After my flying duty, we reached our airline corporate hotel, Sunway Hotel Hanoi, few minutes before midnight. Upon check in, the receptionist handed my over a beautiful surprise gift prepared in advance for me. I would like to thank Sunway Hotel Hanoi for this attention, it made my birthday special!

Not a good place for an allergic person, it’s carpet everywhere, but at least the smoking smell is subtle compared to hotels on Asia, the staff is a bit slow but helpful. It’s well located in the town, 10 min walking to the old quarter which is great.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and certainly it is comfortable and clean. The front desk staffs was really helpful. Check-in and check-out process was fast. Internet connectivity is fast and signal is strong throughout the hotel. It is however not a short walking distance to/from Hanoi Old Quarter - certainly require to take taxi/Uber/Grab. Overall, if you want to stay away from the busy streets and have a good night sleep, Sunway Hotel seems to check the box.

We stopped at the Sunway for three nights recently and while we enjoyed it, there was room for improvement. We were greeted by friendly staff at the door on every occasion when entering/leaving the hotel. Upon arrival, one of the staff members took us to the lounge area and made us a cup of coffee. Their english was good and we never had a problem communicating with them. She sat down with us and showed us all the local places to visit on a map and answered any questions we had. Our room was lovely and clean, but the view was a wall next door. Obviously there's nothing they could do about that (it is what it is). Certainly not the hotel's fault and it wasn't a major issue for us. The breakfast was 3/5. It tasted great, but there wasn't much variety. The location was good too, within 10 minutes walk of the old quarter. Initially we thought it was a bit far away, but it was much quieter than in the busy areas so it worked out well. We didn't mind the walk as it wasn't far. The room service was the biggest let down. Not the service itself, the quality of food. We ordered nachos, a sandwich and fries. The nachos basically came as some tortilla chips, with a small amount of guac, salsa and sour cream. Considering it cost nearly £7 we were disappointed. The sandwich and fries were okay but nothing special. In comparison, the hotel we stayed at in Hoi An provided considerably better quality room service food at the same (slightly lower) cost. That's why there's no excuses with the food quality here. A lovely stay and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves but room for improvement with the food. Would still recommend to anyone visiting Hanoi

Nothing exceptional, but clean and tidy. Staff are friendly, even though their knowledge of English is sometimes very limited. The bar has a good choice of drinks and a nice seating area. Drinks are a bit on the expensive side though.

I stayed in this hotel and was happy with the fast check in service. The front office speaks English and the doorman is very helpful. Compared to other 4 star hotels I must say that the rooms are a little outdated. Amenities are allright, but the mini bar was empty and since I arrived very late I found this very inconvenient. They put a lot of flyers on the bed, little too much to my opinion. Overall a good hotel to stay for a night in Hanoi.

The staffs are very helpful. Room was great. Breakfast was okay. Not many choice for muslims but i was okay with it because they serve fresh croissants and i enjoyed it a lot. The area is also quite. About 15-20 mins walk to the hoan kiem lake.

While touring Vietnam we stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. The bedroom we had was of good size. The bathroom was spacious.. Good central location. Walking distance to the Hanoi Opera House Theatre. The buffet breakfast catered for everybody. So much choice. Staff helpful and polite. The exchange rate we got for exchanging money from £ Sterling was the best we had received all tour.

Stayed here a couple of times for my business trips in Hanoi. Love this hotel & its thoughtful services. Lounge was great with excellent snacks & drinks, but would be better to have more business newspapers/magazines like FT, the Economist or Nikkei. Breakfast was awesome especially the fruit juice section. Room is ok, needs some improvement for TV channels as their quality is not very good. Gym is a bit old but good enough to work out a bit. Overall, this is a great hotel for business people who want to find a good place to relax after long day of meeting. Location is also very good as it is only about 15-20' walk from the Sword Lake.

Nice big clean rooms. The breakfast was great. Eating it set me up for most of the day. Is it's in the old quarter it's a great part of town with loads of shopping as you wander through the streets. It's nice to get back to the hotel and relax in a cool room.
