Great location, great apartment hotel. Nicely done interior, modern without being tacky. Parking is a quite difficult, but there’s an overnight parking at the port for €6/day.

We stayed for a few days (parents and an adult daughter from California) and we loved the apartment (2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms loft apartment), which was spacious, clean and had plenty of amenities. It was close to shopping, dining and the Venetian fortress. The front staff was so friendly, professional and well informed. Excellent customer service from all of them. They assisted with everything we needed. The housekeeper was also very nice and would always offer us extra water bottles and coffee pods when she was on our floor. All communication before we arrived was also great and checking in was a very smooth process. We would definitely stay at City Lion if we were to visit the city of Iraklios (Heraklion) in the future. What a great experience we had!

Space is amazing- location of hotel is very convenient. Walking distance to center. Lots of restaurants, coffee shops, gelato and pastry shops. Rooms were very clean, bathroom has an amazing shower. Kitchenette is fully stocked if anyone wants to cook. Best part of this stay is the amazing employees, especially Manos. He went above and beyond to help us. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

The best of 10 hotels and apts we have stayed in Greece so far. The personnel/service is super helpful and anticipates to what we needed. Modern, clean, quiet. Provided a map of the city, helps with calling taxis, etc. Best location, walkable. Must stay here at Heraklion!!!

Great location and value

Great location for Heraklion, and overall a great value. The hotel is on a side street that is very close to the city square and all the restaurants and shopping. The room was very spacious and modern, with high ceilings. The hotel gives you a guidebook before you arrive with recommendations and instructions, which was helpful. I wish they had reached out to help arrange a transfer from the ferry, or given some tips on the best way to reach the hotel. Also, the kitchen did not have a microwave and some basic things, like scissors, and the stove/oven were difficult to figure out.

Manos and his staff were absolutely wonderful. We stayed in the comfort loft suite. We are a family of four and it was stunning super spacious everything very clean friendly staff. The location was incredible in the city center walking distance to absolutely everything. Highly recommend.

Comfortable, large space in a good location although a hike to both the ferry terminal and bus station (how we arrived and departed). It was nice to have codes rather than keys to enter. The sofa was super comfortable and nice to have the extra sleeping space. They gave us all the coffee and water we could drink. The recommendations for laundry and dining were excellent.
