Lovely stay

Perfect location close to Havelock. Water is warm and close - great for kids swimming. Lots of wildlife and a mama and baby loon who visited us a lot. The host is wonderful and the cottage is comfortable and cosy.

Fantastic, flexibile, and friendly!

We had to postpone our trip due to a COVID case, and the owner was extremely helpful and flexible with helping us get rebooked. We also had some questions throughout the stay and communication was always prompt and friendly. The itself property was very clean, cozy, and well heated (we went in November). A wonderful location, tucked away on a quiet lake but only about 10 minutes away from all the essentials (key because the water cannot be consumed). Would strongly recommend for any time of the year!

Great, responsive host!

We had an excellent time during our stay, with beautiful views on the lake and the coziest fireplace. Lots of warm lights throughout the cottage, games, and a well-equipped kitchen made the weekend easy to enjoy. But we were most impressed by the consideration and graciousness of our host. Jen was responsive, thoughtful, and thorough. We greatly appreciated it!

Summer visit

Jen’s place was perfect! Great amount of space for 3 friends. Very clean with a well stocked kitchen. The Dock was lovely and private and the fire pit has a beautiful view of the lake. Would highly recommend!

Water dream

We loved our 4 night stay at Jens simple yet perfect cottage. The proximity to the water was the highlight - feeling like we were in a houseboat on the lake. It was charming and just perfect. Had to be mindful of the weeds but once you got the hang of it, it wasn't a huge deal. The Loons and wildlife were amazing and the sunsets spectacular.

Beautiful getaway property!

This cottage was so cozy and comfortable. It's nice to have the extra bathroom and the beds were very comfortable. The fireplace pilot had gone out but a quick call to the owners who talked us through relighting it and we were enjoying the fire. Great place to get away from the city lights!

Great escape

I had a wonderful experience here. The place is nicer than it looked in the ad, was in a very quiet location, but still only 15 min to town, and had everything you need to just unplug and relax. I will definitely come back here.

Fantastic family holiday

The place had everything we needed and more. The kids loved jumping off the dock and paddling around the bay with the kayak. The beds were comfortable and the entire cottage was clean and well kept we will definitely be booking again for next year.

Jen's cottage was great and a perfect size for our family of 5 adults. The kitchen was very well stocked. The communication with Jen was fantastic, always very prompt to respond. The neighbours are very close. Everyone was friendly, including a small dog that came to visit us often. I would definitely recommend this as a lovely getaway.

Amazing week

We had a wonderful week long stay at Jen's Cottage! Google maps was slightly off the mark, but we weren't too far off course, just turn left at FR 47! The cottage was very clean and had lots of supplies including toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap and dishwasher pods, hand soap, and garbage bags. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked. There was a small deck out back facing the lake as well as the dock, but otherwise not a ton of outdoor space in case you wanted to set up a volleyball net, for example. The kids loved feeding the fish off the dock and the call of the loons were beautiful. We made good use of the canoe and the kid's kayak was great for our 9 & 13 year olds. There were lots of fans available and we never tried the air conditioner. We did have to make a trip to get rid of garbage & recycling (needs to be sorted), about 10 minutes away. The non-potable water did not turn out to be an issue as we used the included water jugs. I would recommend this location for families or get-together with friends. Bedrooms upstairs may be less accessible for some.
