The staff and hotel were extremely accommodating allowing for early check in and providing ginger tea to my husband who had gotten food poisoning and to me who arrived on a very late flight. We loved our stay at this hotel! The room was clean and well-appointed, the service was top-notch and the breakfast simply amazing! The property was tucked away in a perfect location in Hanoi Old Quarter. After a 20 hr flight from Canada we arrived to a spacious, quiet suite with a very comfortable bed and ‘the best’ pillows! We found most, if not all, sights we wanted to see were in walking distance or a trip on the Hop On/Off bus took us there. As the street traffic (for walking in the evening) can be a bit overwhelming (but safe) we dined exclusively at the restaurant that adjoined the hotel. The buffet breakfast was also served here. All food offerings were very good and table service was top-notch. We highly recommend staying at DeSyloia when you visit Hanoi
