This is a very compact, clean hotel with most "modern" facilitates, located within the old quarter of Hanoi. It is located close to the lake and the busy streets of the old section of Hanoi. The adjoining streets have very quaint restaurants which are very traditional and serve good food. The night market is held on the weekends and is a must visit to experience it. The staff are very helpful and courteous. They will assist you and guide you with any issues. The food is nice with a mix of "western" and traditional Vietnam buffets. There is rooftop pool and verandah where you can enjoy a view of the city and the lake. There is a very useful "meeting room" with audio-visual facilities. Very safe and pleasant stay for groups, couples, families.
This entire hotel was musty and we soon discovered the reason in our room as the shower operates with water freely running down between the wall and tub and going who knows where....the beds were uncomfortable and worst was watching dining staff wiped used silverware and put it back on the table without washing!!!! They also could not even give us a key for our room as they ran out of keys???? We had to call down anytime we wantedbto leave and go back in our room I am an avid traveller and it was my worst experience in 20 years Stinky and dirty!
I stayed there for 2 nights during my trip to Hanoi. The location is great, very near to the lake and other shopping streets. Breakfast is in 10th floor which has great view of the city. Room is clean. Good value of money!
It is very near Ta Hien street food. Price is reasonable including breakfast. Nice & clear room. They have computers in the lobby. Very near Hoan Kiem lake. The street name is quite not family with taxi, you should ask them take you to Ta Hien street. There is safety box already in room
We had three nights in Hanoi and with so much choice of hotels were very pleased with our choice. We were within walking distance of heaps of cool places. Beer alley, night markets, lake, rice and noodle alley etc etc. Having come from Hoi An which was more tranquil than the city hype of Hanoi we still Loved the location and our time here. Good sized room and the AC worked a treat. Trick we found with all he hotels we stayed at is ask for a spare room key so the AC can remain on even when you're out and about enjoying the local scenery. The breakfast at the hotel was tremendous with a huge rang of options. Totally enjoyable experience.
This hotel was were our Intrepid tour stayed for 2 nights. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff were amazingly friendly and very accommodating. Close to the Old Quarter which means close to so many restaurants and places to eat. Can hear the traffic noise but wasn't a problem. Recommend this place for somewhere to stay when in Hanoi.
My wife and i recently stayed at the May Deville Old Quarter whilst visiting Hanoi on our honeymoon. The staff were extra friendly and helpful, the rooms were luxurious and clean, the hotel facilities were great. It's in a very good position right the middle of of the old quarter and is a very nice place to stay without breaking the bank!
This hotel is located within the old quarters where you do not need any form of transportation to find eateries (local or western food), beer cafes, shops of varies items like casual wear, pharmacies, spas, etc. The hotel room is decently comfortable though some do not have windows. The morning breakfast spread is fine with cooked items changing daily. The staff are friendly though most do not speak English. This hotel is popular with westerners.
Location, location, location. This hotel is perfectly situated for a vist to Hanoi. Right in the heart of the Old Quarter - gentle walking distance to Hong Kiem Lake, museums, markets and night life. The breakfast is averege good . the rooms is ok but they need changes. some rooms are without any window
This hotel is perfectly situated for a vist to Hanoi. Right in the heart of the Old Quarter - gentle walking distance to Hong Kiem Lake, museums, markets and night life. The hotel itself is a bit tired around the edges but spacious clean rooms and an excellent breakfast buffet. Great value when you consider the cost of other hotels that have a pool. Be warned there is a local rooster but I didnt noitce any loud night life - rooms are nice and quiet. Staff are helpful but I wouldnt look to them being your tour guides. The location is the winner so treat it as a great base as opposed to a holiday in its own right.
