Hayward lakeside cabin

The cabin was clean, tidy and in a perfect location on a small quiet lake just outside of Hayward. We had a nice stay at Lynn’s place. She was kind enough to let us check in a bit early as well. If you find yourself in the area, stay here!

False description in amenities

Listed first in popular amenities was hot tub & listed under pool/spa was spa tub. Sent host message about there not being a hot tub and was asked where I had read that. Told her it was on VRBO Site under property amenities. She said it would be removed from site. It’s still listed there. 😔 It also smelled like cigarette smoke 😞

Great little fishing lake

We stayed for 7 days at this cabin, and had the lake to ourselves most days. The large mouth bass bite was excellent and the beds were comfortable. Lynn even brought a blender to the cabin for us when we asked about kitchen tools. The neighbor was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Perfect location. Cabin was very roomy and very clean. Everything you need for the perfect lake/cabin experience. Very relaxing and quiet. A perfect setting for a vacation. Close to town, but yet remote enough to get away.

Great stay at lakeside Northwoods house!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Beautiful site right on the lake, and the property was exactly as described and pictured. My adult sons stayed there with their girlfriends as we are in the process of building a house in the area. Everything that you can think of was provided making for a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Above my expectations

Clean, perfectly furnished, as advertized and more. Many extras to make for a warm welcoming stay. Two sisters and myself had all the privacy and togetherness that we hoped for. Very comfortable stay. We spent alot of time outside with a campfire by the lake. Can't wait to go back

Awesome!!

Very nice, clean place. Towels, shampoo and soap was there to use which is awesome. Having dishes and spices to use if we wanted was awesome even if we didn't use them. Wish the lake was a little more clean and deep. Would have loved a hot tub, but that's a wish list. 😉. The house was so awesome and the managers were so helpful with things to do around.

Great cabin on lake!

We had an absolute fantastic time at this cabin. It was very clean and spacious! We loved having the lake right out the front door. Fishing was good on the lake plenty of panfish, bass and northern were caught. We had a local company drop off a canoe for the week, the lake is not to big so canoeing, kayaking and paddling board was done with ease. This cabin is close enough to Hayward but yet far enough away to enjoy the solitude. The Namekagon river is very close and we did two day trips with tubes and paddle boards. The cabin had absolutely everything we needed for the week, I can honestly say there isn’t one thing we felt was missing. We loved it so much we extended our stay one extra stay and the owner was very accommodating with that. My 8 year old already said we are doing this again next summer!.

Cute, convenient lakefront cottage

We (3 adults) stayed for six nights in August, visiting family nearby. The cottage is cute, comfortable, and well equipped. The lakefront location is lovely, and we enjoyed seeing and hearing the resident loons. It's convenient to happening Hayward and the beautiful Namekagon River. We'd be happy to stay there again. Lynn was very responsive and easy to work with. The property is a bit of a work in progress, and we were among the first, if not the first renters -- I'm sure Lynn will continue to improve it. Some areas still needed some clearing out and/or repairs. The well water, while safe, doesn't smell or taste great. We used bottled water for drinking, coffee, and toothbrushing. The location is mostly quiet, but it's near active rail lines, and we heard train whistles at all hours, including at night. It wasn't a big problem, but it was noticeable. All in all a nice getaway, and I'm sure it will be even better in the future.
