This hotel could not be more conveniently located, right at the terminal, an elevator ride from departures and restaurants. The recommended Bistrot was excellent. The room was reasonable spacious, the bathroom a bit small, very modern, the shower, really too small, but otherwise adequate. They have a complimentry breakfast, but our flight left too early for that and so they gave us coupons to have a complimentry breakfast at the airport; unfortunately, they did not mention that those restaurants are only available before going through security and thus since we didn't know, wound up being worthless. A heads up about this would have been nice, since it was early enough that the security lines were short, at least when we cleared security, but having to go through security twice didn't seem worth the effort.
That's what it is. An in & out operation. Good to have a quick sleep if your flight departs very early, or next day connecting after a long haul. Not a good spot if you are claustrophobic. The bed was good but the room smelt kinda weird and I could not turn the AC off.
We stayed here for one night before a very early flight the next morning. The room was very nice and one of the most comfortable we stayed in in Europe. The shower was also probably the largest we'd had for the whole two-week trip. I will say though that we had my mom on the pull-out sofa in our room, and there wasn't much room to walk with all our luggage, but she said the pull-out was more comfortable than she expected. The breakfast they provide is via one of the airport restaurants. Ours was O'Leary's in Terminal 2. It was a decent breakfast, but not the best we've had. They didn't have cereal or juice, which was unfortunate.
I had to leave an Air BNB situation in Vantaa that felt unsafe,so I called GLO Airport. The front desk clerk was genuinely concerned for my safety. She called a taxi for me, and when I arrived, she gave me a better rate than the one she quoted on the phone. My room was sleek, modern, and comfortable, the restaurant next door serves fantastic pizza, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. I'll stop there again the next time I'm flying in or out of Helsinki.
Hotel Glo is nicely located at the bottom of terminal two at Helsinki airport, so it is a great place to stay when you have early flights or very late arrivals. Rooms in general are small but it is possibly reserve with some extra money a larger and cosier room. Hotel does not have its own restaurant, and the restaurant just behind the doors of Glo is closed very early in the evening. A late evening dinner might be a problem. Arrival hall has a pretty goog pasta place which helps a bit hungry travellers.
I enjoyed my stay very much here - the staff were incredibly friendly. The room does not have any windows but was very comfortable. I would have liked tea and coffee making facilities in my room. Slept very well.
Interesting property: very convenient for your flight or after-flight stay, you don't need even out of the airport. But the room is small and the main reason why I will prefer to stay next time at Hilton next door outside is a lack of fresh air, you'll hard to sleep breathing 0 oxygen.
This hotel is located physically inside Helsinki airport, making it a perfect choice if you arrive on a late flight like I did. You literally walk in without even having to go outside - no waiting for transfer buses or similar. It's modern and stylish without being outlandish, though presumably most if not all rooms have no windows since it's basically under the terminal. After an efficient check-in, I stayed one (short) night from a late landing until the morning and so booked a "GLO Smart" room. The smallish room was clean and smart, with an unusual glass "booth" containing the bathroom. Small, but perfectly formed in the typical Nordic way. The main irritating downside that there was no desk - so watch out for that if you are planning to work. However, to compensate, there was a knee rest (typical bean bag-with-wooden-platter thing) and - more significantly - the (good quality) beds were equipped with full electrical adjustments via a remote control, so you can raise the back to sit more comfortably if you're using a laptop or watching TV. I'd still have preferred a desk, though. There is no restaurant in the hotel as such, but included in the room rate was a voucher for breakfast in the airport restaurant located immediately by the hotel entrance (no need to go outside). The restaurant (which I've been to previously for lunch, when not staying at the hotel) - frequented to a large extent by the airport staff - serves a typical Scandinavian buffet to a reasonable standard. I'd certainly consider staying again if I had a late/early flight, though I'd try to get a room with a desk if they exist.
Good service, nice staff, quiet environment. They take EUR 50 deposit at check-in, which is reasonable, however, they do not accept VISA DEBT, so I have to find ATM to get cash. The hotel is located in the airport's basement floor, so there is no window in the room. Room, bathroom, are rather small, but it is ok for a short stay in the airport.
We arrived very late at night - staff at reception were pleasant and efficient. The room was small, but very well equipped. Beds were comfortable and the wifi worked and was free. We noticed that there were no windows, but we didn't need any! One of us sustained a small injury looking for the light switch, but I think tiredness played a large role in this. The A/C worked well and quietly, and the offer of breakfast at a reduced rate inside the airport after check-in was gratefully received.
