Small rooms with no window as based within the airport terminal but fab location if you want to get some sleep before/after a flight. Drilling above my room woke me up and didn’t stop for about 30 mins so phoned reception, the manager couldn’t have been more helpful... Moved rooms and gave me some complimentary chocolate for the inconvenience - bless them. Thought they dealt with it really well. My favourite thing about this hotel is the bed... fully adjustable and electric!! Bed is comfy and room is clean. There is an iron, hairdryer and shampoo and shower gel in the room. Had the free buffet breakfast, was ok actually! Cereal, hot and continental choices.
We are flying off super early the next morning so we checked into this Airport hotel for a night. Although the rate was expensive, this hotel was very conveniently located, strategically situated below T2 and the check-in counter for our Qatar flight back to Singapore was just 2 mins away! And we could take a direct bus to Jumbo Shopping centre, barely around 10-15 min away for some last min shopping. The room was very clean and neat as well. However, we were a bit disappointed with the breakfast as there was limited variety and a small place. It can get crowded during peak breakfast hours when airport staffs came to have breakfast. But other than that, this hotel is worth the stay if you need to be near to the airport.
We wanted to stay Nr the airport, this was perfect. The rooms have no windows, they are all underground. Perfect for sleeping at this time of year in Finland. Comfortable rather quirky small rooms, but ideal for what we required.
Sat right below T2 departures lounge this hotel offers the best exit or entry strategy for your flight. I could conveniently check in my golf clubs for the flight during the evening when it was quiet and just come in with std. luggage in the morning when there is long queues. Nice quiet tidy room and pleasant personnel. Warm recommendation.
Stayed here one day from around 11am till 9 pm and it was perfect for that. They did let me check in early, which was awesome. Easy to get to the city for some good eating and drinking and then back to the airport. Shower, change of clothes, repack... can recommend.
The hotel is in the basement of Terminal 2, and not well sign-posted from the terminal itself, only from the elevator. Rooms are very small but clean and functional. There would be no reason to stay here except with a very early morning flight, or I suppose a very late night arrival. I was leaving too early for breakfast, but they give you a voucher valid for several restaurants in the airport itself (both terminals). I found the room noisier than I am used to -- mostly ventilation noise, and I am sure I could hear somebody snoring loudly from a nearby room. Would I stay here again? Probably, with a very early flight if I weren't already staying in Helsinki. As it was this time, I came from another city in Finland the previous night, and had an early flight, so not worth staying in downtown Helsinki.
Hotel is very conveniently located below the terminal 2, but the rooms are very small and cold. Neighbours kept me awake all the night as you can hear all the voices from other rooms as well as corridors.
Clean and modern room. No windows. We were three persons so it was a bit small for us since there was an extra bed. Good locations as it was very close to the arrival area of the airport The breakfast buffet had very litle selections of food and also the breakfas area was not so inviting.
Having a hotel actually accessible and easily found within an airport terminal is always a good thing. Glo Hotel is probably not even a minute's walk from the terminal arrival doors. Down the escalators beside an Italian restaurant (which they use for their breakfast offerings). Check in was prompt and cordial. Not overly friendly but fine. Yes, it's like an underground bunker. No views of the runway here people! The standard room is tiny with a glass cubicle for a toilet and shower (if you want to hear your partner go to the bathroom very clearly, then this is for you!). The movable beds are a novel idea with controls for your feet and torso - but very hospitable like. The bed is comfortable when you are watching tv but once completely flat it feels a little bumpy with the seams for each movable part apparent. Pillow was extremely flat and without shape too. The main issue in the room (one that which has been brought up here a lot!) is the temperature control. It's not controllable. There is a control panel but you can do anything and it just goes back to what it was. Which, when we were there, was way too warm and interfered with our sleep a little bit. I know it's under airport control but I would be looking at this more closely if I was management. You do hear corridor noise but it's to be expected as an airport hotel. Free wifi worked well throughout.
Convenient situated directly in the airport close to car rental and more. Nice clean and quit rooms. Great bed which can be adjusted in every possible way. Rooms are not big but it's absolutely a hotel I will use again next time I have to stay over.
