My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. Service was excellent all through. The check in is smooth and they offer you a welcome drink and some snacks while you wait. They gave us a map which also marks the key locations to visit, which was very useful during our stay. Hana also offered me a complimentary one hour spa voucher - which was such a wonderful surprise and I really enjoyed the service too!! The room is very comfortable and clean. Bathroom too. Breakfast options are good too and quite filling. We enjoyed our stay here!

Hotel is in a perfect location near the lake, shopping and the market. The staff was very friendly and accomodating – going out of their way to make sure we were happy. The restaurant on the top floor has fantastic views of the city and wonderful food.

We were originally booked in to their sister hotel but they called us and said we were to be upgraded to the Siesta Diamond for a better room option. I am not sure why this was but I guess part of their service element to retain 5 star status on Tripadvisor. You certainly can’t fault their service it’s super slick and very professional. We were given an executive suite which was a far cry from my original booking of a room with no windows. The room was very comfortable and reasonably quiet given we are in the middle of all the madness of the old city. Breakfast was very nice sice served on the top floor of the hotel. You can’t say you get fabulous views but you do see the sites which surround you. All in all a very nice hotel with superb service and an excellent location to explore the old city.

Into the third day of our week stay and cannot fault this lovely hotel. Very comfortable room with a wonderful bed. Great location and friendly and helpful staff. Nice cosy bar downstairs and very good food upstairs.

This is a garden in the middle of a busy city. The hotel is beautiful with two good restaurants and a great breakfast. The thing that stands out for us is the staff. We loved these friendly people who take the time to make a connection with their guests. Of the many hotels we have stayed at in the world the two La Siesta hotels we have stayed at in Vietnam are among our very favourites. I can't recommend it highly enough.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 3 days in April 2016, when it was still named 'Hanoi Elegance Diamond Hotel' (not 2017 as I was forced to indicate because the date selection does not go beyond a year). We chose this hotel because it was well-reviewed in Lonely Planet and in all other booking sites we visited. We got ourselves a junior suite. The room was spacious and was always kept clean daily. This hotel's customer service is superb. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Upon check-in, they provided us with a map of Hanoi with an extensive and categorized list of places to visit with their locations indicated on the map. It made our sightseeing so much easier. We enjoyed our breakfasts here because of the generous food selection and good view of the city. On our anniversary, after a long day at Halong Bay, we came back to find a sweet surprise in our room (see photos). This hotel goes to great lengths to make the experience personal and special. Anyone who wishes to enjoy a vacation in Hanoi should stay here. The experience is wonderful!

We stayed here for 3 nights in total with one night off in the middle to go to Halong Bay. They were nice enough to put our luggage in storage while we were away. When we came back our luggage was waiting for us in the new room. They payed attention to every detailed we provided and used that to provide an excellent service. I highly recommend this place.

I chose this hotel from the other La Siesta hotels for its proximity to Thang Long Water Puppet Show, Hoa Kiem Lake and other points of interests which are all within walking distance. The location and hotel team made our Hanoi stay a seamless, most relaxing and happy one. They made our stay felt like being home away from home. Upon our arrival we were greeted warmly, offered warm towels and delicious welcome drink & snack. The property is meticulously clean and comfortable, a handwritten welcome note was thoughtfully placed in our room next to a plateful of fruits. The team also assisted us in checking and making various reservation to venues of interest. Their rooftop restaurant is excellent. The breakfast spread is amazing! Everything was freshly made and delicious! From the freshly baked breads, assorted freshly squeezed fruit juices, served in portion sized bottles, Japanese food, Western breakfast as well as a menu for made to order Pho. Ready made local food was presented attractively for guests to try. The menu changes slightly each day which enabled us to try new things yet was also able to return to our favorites. Each morning, Janine Lee the Guest Relation Supervisor, is at the roof top restaurant, making sure everyone feel welcome and comfortable with her warm yet professional demeanor. She was key in making sure the guests' needs were noticed and met. I was not feeling well, she made sure that I have a pot of hot ginger lemon grass tea each morning. She also noticed that room-wise we might enjoy to spread out a little since our nephew decided to join our trip at the last minute. She informed us of a family suite that so happened became available. It was a just the right solution at the right time! Thank you Janine, you're a star in the world of customer service. La Siesta is very lucky to have you in their team! Forget about staying in impersonal big brand hotel chains, La Siesta Diamond Hotel is a highly recommendable personable place for your Hanoi stay!

We started our 2 1/2 week journey through Vietnam and Cambodia in Hanoi @ La Siesta Diamond. What a great beginning! This hotel is run by a marvelous staff who work incredibly hard to ensure your stay is perfect in every way and it was! All of the team from the minute you check in takes such wonderful care of each and every guest. Janine was the Supervisor in charge while we were there and she is a marvel to watch. She is like Superwoman and seems to be everywhere from check in to check out, and overseeing the dining room in the morning. She is warm, helpful, has such grace, and is a model of efficiency and hospitality. Other hotels should watch how she does it and train their staff accordingly. All of the La Siesta staff is so well trained in hospitality it makes it such a pleasure to stay at this property. The gentleman who works with her in the evening is also delightful and so very efficient. So sorry I cannot remember his name. The hotel is located in the frenzy of the Old Quarter. Hanoi is very crowded, very dirty, the air is polluted, traffic is ridiculous, and garbage is all about. Prepare yourself for this onslaught of humanity. La Siesta is an oasis in the craziness! Other things we liked: they kept our luggage safely while traveling to Bai Tu Long Bay for 2 nites, they checked us in for our departing flight and even printed our boarding passes. Laundry was done perfectly for an amazing price. Breakfast was just incredible. They had every kind of food imaginable for breakfast so no matter what country you are from you found something delicious. Loved the specially squeezed fresh juices and the homemade yogurts. Our room on the 9th floor was spacious, had a balcony and large windows overlooking the city below. It was not "designer decorated" but it was still very nice and for the price an incredible value. Just don't expect the rooms to look like you are at The Ritz. You are paying 1/4 of the price of a top luxury hotel and you are getting better service and food here than in most top luxe hotels we have visited world wide. Everyone seemed to know our name and called us by name throughout our stay even though we had not even met all of them. How do they do it? Very impressive! All in all a top pick for Hanoi , we will tell our friends and we would return!

My girlfriend and I stayed here every time we passed through Hanoi as we travelled around Vietnam after having it highly recommended to us by another friend and it was like a home away from home. They are so so so friendly and diligent in ensuring a fantastic stay. Rooms are lovely, breakfast buffet is great and the location is perfect. Couldn’t ask for better and wouldn’t even consider staying somewhere else when going through Hanoi.
