All round great hotel! Very friendly staff, good food and beautiful surroundings. Very close to stores and local amenities. A lovely place to spend a week or two, while in Alsace. Highly recommendable! And they get super weather in the Spring and Summer.
I loved the atmosphere and the art deco style of the hotel, especially the atmosphere of the bar is nice and cosy. The hotel itself does unfortunately start to show signs of age and need some atttention, For example in one of the rooms the temperature regulation was broken leaving the room very warm. Also the bathroom was showing signs of wear and tear and eventhough the room was clean the age of the carpet made it look dirty. Also the beds were not very comforable, the matras was sagging so as soon as you got in the bed you automatically rolled to the middle. The breakfast was OK but not worth the € 23 they are charging for it. Furthermore upon arrival the girl behind the reception hardly spoke English although she did do her best to help us this does not live up to my expectation of a 4 star hotel.
Hotel is in a great position but sadly let down by its unwelcoming staff and terrible attitude designed to fleece tourists of every euro they can lay their hands on. To explain, having decided to eat dinner in the hotel as they were putting on a jazz evening we ordered a half bottle of wine to accompany the meal. We were shocked to find out when the bill was presented that the half bottle of average table wine cost €30. On enquiring why we were being charged so much the answer supplied was that it was from the bar. Notwithstanding the complaint no gesture or compromise was offered. Suggestion - stay somewhere else. PS you will have to take your own luggage from car to room and back again - good for building the muscles.
Arrived late at the hotel only to find the parking was round the corner and not near the hotel in a basement car park didn't feel very safe. The hotel a/c was broken so the hotel room as stiffling, opened windows but on a busy road ,so hot we could not sleep. The room was average not a four star? No kettle in room so no beverages available. The breakfast was good but flies crawling all over the meats cheeses and salmon not very appealing. Felt a little ripped off wasn't as nice as we were expecting. Room was very old fashioned.
Really good quality rooms and very friendly staff who really looked after us, a party of 10. Good bar and nice breakfast scene in a central part of town. Lots of parking if you are with a car, and well presented all round.
A friendly hotel that has style and grace appeal. The staff are nice but only spoke French. Arrived late so did not sample the restaurant but had a warm welcoming reception and ground floor area. Rooms are nice and traditional with well stock mini bar. Enjoyable but brief stay.
Old school hotel with a physical key for the room. Single room was a good size. Major issue for me was that there were hardly any vegetarian options at the bar. Breakfast was fine. Staff were very friendly.
I've spent 2 nights with my family, booking 2 communicating rooms. I've seen a few mixed reviews and while it's true that certain elements begins to show their age, the hotel still looks very nice with lots of art-deco furniture and a very charming retro mood, emphasised by the jazz music and the soft lighting. The cozy rooms still worth the price, considering their size, their cleanliness and the excellent position of the hotel, just a few steps from undless shopping and eating possibilites and the station. The bar, the parking and the breakfast seems to me a little overpriced in consideration of their current condition and some very informal policies (like having to ask and bring back the remote whenever you need the enter the garage). I've seen better 4* in my life, but usually they're more expensive - except for the additional services. All considered: price, location, charme, staff, etc, I think that the price/quality ratio at Du Parc is more than acceptable and I will definitely stay here again for my next stay in Alsace.
Quite and old hotel with rooms barely hitting the average standard. Although I must admit that I booked them on booking.com, so may be it was a question of price... Room service good was surprisingly tasty and well presented, but the breakfast was kind of a disappointment and definitely was not worth even 15 EUR (I paid 23).
In an Art Deco building this hotel has been recently renovated but couldn't somehow really improve, it's still kind of old rather than stylish. The rooms are decent, no real style recognizable, a bit decadent but clean. Breakfast was good. The restaurant not really, without any identity, low quality ingredients and food.
