The advertised rooms are a little jaded, but gratis upgrades to the new building next door are splendid, especially the family room where I ended up. The rooms are not soundproofed, some guests are overly noisy, and central curtainless windows look out into an aircon shaft that allows other rooms lights to shine on you in bed at night/wake you up. The beds are large and firm. The showers combine both directional hose and large vertical rose providing ample pressure and plenty of hot water. A good range of shower/body products and fluffy towels add to the positive experience. The safe is easy to use and functional. The massage services are professional and effective. Beverage making facilities and complimentary water are provided as well as a fridge full of chargeable goodies. The hotel is very clean, all staff are very polite, kind, helpful and professional. The breakfast buffet offers a great range of food covering all requirements, both local and international. The restaurant has a nice aspect and views the busy local street. The location is central and is positioned in the centre of a 6km figure 8 walk covering the city sights.
We arrived late with a pre booked room in this hotel. They told us that we could not stay in that hotel because they didnt have rooms available. So they told us that they had another hotel of the same level just 20 meters. We went there (after paying) and it was a really old one with a very dirty bathroom. So, not a recomendable hotel because we also talked with some other guests with some other problems. As we refused, we canceled the payment
this is a fun vibrant street to stay in and so easy to get around if you like to walk. I was upgraded and had a spacious room that was clean and windows I could open. Breakfast was good and staff were very friendly and very helpful. I go to Hanoi regularly and would stay here again.
Because I miss calculated dates between tours, I was pressed to find a place that I can stay for a night during the New Years celebrations. I found Gems Boutique and the room was so clean (I have had some unfortunate run ins in the past) that i was truly able to refresh and relax before moving on to my next adventure. Great hotel stay.
Not impressed. Staff member at front desk was not very friendly when I arrived. Wanted to see evidence of my booking and it took me a while to locate it in my emails (I did not expect to be asked for this as normally just showing the passport as ID was enough). He became impatient and wanted my phone to look himself. Obviously I said that I would not let him access my phone. Room was large size. Cleanliness was a problem. I was very unhappy, when I was making the bed up in the morning, I discovered some large dark hairs in the bedding that were not my own. Gross! I only stayed one night and would not return.
This was our first hotel in Vietnam and as soon as we stepped out of the taxi we were hit with culture of this incredible city. Note the taxi's cannot go down the actual street so drop you at the end and you walk down to the hotel. We were greeted with a smile and a very helpful lady who gave us city maps and information before showing us to our room. The room was spacious and everywhere has a very quirky feel with all the red paint and accessories. Greta base for exploring the city on foot and surrounded by excellent authentic food options.
We stayed for just one night in Hanoi, at the Gem Boutique Hotel. The staff were very friendly although the evening chap didn't speak fluent English which was difficult as we need a doctor. The breakfast was very average. However for clean rooms, great location and comfortable beds I think this is still an okay option. We didn't suffer the noise issues other people seem to have
Everything was perfect really, modern hotel and although it's in a dodgy looking "road" it's really very nice. If you like snails and Pippies this is the go. They have a very good spa next door and quite a number of restaurants of varying prices and food types. There's also a sports bar/ hotel 100 metres away
Stay here for 5 nights while we were in Hanoi. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is great. Very close to everything. Room is a reasonable size. I think the photos come across better than the place actually is. Pricing was too expensive aswell but for the price I was hoping for alittle more. It’s a very noisy area to stay in. We would be woken up in the very early mornings from loud banging and construction. Our air con leaked. A lot. Most mornings we would wake up and the air con would be pouring out water. Got very annoying. The toilet also was very week so it could flush paper very well. In my experience I think Hanoi is good for a base back and forth from places like ha long bay, tam coc and sapa. You can stay at places a lot cheaper in between travel. Just a suggestion when visiting this city
We sated here for 3 nights as a family and we were not dissppointed. The room are clean, well appointed and comfortable. The staff are very welcoming and accomodating , and ensured that we all had a pleasant stay. The Breakfast are of a high quality and there is a good choice available. The hotel is about a 5 minutes walk away from Hoan kiem lake and Night market.so Ypu're close a plethora of resaurants , Coffee shops and gift shops.Within the town.there also are many ATM's and most outlets exchange foreign currency at a resonable rate.
