What a lovely hotel ! Good size and very clean room. Prices are not too high (we had good promotion price) and services can be like hotel in Japan. Staff is very service minded and extremely polite (as Japanese) . Well situated near the lake and shopping precinct with great views over street below. Taxi 's available 24/7 and it is easy to take one. It also had a good selection of Vietnamese, Japanese and Western choices for breakfast. May be I will continue to choose Nikko brand for my next trip.

It was my second stay at this hotel and came out as satisfied guest like my earlier experience. Food choices for breakfast were extensive and interesting. It was delish, both Vietnamese Pho and Japanese style breakfast. We were quite impressed with a staff name Ms. Tathy when she tried to care us even the breakfast was very crowded. I really enjoy my staying here. At this time my room type booked was full, so I got upgraded at 16th floor with very beautiful view to the lake and Hanoi train station. My stay at Nikko hanoi is always a pleasure.

The staff are friendly, especial the service is great and very professional. Peaceful beautiful location nearly the lake which is well needed after being in the busy center of Hanoi. The room, although being a standard one (deluxe), is spacious as well as the bathroom. This hotel is near downtown. They showed me a lot of hot spots to visit. Only spent one night there, but definitely will stay there again if I go to Hanoi for business trip. There are also some nice cheap street vendors right around the corner from hotel, we ate there numerous times and felt fine. I had no issues, and the hotel was great. As one of the Nikko properties, it keeps Nikko's Japanese hospitality.

The hotel seems to surpass 3 stars and should be 4 stars but seems to be a bit too dim along the hall way and room for comfort. The service is good I admit. What left a strong impression is its strong Japanese influenced breakfast spread , soba , Katsu curry ???. My sleep was not uncomfortable for reasons I do not want to tell. Just will not go back again except for a memorable Vietnamese souvenir shop that Sells the best local made cakes for gift.

We stayed three days. As some other Japanese says here, it is like Japanese style hospitality. It was not same as Nikko hotel in Japan but it is enough as standard. We could enjoyed and relaxed. It is a quite far from centre of city which is located in front of amusment place. You can easily use Taxi to centre of city but we tried to enjoy the walking around city. There were many bikes and a little bit risk but you could. We can buy any food or daily commodity at the sotre diagonal from hotel. Be a little bit careful when crossing the road. We enjoyed the breakfast too. Free to try to eat pho as well as omlets and Japanse food. We drunk a couple of wine at Lundge on 16th floor with nice view. And we tried to tradional massage in the hotel, 79000VOD per hour. They were so nice. One thing we wanted to eat typical vietnam food at restaurnat. Even we can use some room service but thre are not many vietnam food.

This is truly a great hotel. Well done to all public facing staff. Yes 5* for their: friendly staff, excellent food, customer engagement, cleanliness, room spaciousness and services available. For the more epicurean and discerning customer they may pick some fault that they may not tolerate or expect with 5* hotels in say: London, Paris or Vienna. Certainly in terms of value it is very, very comparable for what you get in Europe. But....some improvements could be made. We stayed for one two night stay before a trip to Ha Long and an one night stay after our sea excursion. On both occasions (in different rooms) we had (and this is very English) a faulty kettle. In our first excellent room I had to jiggle the cord to get our first morning cuppa and in the second room we had the kettle's lid fall off and I had to hold the lead to heat the water. One thing customers might not like is the fact it is outside the Old and French quarters. However the local taxi service is good value and you can reach the main attractions for a few thousand dong. So this isn't a problem for us. However the main drawback is the noise. The traffic gets going very early in the morning in Hanoi (5am) so the very irritating sounds of horns and traffic permeate the single glazing of the hotel's outer facing rooms. Additionally the train seems to be enthusiastic in its early morning run into Hanoi. The line is over the road. Ear plugs are advisable for those who sleep light. But well worth the price.

everything is highest quality at this hotel. the staff is very friendly. the breakfast is excellent; the room details are very fine including the high technology toilets; the location is not ideal as is a twenty minute walk to the center but this does not detract from the fineness of the hotel itself. thank you for such a fine stay

Very nice but not worth the ridiculous price. Moved after a few days to the MERACUS 2 hotel which was less than half the price and the breakfast so much better to name but one thing. It's location is poor too as you can't walk anywhere from there. Very poor choice.

i checked in for 5 days/4 nights during my Hanoi and Halong trip. the service is great and the food is delicious. the room is spacious and comfortable. after first night stay, our big luggage were kept for a night at hotel since we begun our halong cruise trip for sunset/sunrise viewing. we got back to hotel for additional 3 days stay, after the happy cruising. i would say, we shall get back to Hotel Nikko for our next trip to Hanoi.

I've been staying in the Nikko in Hanoi for 3 years. Hotel is super clean and a spotless room makes it a very comfortable place. Go to Hoan Kiem lake will take about 5 - 10 minutes by taxi. Service was very good and attentive. My room was spacious and inviting. The staff was quite friendly. They are fast, friendly and helpful, so I think that if you travel for relaxation like me, you should choose Nikko to be the place to have a rest after each day of visiting and exploring the beautiful city. Highly recommended!
