Some of the staff didn't speak finnish at all. After all, we are in FINLAND. Breakfast waitress was rude, she did speak finnish. The reception staff was very friendly. Parking place in the backyard was too small, you could have moved the extra snow from there. Aftrer all, 21€/night is quite much, when I'm already paying my staying in your hotel. My other visits have been nice, the room was clean, stylish and beautiful, this room that I had now, was noisy, dirty and awful. The bathroom smelled urine.
First time in this hotel was a positive experience. The hotel was close to everything and still very quiet, also services were good. Price per night was very low and I chose the hotel mostly by the price.
Good and friendly service, cosy rooms, very tidy. My bed was bit uncomfortible. Everything works, close to shopping and eating in the city centre. Busstops and metro close. Excellent pizzamenu! Good quality for cheap prize!
I just simply love it and suggest to anyone. Comfi and cheap compairing to other valued hotels. Close to Eliel Square (tram 3 and 6 comes there). Room is big enough with big size and modern sytle bathroom. Very heavy metal door ensures the quiet area. Service is excellent and staff is friendly and helpful. The elevator is weird but kind of special. Wifi works well. Breakfast included, possibility of ordering early breakfast a night before if you have a plan early morning so you can’t miss it.
Hotel bases in a great loaction, close to all the main attraction(walking distance). Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Room was very clean, comfy bed, good choice of tv channels at night, powerful shower, wifi. Breakfast was really good, good selection, eggs cooked freshly to your liking by the chef. Would recommend
We arrived to the hotel 20 minutes before the official check in time (2 pm) and we had to wait for an hour to get the room. The hotel offered us coffee as compensation which was a nice gesture. Rooms were OK but too warm! Breakfast was OK. The best thing about the hotel is location. It is near the city center but still in a quiet sidestreet. No parking space available at the hotel but we found one on the street nearby.
A comfortable, friendly hotel in Helsinki city centre around 15 mins walk from train station. Rooms were clean, comfortable though you had to request a key from reception to open the window. Staff were friendly and helpful. Small shop across the road selling bottled water and other sundries. Hotel and bar and restaurant offered fairly small selection of usual bar food menu, though it was a good sized and nice meal. Good choice of beer at bar. Food and drink in this country is very expensive, even more so in a hotel !
Great breakfast, big bed, and best of all is the staff. Incredible helpfully, will recommend this beautifully hotel. Walking distance from the center, shops and restaurants only minutes away, this hotel has everything a traveller needs' nice clean rooms, big bathroom with a shower, very nice lobby, breakfast table for a feast, and a staff whom anyone can be proud of,
Centrally located, midway between the central railway station and the freight harbour. In an old building, but the interior has been renovated and the rooms are modern, wide and very clean. The bathroom too (only shower). Available:TV, air conditioning (?), safe, ironing board and fridge (empty with a nice sign explaining that it is a cold space for your items). Free Wi-Fi in the rooms and in the public space. In the summer ask a room facing south or west, otherwise you will have the sun shining through the curtains at 4,30 am. Limited choice at the buffet breakfast. Personnel helpful and polite. Didn't see (nor ask) sauna and gym. Small problem when returning in the hotel at 17,00 the second day the room was not (yet) serviced. Concierge provided another one in a minute.
The greeting from the lady at the reception was wonderfully warm after a long flight into Helsinki, something for which I was rather grateful for. Trying to fit two people with luggage into an elevator like a cupboard can be interesting. Even more so when you find that there is no inner door, so the wall you are left leaning on begins to move beside you, it can be a little disconcerting. This instantly gave me doubts over how the room would be. These doubts turned out to be completely unfounded however, and the room was comfortable enough for two to enjoy our time together. The area is not exactly a long walk from the centre, and in my view is a perfect distance after a large dinner in town.
