Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Laurel

We stayed here while we were in Laurel on business. The hotel is nice & clean. Our room was nice and spacious. No complaints on the room. The pool was way to cold for my taste. The hot tub was like a warm pool and the jets were wimpy. Breakfast was good. It's your typical HIE breakfast. No complaints. I would stay here again if I were in Laurel MS and I would recommend it to others.

This should have been one of our best stays of our trip. It appeared to be a newer Holiday Inn with a larger "express breakfast" area (some of the others were a "re-purposed" corner), and a pool. There appeared to be only one person at the desk and she seemed to have had a bad day. This was the first time on our trip I was asked for ID and credit card (three nights reserved in advance at three different Holiday Inns) and when I mentioned that this was different I got a cool response. Breakfast was also understaffed as some of the selections were empty and slow to be refilled. To be fair some of the guests were not aware of "cafeteria" protocol as several tables were left with dirty dishes and trash on them. We decided to give them a second chance and stopped here again on our return trip. The same person was on the desk (alone ?) but was more pleasant, answered a question I had about the pool with a smile, and sounded more positive over all. However this is the only Holiday that did not thank me for being a Rewards Club member. Breakfast was better supplied and we saw at least two people working in that area. Getting better but still room for improvement.

A quick business trip to taylorsville ms and this was the closest ihg. The hotel is difficult to access coming from I-59 south. It's right across the intersection. At check in, they only had 1 reservation instead of my 2 booked. Luckily, they had an extra room. I received the bill and they charged me a higher price than my original reservation. Of my 2 queen beds, one of them sunk in really bad so I swapped to my other bed. It was fine. The best part is the Buffalo Wild Wings are within walking distance. Overall, standard holiday inn express. I would still stay again.

Meh - Not up to the standard I'm used to at HIE properties but it did the job for a night. Decor and climate control was nice. Fixtures and amenities were outdated and worn out. Shower didn't drain well. Breakfast was dry and hard.

This hotel should be listed as a 3 star, the 2.5 does not reflect the wonderful accommodation's of this property. In addition to the standard amenities for a property of this size, there is a nice indoor pool with a wonderful hot tub. The gym is bigger and better providing much more equipment than the other properties in this category I actually got this hotel for the weekend of 11/25-11/27 through hotwire at half the published rate. I was there for business and had a lot of work to do. During my stay I incurred a challenge which had nothing whatsoever to do with the property. The front desk agent, the frontdesk supervisor and the General Manager all came to my assistance. I was upgraded to a suite which was over and above the solution to my challenge, but certainly made my stay and work that much more convenient. Stars are given based on physical amenities, but it doesn't matter how wonderful the amenities are if you do not encounter a staff who shows genuine care and concern for their guest. This staff understands and delivers hospitality that exceeds expectations. Not only did they deliver on a promise but by moving me and upgrading me they did so at a financial loss. So if you ever need a hotel room in Laurel, MS do yourself a favor and stay at the Holiday Inn Express. My heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful staff.

We stayed just one night and found the bed you be very comfortable but the carpet had a tear in it that might have beefy partially repaired. The draperies also needed repairs. The room and bathroom were good sized but the extra chair was only an uncomfortable straight back chair. Overall quiet except for noise from the floor above. Breakfast was very good.

The cost per night was average for the chain, but high for the town it's in. The location is very convenient...near the freeway and not far from common eateries and retailers. The hotel was clean and comfortable with nice staff members. Breakfast was good too...always a plus

Nice, clean, and comfortable accommodations with convenient location from the highway. The friendly staff made us feel welcome. Will definitely stay here again if we are I in the area. The breakfast buffet was good. There were enough choices so everyone could choose their favorites. My family especially enjoyed the wonderful warm cinnamon rolls. White gravy and biscuits, always a treat for me, was my personal favorite. Adequate seating for the buffet, also. There was free coffee in the lobby at all hours. The lobby was large enough for our extended family to sit and visit. I recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for clean, comfortable, affordable accommodations while travelling.

Fantastic stay at a great hotel. Love the Keurig in the room. Our bed was great and the shower was nice and big. The staff were very friendly and we got in our hotel room quickly. Looking forward to coming back.

LOVE this hotel, it is absolutely GORGEOUS! As soon as We entered the hotel, I was in love. The lobby and breakfast area are just beautiful. Our room was the largest I have EVER had at any hotel. As soon as I opened the door I didn't want to leave, it was that perfect. The breakfast was the typical breakfast at all Holiday Inn Express hotels. Love the cinnamon rolls, and the scrambled eggs were very good, just a bit watery. The only thing that surprised me was at breakfast our first morning there were employees getting breakfast during breakfast hours. I can understand if it were after breakfast hours and if there was still food left over however; during breakfast hours while guests are waiting? We even had to wait for an employee to finish getting their food before we could. Just a bit odd to me.
