Nice staff. Good location. The room was a bit old. The floor in the toilet was slippery, especially when I was wearing the slippers provided. Generally I like the hotel. I like the swimming pool best.
If you want to relax poolside this is a good hotel for it. Services and staff are awesome. However the room and facilities needs some attention and updates. Decor are out dated, walls have cracks, and vents are dirty. Back in 1998 this would have been a posh spot to rest in this chaotic city. Few amenities are close by (food market, vihnmart, KFC), if you are looking for authentic street food tour, I would choose a spot in the old quarter, if you want to sunbath by the poolside, this may be a better option. Pros: awesome staff, decent Japanese bakery, good witless internet (3 devices per room adult guest). Japanese washlet (bidet) Cons: old and dated decor, stained carpet. A little noisy at nite, due to the circus across the street. For my next visit, I would stay somewhere in the old quarter, in the midst of hustle and bustle of this vibrant city.
Not to large a hotel, had everything that my wife and I needed for a surprising stay in an under publicized city. The title pretty much says it. The hotel is close to the circus and a huge park. From the minute we walked in the door, we didn't have to worry about a thing. The hotel is very convenient to places of interest. Clean, well situated, comfortable bed. The hotel is nice and the room was spacious and quite. The hotel is also greatly located in Hanoi city, with nearby supermarket, banks and other small local shop.
A Japanese hotel with very good location. We received a nice welcome from the staff as we checked in on the executive floors. Extremely gracious and attentive staff. Location of hotel is near convenience stores and local restaurants. Fabulous time at this most elegant professionally hotel. Their concierge recommended a knowledgeable tour guide who introduced me to Hanoi's sites, sounds and shopping spots. The staff at Hanoi Nikko Hotel are some of the best we've ever experienced. The buffet dinner and breakfast are the best buffet I had experienced in Vietnam. This was also a reasonable hotel.
Definitely a 5 star hotel! The suite was great, big and spacious! The only drawback that I could discover was that the bed was way to hard for me! Some people prefer a a firm mattress but not me! That was the only complaint I had concerning the room. Ic you are looking for a great sleep and softer mattress go to the Sofitel!!!
Stayed here for three nights whilst on a tour of Vietnam. The staff is so helpful and friendly, it seem could not be better. The hotel is very convenient to places of interest. The hotel is very special with one side adjacent to the bustling city, with cars jostling each other, and one side adjacent to the lake and park. The hotel was also close to the train station and historic old quarter was to be reached on foot. My room was excellent, clean and comfortably beds, good views and great location. This hotel has excellent meeting rooms and accompanying facilities. Rooms, facilities, breakfast, WiFi, A/C, cleanliness, service, all excellent. Vietnam coffee was also very good, and we bought roasted, grinned coffee to our home to enjoy slowly. Overall, I have a great stay here.
Stayed in a few hotels in Halong, Hanoi, & Hoi An, clearly this was head and shoulders above the rest. The rooms were large, clean, and very comfortable, breakfast had a good variety of food. Easy walking distance to many attractions, went on a tour but did some walking after just the two of us. Great way to get around and explore the sites and sounds of Hanoi, walked back from the open market nice leisurely walk. Good service, where the staff was always smiling they really do know how to treat their guest. In this day and age customers have a choice on where they want to stay, and I want to stay at the Hotel Nikko Hanoi again. Just something different about this hotel, they have very well trained staff. Wish other hotels in Vietnam could take some lessons home from this hotel.
It was a wonderful experience with exceptional service. The room was great, the airport transfer was smooth, the breakfast was delicious, the bar had great drinks, and the location was fantastic. Breakfast buffet was OK, better than most. Wifi is free and works fine, and the morning breakfast buffet is great. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of Eastern, Japanese and Western choice. The Vietnamese noodle in soup was excellent. Glad we booked this hotel.
Clean and comfortable hotel. Highly recommended! This is a clean and no frills hotel good for business travelers. The location is good and breakfast spread is decent. The pricing was in-line with the offering!
Staff spoke English very well, polite, professional and helpful. This is an amazing hotel where the service is personalized. It was clean and comfortable although it did lack charm and is really a business hotel. Facility, amenity good, staff is service and buffet breakfast are all good. The Japanese restaurant in the hotel is superb, beside buffet has large selection of western, Vietnamese and Japanese food. Highly recommended to any visitors.
