Overnight stop between trains so it is in a very good location. Dinner when we arrived was very good with good service. The next morning we discovered that the shower just did not work, could not get the water to come through the shower at all. The lady who supervised breakfast was very unfriendly and made us feel as if were just a nuisance.
I spent a night there yesterday. I made a mistake in my booking (I booked for one day earlier) and despite that error they changed it and found me a room with no penalty. The room was nice with view on the station square and the restaurant was good with a friendly service. The breakfast was good too with a decent choice.WIFI is difficult to use (disappears too often).
The hotel is ideally located. The old town city center and the major shopping streets are just 5-10 minutes walking distance from the hotel. The staff was friendly and professional. Check-in and check-out experience was smooth and fast. For those travelling by car a convenient parking facility is available. Room was clean with nice furniture but, although we stayed in a renovated superior family room (I guess they call it "privilege" room), a bit too tight for three people occupancy (2 adults and 1 child aged 15). Breakfast was average in terms of choice and quality. One shortcoming of this hotel was the street noise (pls note our room was located on the 1st floor).
Booked online as a member. Dumped into room 118, first floor with a view of the car park, paint peeling off bathroom wall, bed not made correctly and bedside light missing globe. Just walk in off the street for a better room. However; must compliment evening reception staff, very helpful and professional. Tim Gardner. Perth Australia.
Very central, facing TGV station. Hotel is ok, reception looks like it is being refurbished. Restaurant looks like a conference room but the rooms are clean and tidy. Basic things are covers from an actual mini bar with drinks and snacks to a kettle for teas and coffees. No frill hotel, does the trick.
Booked a privilege room in this hotel for my wife and me for a weekend trip to do some shopping and christmas market experience. The good: Great location, very near to the old town and train station (incl. TGV). Tram station also in front of the door (we never used it) and parking garage available. Check-in and check-out were very easy and quick. Room was ok (average size), comfortable bed and nice walk-in shower. Room cleaning was ok. The Not-so-good: Room was very 'empty', in fact we experienced some kind of echo (never had this in a hotel room). Maybe some pictures or different funriture would help... Bar was closed due to construction work, so we went to the restaurant for a Cappuccino. After a long time, we were served some weak coffee with some sort of foam on it...far from Cappuccino. Breakfast was average (but nicely presented). We were not asked or offered anything from the staff (like omelett or scrambled eggs), maybe this results from the fact that most of the clients are bus tour groups that don't seem to get that kind of dedicated service usually seen in Mercure. Value for money was not so great (even adding 10 EUR per day for parking), so we would most probably not stay in this hotel again next time we visit Mulhouse.
This is the second time of using this hotel, clean, tidy and spacious rooms, good evening meals and even better breakfasts. Across the square from the train station Nice old town with good bars to visit, a pleasant place to stop on your journey. A nice ending (both times) to a good holiday
This is up to the usual Mercure standard of convenience, cleanliness and comfort. The dinner in the hotel was excellent with good waiter service. The cotinental breakfast provided a good variety of food. The hotel is situated across the road from the railway station, so is perfect for an overnight stay. The hotel is located only a five minute walk from the attractive historic centre.
We've stayed here a couple of times on rail trips. The hotel is ideally situated opposite the railway station in the lovely Alsace town of Mulhouse. The hotel staff are very welcoming and the rooms are comfortable and clean.
1.The air conditioner was not cooling and they refused to change my room. 2.The room smells bad 3.The breakfast ist far from the level of other hotels of the same level 4. Bad service of staff on the reception TERRIBLE!
