We booked our stay here based on the positive reviews and the good location of the hotel and were certainly very pleased we did. The hotel itself is great. Small, boutique style with great quality throughout and it was certainly an oasis away from the noise and hustle of Hanoi. But it was the staff that really made this place so outstanding. Before our arrival they were helpful with tour recommendations and confirmations. Once we got there the service was simply awesome. Highly personalised, extremely helpful and genuinely caring. We were constantly greeted by name, asked how our tours went, reminded about what we had organised for the next day etc. Nothing was too much trouble and I'd like to thank the staff for their superior service, especially Janine and Hana. Whilst in Hanoi we organised a Street Food tour and a day trip to Halong Bay via the hotel. Both were great experiences. The Street Food tour took us to places we wouldn't have found and let us try food we otherwise wouldn't have tried and was very informative. The Halong Bay day tour was a long day, with a big road trip to get there and back, but the boat tour made it all worthwhile. Our tour guide was great and we felt very spoilt on the boat trip. We ate in the hotel restaurant and it was very good. We also enjoyed a few excellent cocktails in the bar on the ground floor. We think that Andrew makes the best cocktails in Hanoi! There is no doubt that this is now our must stay destination in Hanoi.

How incredibly lucky we were to stay in this hotel (well - not necessarily lucky as we had read all the stellar reviews!). I can only echo other reviews in my compliments. The customer service was indeed amazing in every way possible. The breakfasts were fantastic (and the same restaurant serves dinner and guests get a discount). Room was perfect (I would definitely get a suite if you can afford it - not that much more expensive and definitely worth it).

Will recc this hotel for a weekend short stay at Hanoi as they provide such excellent service and wonderful stay. Their cocktails, food, friendliness makes me feel like royalty. The location is nearby the night market and water puppet theatre. Small gestures makes my day such as they wrote a hand written post card. ☺️

We stayed here for 2 nights and absolutely loved it! Everything about the hotel was perfect! The location, the rooms and the staff were all exceptional! The customer service was like none other and they went above and beyond to help! After experiencing some dramas with our halong bay tour, due to weather, Alex helped us sort everything out and rebooked it all for us!

Beautiful room, customer service is second to none. All staff are friendly, welcoming and genuine in making your stay the best ever. The breakfast service was five star. Well done to the whole team and thank you for a great stay.

What a wonderful hotel. We have never before received such amazing customer service. All the staff are amazing and go above and beyond to make your stay special. We had a nice room upgrade, the room had all amenities you could want and was super clean with a nice city views. The breakfast was superb with a wide selection of western to eastern foods. Hana was so kind and made sure everything was 1st class. We also had a couple of cocktails and were very impressed. We are used to Asian cocktails being weak but the ones they services in their cost but modern bar were lovely and hand crafted. I recommend the Roaster, see below. The bar has a lovely atmosphere where you can watch the busy world of Hanoi go by. I totally recommend this hotel, hope to go back and only wish we had of stayed longer. Thanks you La Siesta Diamond staff for making our stay memorable. You guys are the best.

Amazing, amazing, amazing! In addition to clean rooms, comfy beds, varied breakfast, central location and excellent massages at the spa (great for those who enjoy firm pressure with good technique),  I can honestly say, and without exaggeration, I have not come across such excellent customer service as that offered by Hanoi La Siesta Diamond. This hotel does not just offer awesome accommodation, but packages for Sapa and Bai Tu Long Bay that were value for money and so well co-ordinated that it completely exceeded our expectations - whole heartedly recommended!! I know I'm starting to sound like I may have been paid by the hotel to write this review so let me explain the reasons behind the above. My family and I booked for one night at Hanoi La Siesta Diamond, and I enquired about any possible packages for Sapa and Bai Tu Long Bay (the more untouched part of Halong Bay). Sapa (9 hours overnight from the station) and Bai Tu Long Bay (3.5 hours by car/bus) are both very far from Hanoi and I was reluctant to face organising all the finicky legs of the journey but also wanted to avoid the standard tourist package with 20 other people, and get the best possible experience as if I had individually booked everything. After a few days of correspondence (mainly me asking a million questions and the team patiently answering), I was able to clarify exactly what we were after and the team was able to create a customised package for my family for a good price. It included private transfers in a luxury van with wifi to the bay and back (was excellent as we barely felt the long commute), deluxe cabins on an excellent overnight cruise boat that included activities like kayaking and cave exploring with all tasty meals included (Dragon Legend 2 - read the reviews!), and a 4 night Sapa trip including a one night home stay and private tour guide from the local village as well as massages for everyone, daily breakfast and airport transfers. Everything  was clean and luxurious (except, of course, the home stay which was local), and it was a treat knowing we could leave our bulky luggage at the hotel and not worry about taxi scammers while they whisked us away to each location. Stand out customer service points: 1.   On the last day, the overnight train was delayed due to landslides and we were worried we were going to miss our connecting flight out of Hanoi. Hanoi La Siesta was already all over this and had arranged complementary takeaway breakfast for everyone and a bellboy was waiting for us with our luggage at the station! On top of this, they already checked and knew that the train was not going all the way to Hanoi due to issues, and were waiting for us at the correct station.  2. The hotel called our tour guide in Sapa a couple of times to check we were happy with everything and to let us know the return train was delayed.  3. There was one issue with the Sapa trip outside of the hotel's control that we raised for feedback and they were quick to respond, and resolve the issue in a timely manner. 4. Attentive and quick customer service at the hotel including welcome mocktail and snacks (not unusual for a good hotel but thought I'd mention it as well as it was good). I cannot recommend this hotel enough and definitely think those wanting to book  Sapa and Bai Tu Long Bay will be impressed with what this hotel can whip up based on what experiences are sought - give them a try! Again, the customer service was excellent from start to finish.

We stayed at the hotel 12/10/17 , what a wonderful hotel .The hotel is a little Boutique hotel with service parallel to more expensive hotels. The location was excellent , and the service is is fantastic , the staff could not do enough for us, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious and a huge range to choose from. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi. A 5 star rating from me. Thanks Alex for your fine service.

Been to Hanoi a few times and stayed in different hotels in the Old Quarter but this is the first time in La siesta Diamond and am so glad we made the right decision. The super friendly staff welcomed us with cold towels,a superb coconut based cocktail and some tasty preserved plums to nibble.Check in was swift and efficient by Ms Janine who gave us a map of the old quarter and familiarised us on all the interesting places to see.Rooms were clean, really comfortable pillows, bed, quiet A/C,clean towels, safe, iron board, hair dryer and most interestingly a laptop for your use. That evening we reserved a place for Dinner at Gourmet Corner restaurant on their top floor that was highly recommended. The food and service were excellent and you get an excellent view of the red river and surroundings.Food prices were also reasonable and you get a further discount as a guest of the hotel.Amazingly you have your daily breakfast at the same restaurant. The breakfast options are vast and fresh and you will certainly want to spend a little more time there. The location is very central,a few steps from Hoan Kiem lake,Thang Long water puppet theatre, night market on the weekends when the roads are closed and Hang Gai road the main shopping strip with lots of famous restaurants. The main attracting factor of the hotel is their staff.I have never seen a group of young people so friendly, helpful, with excellent communicating skills and no problems that they can't handle. Two names stand out...Ms Janine and Ms Hana Ngo even though the rest of them were all just as good. They were kind enough to extend our stay in one executive room until 3pm and gave us a packet of preserved plums as a parting gift. This is a true 5 star service totally unexpected. Thanks for making our stay a great one and keep up the splendid work.Wishing you all the best.

We stayed in this beautiful boutique hotel for 6 nights and it was a fantastic experience. The hotel is brilliant but it's the staff that really put the icing on the cake. Thank you to Alex and his wonderful team for making our stay truly pleasurable. We felt like we were saying goodbye to old friends by the time we left!
