Like - The property sits about 100 yards from the Atlantic Dislikes - There is no office to check in with so you need to call ahead of time and get a code to get into your room. The ice machine does not work. Our room was not as described. It smelled terribly musty. There is mold in the corners of the ceiling just outside the bathroom. There were ants all over the place. It was pouring when we got there and there was water on the floor just outside the bathroom that I believe was coming from a leaking roof through the walls (might explain the mold). We have not contacted the property management about this yet for them to try to rectify these problems. Hopefully they will be proactive.

Simple room but has everything you need. Full kitchen with dishes and pans. Coffee maker, toaster refrigerator. One large room with table, TV, bed. It was clean and at this time of year it was quiet. I'd stay there again.

We really liked the overall property,, enjoyed the pool, beautiful beach and access We appreciated the fully equipped kitchen. A positive experience overall, we will be back, by the grace of God.

Great spot! Will go back. We took a nice walk right on the beach. Close to ferry. Perfect with kitchen.

Was new to the Hatteras area, prior stays were in Nags Head. I liked the hotel being so close to the beach and having a nice pool but there were some things about the actual room i would have preferred. I had a handicap accessible room which I did not request but that was fine but for some reason there was no place to hang my clothes, no closet or bar for clothes. It had a full kitchen which was nice but would not need an oven/stove. The main issue was not under the motel's control which was the mosquitoes that checked in a week prior to myself! They were deadly and had never had an experience with mosquitoes at a beach before so being very quick with the door was essential! I found the bed very comfortable but not my husband but everyone has their own taste. Found the room small and a bit vulnerable having the bed right next to the door but whatever. Loved the fact that there was not carpet but tile!! Also loved the artwork in the room it was really pretty and the bed was nice also! So other than the mosquitoes and no closet etc....I had a very nice stay and slept well and it was "off season" a bit so was nice to have the pool all to myself! There is also a very nice deli across the street.

Rooms were clean and comfortable, but the toilet clogged and we called 5 or 6 times, but no one was sent out to fix it. We could have done it if there had been a plunger in the room.

Motel is dated but clean. Pool is clean and well kept but it's very utility (no restrooms outside or changing room). Beach is just over the dune very convenient. They have a fish cleaning area and plenty of ice.

Great location. A short walk over the dune and you're on the beach! Quiet beach with minimal people.
