Stayed for 4 nights at Sunway hotel Hanoi 2 week ago. Was on business trip and am glad that they gave me a very nice and comfortable room. (I think it was upgraded) Stayed on 7th floor and there is a new business lounge at the same level and I was invited to the lounge for evening cocktails and drinks. Nice lounge. Met the staff in charge of the lounge, Ms Mary Duong. She is very pleasant and smiling, heating up the food, serving drinks. Very friendly and she can speak and understand english very well. I am surprised considering not many locals can speak or understand the language, let alone be able to understand and hold a conversation. Stayed for an hour and enjoyed myself very much. The other staff at check in and conceige were very friendly and pleasant. Would recommend Sunway hotel for anyone staying for businees or for leisure in Hanoi.

The Sunway Hotel Hanoi was the final hotel on our tour of Cambodia and Vietnam and so glad it was. The location of the hotel is not what I was expecting, a taxi drive from the sites or night life etc (to myself not good area). Our room on the 11th floor was certainly not 4 Star, overlooking run down flats. The room was small, basic and after spending all day out with our guide we came back to the room in the same condition we had left it in. We reported it and waited in the lobby for it to be done, when we returned to our room the new bedding was very damp, my husband and myself slept on top of the bed that night. The following day was our check out, we asked if there was a room they had to get changed in (we were being picked up at 1030 for our flight), we were directed to the gym (but couldn't use showers unless we paid more money). The staff in the hotel were very good and helpful. Our first hotel on our tour was the Sunway in Phnom Penh, so we did have something to compare this hotel with.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my fiancé. The hotel itself is excellent, rooms are clean and spacious, good bathroom, good shower. Room price included buffet breakfast with a great spread of Vietnamese and Western foods. The staff were friendly, eager to help and spoke excellent English. The only single downside is location being a few blocks away from where you might prefer to stay with all the restaurants, shops and markets. Having said that, a Grab Taxi for 22k dong ($1USD) picked us up within 2 minutes and took us anywhere in the Old Quarter we wanted to go. Would happily stay here again.

The rooms are big, the services are very good and the breakfast is nice. Lot of choices in breakfast including 02 Indian dishes. Must stay in Sunway Hanoi. Totally city center. The lake is 10 minutes from the hotel.

The hotel looks old but is fully modern. Comfortable rooms, rich breakfast, tasty dinner with large choice, friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location in the old city. Fast free wifi. Highly recommended.

The room; Comfortable, special as it has more angles than normal room, and the "corner" stone is the welcoming fruit bowl. The Buffet; Heavenly abundance with perfect cuts of meat together with freshly baked breads, of which i would say it is "Bacon-licious" and definitely "Pho-licious" The experience; The hotel generate an ambiance worthy of it's 4 star rating, being an around the clock workaholic, the high speed wifi is a great relieve. To top it off, guests are consistently greeted by smiling and ever so helpful hotel staff.

Tien Tran and Hoang Thanh took us around Hanoi city today very nice young men very polite and informative. Highly recommend. The men were introduced to us by Sunway Hotel. They volunteer their time to practice their English by providing this service. The program is a very good initiative and should be supported where ever possible Thank you both Tien & Hosng for a memorable day from Nick and Seb

The hotel may look old but it was cozy and smelled so nice. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast spread was simple yet delicious and of quality. Great serviuce. Mum and I had a great stay. Hotel room was clean and bed was comfy. Bathroom rather small though

We stayed here for two separate nights with trip to Halong bay in between. Hotel lobby is lovely and well kept. Our 1t night our room was at the end of corridor and had extra space. Next one just a standard room. Bit more cramped with 2 large suitcases but did the job as didn't spend much time there anyway. Easy taxi ride away from midtown. Bout $3 each way. Breakfast on 1st morning was excellent. Eric in restaurant was fantastic and really on the ball about everything. On the 2 nd morn when we decided to have a lie in due to a very busy schedule for the 7 days before. We went down at 9.20 and everything seemed to be finished. Eric must have had the day off.We sat around and asked for fresh stuff and eventually people came out and cooked some things for us. Boiling water for tea was freezing and hot plates with cooked breakfast plates was turned off and empty even though breakfast was meant to be served til 10am But as I say everything turned out ok in the end. Fresh made fruit juice was a nice touch. The only thing missing in this hotel is a pool which would have been lovely when we finally had a bit of spare time out of our schedule. Staff all lovely but a special mention must go to Eric

We did a 10 day tour and this was the first hotel we stayed in. Its within walking distance to places to eat. Service was excellent and room was very comfortable. Room and lobby was spacious. Buffet Breakfast was fine and in a big dining area.
