Fantastic hotel in the old quarter of Hanoi near the Hoan Kiem Lake. Very friendly service willing to help with everything you need during the day and willing to give advice whenever you need it. Once we arrived very early (before 6am) back from Sapa and even that was no problem. A shower was arranged and the room was ready very early. Recommended when you want a hotel in the old quarter of Hanoi.
Paradise Boutique Hotel was a great choice for us in Hanoi. Located in the Old District within walking distance to most every venue we wanted to visit. The staff is second to none. After one day we were on first name basis. If we needed help with anything they were Johnny on the spot. Our room was big enough for all three of us. The shower was magnificent with superb water pressure. The air con worked perfectly. We slept well every night because it was ultra quiet . Every morning we took advantage of the complimentary breakfast. The food was great and consistent. A great way to start the day. The staff served us well. They served us patiently and answered every question we had giving us there full attention. We love the Paradise Boutique Hotel and for the value it is unbeatable. When we return to Hanoi it is where we will stay.
Paradise Boutique Hotel organised our trip to Halong Bay, Sapa and street food tour. Email responses with Jason Phan, the Sales Manager, were prompt and as such we ended staying with them. They were flexi with our requirements and in total, very good value for the whole package. The location is very Central in old Qtr. we are always the last to be picked up and the first to drop off after the tours. Rooms were simple, adequate and clean. Breakfast is adequate and you can request them to cook eggs and pho. We were pleased that Jason had contacts with students who are currently on holiday and wished to learn English, organised them to show us around the places of interest. Staff from Reception and Breakfast room were very friendly and the breakfast guys told us not to worry that the bus is here to pick us up for the Sapa trip which is early. They said that they have asked them to make another trip to pick us up but we only have five minutes. They also help us to buy SIM card and had our laundry done. Our sincere thanks and congratulations to the whole team at Paradise Boutique Hotel, especially Jason, Linda, Lily, the breakfast staff, bell hops, the night receptionist, who made our trip so seamless, we do not have to worry anything. All in we had a great time and will not hesitate to stay here again.
This hotel was ok. Very basic, clean, a bit dated, nothing special, but we didn't expect too much for the price. However, the "city view" was a tiny window facing a gated space towards the city. The toilet was very small but clean enough as was the rest of the room. We appreciated the wifi. However, the trouble started when we came back from our Halong Bay trip. They were nice enough to hold our luggage until we came back and checked in again, but though the room looked identical, the toilet was broken. It kept clogging and wouldn't flush. Though they were efficient and tried to fix the problem, we requested for another room as my dad didn't want to deal with a broken toilet - because vietnam. They didn't have another room, so they upgraded us for a night to the room with the balcony, with the understanding that we would move to another room the day after. The new room was dark, no bigger and the balcony is filled with aircon ducts giving off heat (for those considering the balcony room). Also, speaking of dated furniture and bedsheets, my dad complained one of the towels had a hole in it, and one of the decorative pillows cut my arm while laying on it because the button was broken. Other things to note was the staff was friendly and breakfast was sufficient but also nothing special. The location is good if you're into the backpacker party street scene. I don't think i would come back because I think there are other hotels in the area that are better value for money.
Super central. The nicest staff every!! Did everything to help us! Printed out our flight tickets, found cheep taxi. Gave us good tips for day trips. Let us put the baggage there for free when we wasn't even sleeping at the hotel. The rooms is good standard for the price.
We used this hotel as our base in Vietnam and we're so pleased we did.The staff are delightful, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast has enough choice to accommodate the myriad of ethnicities who stay here. We made 2 trips away and each time we returned it was like coming home. Good value and highly recommended.
We stayed here for 5 days, left then returned for 2 more nights 3 weeks later. We never return to the same hotel and we have been to 37 countries over 20 years. This hotel is located in Old Town. Lots, and lots of bustle on the street. Streets close at night for extended eating and drinking and live bands but the hotel is quiet. Great location. Good food. Small but clean hotel, BUT the staff make this hotel what it is. Friendly, great attitudes, they get to know you on a first name basis from the minute you enter the front door and the front door bellman takes you luggage. Everyone working at this hotel goes out of their way to help in every what. They even learned it was my birthday without me telling them, and celebrated with me. Breakfast is outstanding, as is the service taking your order for specialty foods, they even refill or obtain items from the buffet if you want. They have a TV on as background on the Discovery channel except one day when the usual girl was off and older man put on a rap music channel that we all found offensive. After it was brought to his attention (I don't think he speaks English very well and didn't understand all the rap words) the Iyoung man on regular breakfast duty (Rooney) changed it immediately) This is a must stay Hotel in Hanoi. We have never had a staff like this one. Truly exceptional.
A very simple, yet comfortable hotel. The staff are all very happy and cheerful. The central location is great, close to all of the shopping and restaurants in the old quarter and on the weekends it is almost on the night market. This is the second time staying here in 3 years and won't be the last.
Positives: cheap, centrally located Negatives: Room smelled of sewage when we woke up in the morning, room had no natural light (could be a positive?), breakfast was below average. For $32 it is hard to expect a lot. I would hope our room smell was an isolated experience, but I would recommend paying $10 more for a different hotel.
Location: Took about 45min taxi from the airport. Hotel charged me 300,000vd for 1 way transfer It is very central in Old Quarter. It is about 5-10min walk to the nearby lake. There are street foods, restaurants, street shops, massages and bars nearby. Hotel: The rooms were clean, the bathroom was clean and included fresh towels, toothbrush, comb, shaving kit, cotton buds, handsoap, shampoo and shower gel dispensers. Plenty of hot water anytime. The TV had HBO Signature, Star Movies, Nat Geo, Cartoons, but no news. There is a minibar and a mini safe. The bed was clean and comfortable. Airconditioner can get very cold. There's free wifi. The hotel uses a key lock system (not key card), so sometimes i forget to lock my room door. Leave the key with the front desk when you leave so they can make up the room. My room didn't come with a view. There's laundry service for USD3/kg, outside street was offering USD1/kg. I didn't do laundry outside, only in hotel so i can't compare. But hotel laundry was clean. The buffet breakfast was decent. You can toast the hot rolls and french loaf to a nice crispy finish. There's lots of fresh juice and coffee. You can order noodle soup and eggs as well. I'm not sure if they have room service, and most of the shops nearby close around 11pm, so stock up on food if you having a late nite in. Staff: The staff are really nice and friendly. They remembered our names which we really appreciated. They also gave us advice on where to go to look for some of our requested items/destinations. Jason & Lily at the front desk were really commendable. Value: I paid about about USD35/night and it is really good value in my opinion.
