A great location in a quiet part of the old quarter but a few minutes walk brings you to the Literature of temple, Pillar pagoda, Quan Thanh pagoda and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum… hustle and bustle of this crazy part of the city. For a little more peaceful walk, go around the west lake in the evening and watch people dancing or just enjoying the quiet evening. The staff at the hotel were wonderful, they were so helpful, friendly and caring. The hotel is more attractive with some beautiful painting at Lobby. And one more thing I recommend: If you have the chance, visit the Fine Art Museum about 10 minutes walk from the hotel. It is a magical experience.
I loved my experience here at Hanoi Emotion Hotel. It began with quick contact from the staff as soon as I booked the stay. The communicate started with recommendations as to how to get to the place and what to do. A few emails to confirm some things and I felt completely at ease that I did not have to worry about a thing as soon as I was out of the airport. I was not disappointed. Easy pick up from the airport and about a 30-45 minute drive (doesn't feel that long). I loved being in the middle of all the action. I just had to step out, and I was where I wanted to be. Prior to my arrival, I signed up for some offerings. A trip to Ha Long Bay and a Food Tour in Hanoi. Both were lovely. Staff ensured that I did not make the mistake (that I almost did) of settling for a day trip in Ha Long Bay - It would have been dreadful and tiring. Instead they found a great deal with a lovely cruise boat. The food tour that I have recommended to anyone I have met was an absolute delight - thank you, KEVIN!!! You will discover places that you would not know existed even if you walked 5 feet past. The staff made the stay extremely pleasurable. Everyone was so sweet and helpful. I was sad to leave. I would not hesitate to recommend the place.
We were given the key and the room was not made up. It ended up with an argument because the beds were not changed (!!!!) and the floor not wiped and so on ... The place could be much cleaner. The view is terrible ... Service at the restaurant is really poor. Whatever you might ask nobody understands English or any other language than Vietnamese. The staff is very young and untrained. Tables are dirty ... The quality of food is poor, tea and coffee are not hot. Set dinner was the worst in a fortnight: quantity and quality can greatly improve.
We booked a 7 day tour with this hotel that started with them picking us up at the hotel and arranging for us to go to both Sa pa and Halong Bay within the week. We stayed one night at the hotel and it was excellent. We then were taken right to our tour the next day to Halong Bay. We were able to leave our extra luggage with the hotel. Then we were given another room when we returned to freshen up and relax before our night train to Sa pa. We were also provided dinner in our room (since we were a bit tired at this point) When we arrived in Sa pa, everything was again taken care of and went off perfectly. All of our tour guides were excellent, the room was great, and the food was excellent. Would definitely use this hotel again.
Thank you for making me feel welcome. Nice room and very friendly team, willing to help, very kind. Breakfast was nice - the value for money makes total sense and made my 48h visa stay enjoyable, I would be happy to come back. Cheers to the team !!!!!!!!
Good: friendly staff, nice entrance, food from the restaurant can be ordered from bed and if you want something beside from the menu the try to fulfill everything an it was cookt within 15min. OK: price for the menus is maybe little bit high for hanoi. The design of the room is also nice. Not so good: slow wifi (had a much better wifi even in sapa). I am ill so I really would appreciate a faster wifi. Room is a little bit dirty and as typical in Vietnam it seams that the guy how installed all the equipment in this room was drunk or born with "two left hands" ;).
I am travelling quite often to Hanoi and finally, after changing several hotels, found Emotion hotel like the definitely best choice in view of price/service comparison. But the most impression I have got is from atitude of staff there, not only receptions but all the staff you might meet in the hotel. That place I really feel like sincerely welcomed guest. I have experience from some more expensive 4-5 star hotels but the personal attitude not like that there mostly...not talking about if you give them high tip, then of course everybody smile at you...but that not the case of Emotion hotel, luckily. The location is also not bad, close to city center, and in quite small street beside main street, so that no much noisy. Near by can find small shops to buy everything you need for daily use and refreshment. And if you need any advice concerning travelling or sightseeing, so easy to ask hotel staff and you always get best possible advice, not trying to make as much money as possible of you like in some other hotels...Rooms are nice decorated, clean and breakfets buffei quite sufficient to supply everybody taste, no matter if asian or western style preffered. I can warmly recommend! Josef (Czech Rep.)
The hotel was very nice and had a nice charm about it. The staff here where wonderful and the breakfast was very nice The rooms where a bit small but nice the only problem was the location was to far from anything And walking out of the hotel u find a quiet back street. Not very appealing.
my friend introduced this hotel for me, i stayed for 4nights, their reception provided very good service, there were some fruit provided in room every day, clean and good value for money. my viet friend can not accompany with me every day, i really need some good advice for travelling Hanoi. the staff Kevin helped a lot when i am confused about this, he showed me very details on map regarding the deliciouse food and famous places. we talked a lot about Viet and AU, good time to practice English, hope to meet him in Australia
Outstanding experience and good value for money. Located by the Old Quarter of Hanoi, near a lot of restaurants, shops and bars, as well as connection to the rest of the center city. Wifi is free and good, and each room has a handy device that gives you free access wifi as you move around the public area of hotel. Highly recommend this hotel.
