We stayed here at two different occasions during our visit. Both were wonderful experiences. All members of staff were great; They were always friendly, accommodating, and ready to help you with anything. Staff at the lobby would always offer to help carry your things or call a taxi for you. We were also able to exchange US dollars to Vietnam dong at a very good rate. The restaurant was also great. The food was cooked well and the staff were always cordial and helpful. Breakfast also takes place here and the food is delightful. The restaurant also has balcony seating and you can catch a great view of West Lake (Hồ Tây). We had immaculate, bright, and spacious rooms. The beds were comfortable and clean. The bathrooms were clean and modern. One of the rooms where we stayed had an issue where the hot water in the shower started running out after about 20 minutes of use. The other room did not have this problem, but the window would not close completely. Other than those, no complaints. The hotel is in a great location; you can just walk out and get everything you need and walk back. It feels safe. We arrived on International Women's Day, so the three ladies in our party received bouquets of flowers delivered to our rooms. It was truly a charming surprise for us. Service was really excellent. Bottom line: I'd stay here again. It's a great place.
It was an absolutely beautiful hotel for an amazing price! The rooms were very clean and well managed. The staff was extremely helpful and always had a smile on their faces! The breakfast was delicious! We stayed there for over a week and didn't have a single problem! I will not stay anywhere else in Hanoi! Sunset Westlake is the place to stay!
We used this as an overnight transit hotel when passing through Hanoi. It is 20 minutes from the airport and the hotel charges US$18 for a private pickup. The hotel is not great. The build quality is low, meaning it's noisy and doors don't quite shut, tiles out of alignment, thin windows etc. even on the 8th floor, the traffic noise was disturbing until midnight. Breakfast on level 11 caters to Asian tastes. The room doubles as a karaoke bar at night. It is more convenient than staying in the city if you are in transit, but I'd search for other alternatives. The view is very good. Tips - ask for a room on the upper floors to avoid noise. Don't expect to eat nearby as there is not much of use surrounding the hotel.
The staff was friendly, helpful, courteous and spoke English. We were able to exchange US dollars for Vietnamese dong. The rooms were clean and modern. Breakfast was complimentary. Breakfast was buffet with cooked to order eggs. The neighborhood was safe to walk. The nearby lake was nice.
We stayed here for a few days at the end of November/beginning of December 2016. Everything about this hotel was wonderful! The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. The food was delicious and abundant, with a wide variety of food items. The rooms were large and clean with beautiful views of the lake. There could be a bit more TLC with general maintenance, but it's minor stuff. I would stay here again and I highly recommend it to others for a safe, pleasant stay.
excellent staff ,the room was new renovate, clean but smell smoke,Breakfast was very delicious and view from restaurant was great.I stayed for 2 nights,This hotel value for money but a little bit far from old quarter area.We ues Uberblack service during our stay.Very convenience with uberblack from hotel.
Pro The views from the upper floors and restaurant overlooking the lake is a big plus The rooms were clean, the hotel staff was polite and friendly good wifi connectivity. Washrooms are large and well maintained Value for money Cons The major downside for me as a tourist was that the location was far from old quarter and most of the tourist attractions, and there weren't many places to shop or restaurants nearby Apart from the rooms and the restaurant on the top floor, it doesn't have a look or feel of a proper hotel with non-existent common areas. Everything seems to be compressed in a short space.
My wife, 3 months baby and me stayed two nights while attending to a business nearby. Staff was friendly and food upstairs decent. Building is old and needs maintenance. The room was ok, but needed maintenance. My wife saw a cockroach so cleaning is not the best either. The view from the room was nice and the spa was ok as well. The area is nice to walk and has a KFC across the street, plus many vietnamese options. I would not stay with the family again, but giving price range, I would consider it if staying by myself.
Hotel staff is very friendly and professional. I think the rate is quite reasonable, since I traveled within a limit budget. The room is clean; Especially, the bathroom! I would stay there again next trip to Ha Noi.
The location is perfect, as the hotel overlooks the West Lake and it has a great rooftop bar/restaurant. It is a little run down but for the prices they charge it is excellent value. The rooms are spacious and clean, with fridge and safe. The staff is the best: very friendly and attentive. The wifi kept failing but they fixed it. Breakfast was included and it was acceptable.
