The property was tucked away in a perfect location in Hanoi Old Quarter. After a 20 hr flight from Canada we arrived to a spacious, quiet suite with a very comfortable bed and ‘the best’ pillows! We found most, if not all, sights we wanted to see were in walking distance or a trip on the Hop On/Off bus took us there. As the street traffic (for walking in the evening) can be a bit overwhelming (but safe) we dined exclusively at the restaurant that adjoined the hotel. The buffet breakfast was also served here. All food offerings were very good and table service was top-notch. We highly recommend staying at DeSyloia when you visit Hanoi

We loved our stay at this hotel! The room was clean and well-appointed, the service was top-notch and the breakfast simply amazing! The hotel is located in a nice and quiet neighborhood, yet it is within walking distance from Hoan Kiem lake and some really nice restaurants. Will stay here again if we come to Hanoi!

Feedback On Hotel

Their customer service is excellent! Front desk and housekeeping. However, the aircon compressor kick-in too early in the morning (4am). It is very loud and it disrupted my sleep. Also, most of the gym equipments have broken down - bike seat cannot be adjusted, threadmill options cannot be selected and it stopped working after every 30 seconds. Besides, the gym is located just below the roof, hot like oven in the afternoon. Safety wise, there is no clear indication of fire escape route along the corridors or lift lobby. Obstacles like mattresses, etc are placed along the staircases between 4-8 floors, making walking difficult and it is definitely a fire safety violation.
