The morning breakfast served here is one of the best ! From pastries and ham to fried carrot cake and Chwee Kueh which comes with sambal and Cai Poh. The guest is spoilt for choice. First class gym here ! It has more than 10 exercise treadmills and many more training machines that can rival any commercial fitness centres in the street! The rooms are spacious, clean with all the modern amenities any season traveller is accustomed too. In terms of value for money, comfort , great choice of Asian authentic food, Fortuna Hotel is hard to beat! Highly recommend .
Great service and staff. Very helpful and warm staff. I like the available facilities including a clean and well run spa, f&b offers a wide selection and entertainment which allows me to just stay in and relax without having to venture out especially on a short business trip. Rooms are recently renovated so its clean and bright. I'm definitely staying at fortuna again on my next visits. KK Singapore
This is my 5th time staying in Fortuna Hotel. I must say that the executive floor at level 5 offers a peaceful environment for morning breakfast and afternoon tea. The food served at the lobby cafe is of a wide variety and I love the dim sum lunch served at the Chinese Restaurant. Do plan your stay for the weekly Sunday Brunch which has a great selection of Chinese dim sum and roast meats for about $15 per person. The staff at the hotel are always attentive to my requirements. The location is also in close proximity to the nearby Lotte Centre and a short car ride to the old quarters.
This is not a 4-star hotel, low-range 3-star in my opinion. The room was clean an had an OK size. But the TV was a flatscreen but old and small, it took forever to get warm water in the shower, and the wifi was crap (you have to pay to get "normal" speed). The hotel has 3 restaurants but couldnt find any menus in my room so I had to visit each of them to learn their menus. The elevator system was annyoing; when trying to get an elevator you had to push both buttons outside and just hope it stopped. Inside of the elevator you had to remember to swipe your card before pushing the button (if u did it after or forgot the trip was cancelled). The gym was OK. The staff was friendly and helpful. But all the small things and the price makes this more of a 3-star for me.
I had the pleasure to stay in Fortuna hotel in May 2019. The hotel staff at the front desk is very accommodating. The room is well maintained and well designed to American stander. The window cant be opened. I agree with my friend the hotel is a little bit expensive consider this a 4 star hotel but 5 star price.
What we expect from 3/4 star standard hotel. First of all a big facilitated lobby. As per star rated it has a tini tiny one. Where is a small restaurant located on same floor. Breakfast is horrible. Their rules and regulations are like ripping off. Just 10 mins delayed i had to pay for breakfast. And finally price is way too much for sub standard hotel like Fortuna. I stayed this hotel for 3 nights end of Jan as a business trip. I was not please.
I always stay at Fortuna Hotel when I am business trip in Hanoi. Most of the time, I got room is good price, complementary, jacuzzi and so on. but last 3 times in this year, it a little bit fail. However, you are still my top choice for me.
Was there for 2 nights, hotel was there for many years and luckily the room I'm staying is somehow rather new ( refurbished lately I guess). No convenient stores nearby and couldn't get myself some drinking water at night. Always use a safety box as my other colleague lost some notes in the room when he was out(CCTV capture some housekeeping went in for 2mins long to place something, but no conclusion being make).
Good hotel, on bad location, far from old quarter, in noisy street with lot of traffic. Staff is great, clean rooms, food is ok, not so good wi fi,for Vietnamese circumstences expensive bar, had luck to get room with jakuzzi bat.
I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights during my first business trip to Hanoi in August 2018. I paid more than 3million VND per night, expecting at least 5-star standard, but realized it is actually a 4-star hotel. I will think a more reasonable rate should be near to 2million VND. Things that need improvement: 1) Elevator security access need serious revamp. The card access is never able to work at first try and often time I need to ask help from the hotel staffs. 2) Room is full of chemical smell, probably from the floor varnish. 3) Wifi only free on 516kbps. Higher speed is chargeable. Having paid such room rate, I expect high speed internet to be complementary. 4) Bed frame looks cheap and light. It get push around easily. 5) Breakfast variety is very minimal. The surrounding vicinity is nothing too interesting.
