I am an avid traveler and this is NOT a 5 star hotel, by European or US standards, it’s like a 2 star motel at most. If you are on a budget and want a smelly place to crash then go for it. I paid for a non refundable room and was happy to walk away from this trash and checking into The Oriental Jade hotel down the street. I am on vacation and wanted to a good and clean room to come back to and not a smelly dump. Also the customer service sucks, manager will swiftly change role to a bell boy to avoid accountability and will all of a sudden stop speaking in English. Orbitz was also of no help, but it is what it is, spend a little extra and if you want to stay in the old quarter please check out The Oriental Jade hotel, it’s way better than this dump.

First off its not a 5 star hotel. They need to stop listing it as a 5 star hotel as this is totally misleading. Its not a bad hotel but its a 3 star at best. The location is very good and the staff are excellent and very helpful and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and clean although the wifi can be spotty or even absent in some rooms. Im not unhappy with my stay and I think it was worth the lower rate I paid, but there are much nicer hotels in the area for not much more money.

Hotel is in the heart of the old quarter. You can’t go wrong in any direction you head out in. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Great window views of the city and the room itself was clean and tidy every day.

“This hotel is barely 2-star quality. The room is small, the bathroom looks outdated, and the curtains are dirty. We requested VIP access but were told it wasn’t available, only to be given a room tucked away in the back. For the price we paid, this feels like a complete scam.”

We have free upgraded to classic City view was nice view, modern facilities. We like Victor restaurant & rooftop bar so much. We booked Bai tu long bay 2 days 1 night was good.

Victor Metropolis hotel & rooftop bar is one of best hotel in Hanoi old quarter. Our King room was large, nice city view, clean and modern facilities. hotel staffs was friendly. Hotel location is perfect that’s close to lake, night market, shops nearby. Book it.
