Wonderful boutique Hotel. Great location, only 2 blocks from the lake. Rooms were spacious and quiet. Staff is to be commended. They were personal and attentive to every detail. When we arrived, we were treated to welcome drinks as we checked in, we were escorted to our rooms, informed of all the amenities and received a complimentary fruit baskets. We stayed 3 days, went for an overnight excursion to Halong Bay, and returned for a night. They stored our extra luggage for a night (no charge) and had the luggage waiting in our room upon check in. They surprised us by decorating our room with balloons, rose petals and a birthday cake. The dining room staff was attentive and provided great service. The complimentary daily breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious. Plan to return and stay again.
I spent 2 nights in this hotel. The rooms are very clean with a good équipement (DVD, laptop !). I tried a massage and it was perfect. Before taking my plane I could have a shower in a room. And they invited me to their restaurant "Le Gourmet" at the last floor. It was a very good food. The staff in the hotel and in the restaurant is very nice. Julien.
My wife and I have travelled together for more years than we probably care to remember and the experience we have had in this hotel would have to rate as the best ever. All the usual factors; rooms, value, dining, location, cleanliness, etc are of a very high standard, but it is the people who work here who really make this an overwhelmingly wonderful experience. We stayed in the La Siesta Diamond for about 3 weeks, on and off, with trips in and out of Hanoi and Vietnam, and it really did feel like we were 'coming home' when we returned each time. Nothing was too much trouble; from organising excursions, taxis, airport pickups and hotel bookings, to catering for particular diets or organising an 'evacuation' from SaPa when illness overtook me for this highly capable no fuss group. When we next return to Hanoi this is certainly where we will stay and I recommend the La Siesta to all.
in a perfect position in the old quarter this hotel is filled with helpful staff. we only stayed here 1 night, but in it's sister hotel also in hanoi and the same fgor both, they looked after our luggage when we were off in Sapa, and even moved them between their hotels (as was staying in a diff hotel on our return. if your looking for a luxurious hotel in central hanoi this is a must.
We booked this hotel last minute due to an unexpected change in plans and it turned our holiday around completely. From the moment we arrived we were treated as valued guests. The staff were excellent, professional and very friendly. The hotel is in a great location, very close to the Lake and plenty of great dining options close by. We were upgraded to an executive suite room which was beautifully appointed and had a great street view. The beds are huge and have mattress toppers which is essential for Westerners not accustomed to firm beds. Rooms are very quiet. Their breakfast was one of the best I have ever had with a good variety of both Western and Asian foods. We also dined in the restaurant for a couple of other meals and the food was exceptional quality and well priced. Restaurant also has great views of the city. I also tried the Spa here. The treaments were excellent and the masseuse was very attentive. They also offer great discounts for Happy Hour each day. You do need to book in advance as they are very popular. We could not have asked for more. We ended up booking with 2 of their sister hotels for the rest of our stay. Special thanks to Janine Lee who made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived.
My husband and I stayed there for 4 days. As soon as you walk into the hotel to check in, you feel you are welcomed as a valued guest. Everything from breakfast, room amenity, very helpful and friendly staff, to the value, it was great and we had such a wonderful and memorable experience at the hotel. Location is very convenient - close to Hoan Kiem Lake and many shops. Restaurant on 12F for dinner was very nice. When I have another chance to visit Hanoi, I will make reservation at La Siesta Diamond Hotel.
This is the best hotel I have ever stayed. We stayed 14 days, and from the moment we walked in everyone knew our names. I cannot say enough about the hotel and its employees. Everyone was so attentative, you could ask for anything and by the time you got back upstairs there would be someone at your door. The breakfast is included and it is by far the best breakfast i have ever had. It changes everyday, it is fresh, gourmet, and colorful. They also have a selection of fresh juices, homemade yogurt, and pudding. I have really enjoyed the staff and Hana and Sarah have been especially kind, informative, and helpful. I cannot say enough about what an amazing experience staying at this hotel has been.
Wow! What a great experience... This is what hospitality is all about. The entire staff really understands how to make guests feel welcome. The rooms are clean, modern and comfortable. The food service (breakfast) was spot on and the location was close walking distance to everything we wanted to see. We will certainly stay here on our next trip to Vietnam.
Thanks for making us feel welcomed in Hanoi. All the staff are excellent!! Special thanks to Janice for offering to pack some snacks for the kids due to the long trip to Halong Bay. Special thanks to Ruby for recomending all the nice food and offering to help us order the famous Banh Mi 25 and have it delivered to our room!! Thanks to Hana for helping us to book for circus. We are a family with young children but the staff accomodated us and made us feel welcomed.
My husband and I recently stayed at La Siesta Diamond Hotel in Hanoi and we were very impressed. The hotel is in the Old Quarter and is walkable to many sites, restaurants, bars, etc. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. Breakfast is served on the top floor with great views. The buffet is lovely with a wide array of well-prepared food and a la carte items. The service is top-notch. Everyone is very kind and thoughtful. We stayed for two nights, then to Halong Bay for two nights, and then back to the hotel. When the hotel staff found out that we don’t eat pork they said they would prepare vegetarian spring rolls for breakfast when we were back from Halong Bay and they were there! All of the staff was excellent. Janine and Hana are two standouts. They were very personable, helpful, and gave great suggestions. Thank you, Janine and Hana! I hope we can visit Hanoi again. If so, I would definitely stay at to his hotel!
