This hotel is in a great position and has great decor and amenities but the best thing about it is the staff. They couldn't have looked after us better when our cruise to Ha Long bay was cancelled, nothing was too much trouble and they made us feel very special on our honeymoon. We can't thank you all enough!

The location right next to the Opera House and just a short walk from the emblematic and famous Hoan Kiem Lake is amongst the very best in the city. The look and feel of the property is very appealing with a very shabby chic design concept. I though the service throughout was superb, a really warm and friendly welcome from Cuong and My set the tone for a very enjoyable series of interactions with all of the staff. The property could do with a bit of a "nip and tuck" and the owners probably need to spend a bit more money on some of the facilities which seem a bit tired now (eg the AC wasn't working so well in the lobby area which is not great in Hanoi in August). But otherwise I am coming back to Hanoi again in October and will certainly be booking again.

The first time we were there 2017. We’ve got big impression with the decoration and atm in the hotel. Big room, full necessary equipments, comfortable bathroom, and really good service. We’ll be there one day soon.

I have stayed here many times and this is the first time to write a review. This is great hotel. Prime location, right at the heart and center of tourism in Hanoi! Nice hotel, cozy room. Especially, EXCELLENT service. Highly recommended!

They say... "it isn't what life throws at you that matters so much as to how you react to each matter"....and so it was at The Grand Dame that is the Hotel L'Opera in Hanoi. Whether it was divine, negative serendipity or just plain bad luck, things didn't go great for me at this beautiful property. There were heating/cooling issues - with the A/C 'locked' in a full blown freeze out mode, an employee that entered my room unannounced, there were room service mix ups, laundry errors, television glitches and even hot water (or lack thereof) struggles for a couple of the mornings while I stayed here. It was at times frustrating to not have an amazing, excellent, memorable stay during my week here in February of this year, but the truth is that I can't say a bad thing about this property thanks to the superb professionalism of the Executive Assistant Manager - Mr. Adrien Michel Marie. One day Sir, you will rule the Hotel world - in fact you are well on your way now. Your accessibility, knowledge of the industry and passion to exceed expectations is duly noted and acknowledged. When things didn't go as planned, you activated your guest recovery abilities, fixed things in a timely manner and in doing so, made a real impression on me/us. Impressive breakfast, myriad options - served downstairs just off of the lobby too. Thank you. Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel with lovely staff. Great food - very accomodating with gluten free (celiac) once informed. Couldn’t be more helpful. Happy hour was great. We had a pedicure each which we didn’t enjoy. There was a lot of what seemed like bickering between staff (we have no idea what was being said however the tone felt a little hostile) this made atmosphere not pleasant. The pool lets this hotel down a bit. It’s indoors and small with limited areas for relaxing. Overall a good place to stay for experiencing the vibe of Hanoi!

I stayed 3 nights at this hotel with my daughter last week. Everything about the hotel exceeded all of my expectations. The service and the facilities were excellent. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff was superb, especially Dat (James) who arranged a car for us to Ninh Binh when Grab failed us. I had originally intended to stay at the Metropole, but I am glad I stayed here since I really liked the Opera theme and the rooftop pool.

This hotel is located close to the Opera House, major shopping stores, restaurants and other tourist destination. Service at the front desk was friendly and efficient. The rooms were tastefully decorated, clean, spacious and very comfortable. The restaurant offers a selection of both local and western cuisine. There are a number of bars in the hotel, all tastefully decorated, were you can enjoy a quite drink, relax and fell at home. Dat the Guest Relations Officer was friendly and very efficient. He assisted me in locating items I wanted to purchase and offered clear and concise directions. All staff at this hotel are a credit to the Accor Group.

I spent few days for business, ideal location, downtown, historical neighbourhood, a lot more f café and bars around. Close to the night market. Service and staff, excellent. Rooms ok , decoration like opera !

pro: welcome drink and pastry, location is perfect! very near the Lake con: bed is too high. the bedroom is grand, but not too functional.. the bathroom huge but there are additional 2 rooms for toilet and bath.. I feel that design can be improved.. also, no overlooking sight from window.
