Dear Management of Sam Lord's Castle, I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your resort and to request compensation for the significant service failures I experienced. My vacation, which was meant to be relaxing, was instead stressful and disappointing due to several unacceptable issues. My concerns are as follows: 1. Lack of Historical Disclosure: I was deeply disturbed to discover that the property is a former plantation where enslaved people were housed. This is critical information that should be disclosed to guests prior to booking. Had I been aware of this sensitive history, I would have chosen other accommodations. This lack of transparency is a serious ethical oversight. 2. Unprofessional and Unhelpful Staff: The level of service from your staff was consistently poor. They were not courteous or helpful, and on one occasion, a request for assistance was met with the response, "you can go do it yourself." This is an entirely unacceptable way to treat a guest at a resort, where a certain standard of service is expected. 3. Inadequate All-Inclusive Dining: The "all-inclusive" dining schedule is misleading. With dinner service ending at 9:00 PM and no other food options available on-site, guests are forced to leave the resort and pay for meals elsewhere. This defeats the purpose and value of an all-inclusive package. 4. Neglected Beach Area: The beach was unkempt and appeared deserted. While I understand it may be the off-season,

I will NEVER stay at Wyndham Sam Lord’s Castle again, and I strongly advise anyone else to avoid it. This so-called “all-inclusive” resort was nothing but a disaster from start to finish. When we arrived, nearly everything was closed. Shops? Closed. Activities? Closed. It felt like we’d checked into an abandoned property. For the price we paid, that’s absolutely unacceptable. The food was terrible — bland, limited, and downright depressing. To make things worse, food service completely shuts down at a certain time. If you’re hungry after that, tough luck. How can an all-inclusive resort lock guests out of food? On top of that, the hotel is far away from any other restaurants or food options, so you’re basically stuck with garbage food and no alternatives. Room service? Just as bad. Orders came wrong, cold, or not at all. The staff seemed indifferent and uninterested, as if guests were a burden. Customer service at every level was unprofessional and apathetic. And to top it all off, the air conditioning went out across the hotel during our last night. We were left sweating in our rooms, trying to sleep in sweltering heat. No apology, no compensation, no urgency from the staff — nothing. This place is a complete joke. Between the closed amenities, bad food, restrictive meal times, lousy room service, poor staff attitude, and even broken air conditioning, this hotel is a total failure. If you’re thinking about booking here — DON’T. Save yourself the frustration and disappoi

The food was good but can be more options at the buffet, castle view was the best to eat at and the other restaurant by the pool area I forgot the name. Some of the staff were very nice. The only thing that I didn't like was there supposed to be a 24 hour bar but they closed early because they said they didn't have enough "staff" but staff were In there just sitting down talking. That was one of the issues I had but other than that it was cool

Check in and checking out was not a problem. It was one of the most pleasant refreshing experience, being met with the stunning view and the staff upon entering. However, nothing could have prepared my and I for such rudeness and lack of respect for guest as we ventured past check in. Before going forward, I must say, that Tyrone, our butler was awesome. Had I known that the rest the rest of the staff would have been so horrible, I would have used him more. We started off hungry and decided to get food. It was suggest to go to the food bar, by the pool. We waited what seem to be 2 hrs just to get food. There was only 2 other people there. The waitress was rude and had this attitude like she didn't want us there. We brushed it off. Dinner time came and our butler made us reservation for 6 pm. We arrived and waiting 40 minutes to be seated with the dining room barely full. We were ignored and treated as if were guest who showed up to their house uninvited. It was so bad, the Tyrone came to check in on us around 8:45 pm and we had yet to receive our food. It was past 3 hrs before we received any food. The rudeness continued the following morning at breakfast. I arrived before 10:30 and the lady refused to cook an omelet for me stating "I'm transitioning ". I didn't know what that meant but whatever. I then walk around with my 6 year old daughter seeking a bowl because she wanted cereal. I asked 3 different servers who all decline to assist.
