Excellent, spacious room with a good view of the lake. Room comfort and amenities all high quality. I enjoyed a relaxed dinner in the Deja Vu lobby bar on my final evening in Hanoi. Staff service and assistance was outstanding. I highly recommend this hotel for business stay, special events, or at the end of a travel vacation in Vietnam when you want to relax and prepare for a long flight home. Will stay here again during my next visit to Hanoi.
After an amazing 17 day adventure in Vietnam my husband and I stayed at the lovely Sheraton Hanoi Hotel. We chose this beautiful place to relax before the long flight back home to New Zealand. It's situated perfectly close yet just far away enough from the hustle and bustle of the old quarter which is only a short taxi ride away. The staff were friendly and made our stay very special sending us bite sized pieces of their decadent chocolates everyday. We made good friends with a nice, ever smiling and all round helpful and friendly staff member, Son Bell. The food was fabulous with my husband over indulging himself in their fabulous breakfast buffet each day. The services such as massages, fitness center and pool were relaxing too and we had the best yoga lesson with their instructor Mr. Nam who made sure we were nimble and supple after our lesson
We have just stayed at the sheraton hanoi for 3 nights. You can not fault the service here. The staff are all wonderful. Rooms are a great size with all ammenities provided. Large bathroom, comfy beds and a great view of the lake from the 2 rooms we were in. Breakfast was just the usual but lots of selection. Gym was great! It is about a $3-4 taxi ride into the old quarter so not too bad! Thanks for a great stay!
This place had always been my favorite for reasonable price but very good service. But my last stay wasn’t turned out well. First was about a lady receptionist. I don’t remember her name, she was in white Ao dai. When I checked in, I wasn’t very welcomed. I gave her my ID card and when she returned it to me, she just placed it with one hand and it was almost like throwing in front of me. Maybe I’m a little too hard on it but I had never witnessed before with the old friendly staffs. Then I got trouble with parking. When I got back the hotel, there was a wedding, and the parrking slots were full. I asked the security guy for a parking slot because I’m hotel guest, at least they have to arrange on site parking for me. But they refused and talked to me really rude: the hotel is busy today and you’re lucky to have this slot (earlier, they asked me to park my card outside the hotel). I got so mad at that time, and then I talked to a receiptionist, luckily, he saved the hotel. He called the security manager and they kindly asked me to park again with an on site slot. The security manager yelled at the others and he even asked a driver in a Bentley to give the slot because hotel guests are always priority. I’m sorry I didn’t mean to be a trouble maker, but I wanted to avoid unexpected problem for them. What if I parked outside the hotel and my car got crashed or the mirrors got stolen? It would take them couple months of salary for compensatory, or they would have to stay up the whole night just to watch it out. Or at least, they should have politely asked my room number and ask me to re-park when they had available slot on site instead of talking so rude to me. So that’s my problem. But overall the hotel is not to bad. Not sure if i’m going back
One of the best hotel in hanoi. Every person so nice and can speak english and so friendly. You can feel like a home ^^ with great view of Tay ho lake . Especially always help you in Loi Nguyen concierge and in desk Minh Bui give to you best conditions room! Call to reservation part Linh Trinh If you didn’t find the room. She will be find and help to your booking really kindly. In my case I was lost my glasses in hevy rain day at in front of hotell but all of steps try to find my glasses they found for me ^^ When i visit hanoi every time i stay in sheraton hanoi!
My Vietnamese language abilities are pathetic, so it was nice that this hotel made me feel comfortable and most employees' English was adequate and they were patient. I'm very happy there was a fitness center, since it can be hard to stay in shape on the road. Great location - can walk to many food places and attractions or a quick ride into other parts of town. My room was clean, the breakfast is amazing (I miss it already), and all staff were great, especially Huyen Nguyen, my room maid, who was super cheerful and accommodating, and always with a smile! Thanks.
The location is on a scenic lake although not near the Old Quater it is $3.00 taxi ride to the Old Quarter. The spacious lobby with smiling faces greets you as you arrive. Sadly the young gentlemen with glasses did not catch his name who checked us in spent a half hour trying to make our daughter take a separate room while she wanted to be with us. Only bothersome part of our stay. That young man is a used car salesman not some one who should be at reception. On the other hand Mai was very gracious and very helpful every time we approached her for assistance. Mr. Phoung Nguyen was extremely helpful in arranging our sightseeing tours. The rooms are spacious and we had a room with a beautiful lake view. The breakfast buffet is sumptuous and a wonderful way to start the day. Room service food is good but a bit pricey.Have to pay for Wifi in the room too? But everyone in the place had smiling faces and were very helpful and gracious which made for very comfortable and enjoyable stay. We loved it and we would recommend The Sheraton Hanoi for a relaxed and restful stay.
Stayed for 3 nights and we upgraded to the Ambassador Suite with Club facilities. This suite is huge - providing fantastic views across the area and Hanoi. Staff very attentive and courteous - always happy to help. Club facilities were really good - great dishes and drinks available with wonderful service. The hotel is located a few miles from the city itself and unfortunately we were scammed by a rogue taxi driver so do be careful about taking taxis on the street and perhaps get hotel to arrange. Enjoyed the main sights in Hanoi and overall a great break at the Sheraton!
We stayed here when we arrived in Vietnam and again 3-weeks later on our way home. We arranged to be picked up at the airport and our driver was right there as we exited Customs. Directly from checking in, which Binh Nguyen made easy with with a friendly face and our same floor. We also had to changed the dates of our reservation which he made seamless. We went directly to the Hemisphere Restaurant on site and had another fabulous meal from Chef Duc and his great servers. We took advantage of the Club Lounge on both our stays and it was nice that Minh Bui, who works the Happy Hour in the Lounge, greet us as remembered customers and made sure we were happy with seats, drinks and food, professionally with a smile. Most usually don't say much about housekeeping but for us it was a pleasure to have Ms Hoi Nguyen as our room's assigned housekeeper. We are looking forward to our return next year to Sheraton Hanoi. Aloha
Although the hotel is quite far from the city center, but here full of services. I enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel, vary and a lot of choices. My room was assigned on a high floor with a beautiful view to the West Lake. Next time I come to Hanoi, I will continue to book this Hotel.
