This hotel is close to the airport you can walk there if you want but it is not noisy at all. We arrived early very early as we drove through the night both times we stayed there, once on our journey out and once back. Each time the receptionist found a room and let us check in early for no extra charge, (nice touch no 1). THANK YOU we needed to rest in your large comfortable room. We joined the Leonardo Hotel Club and were instantly given a card that got us 10% off in the bar and restaurant, (nice touch no 2). As you enter the reception there is a large glass urn full of water and fruit inside it, if you have been travelling hard the fruit water is just what you need, plus beside it is a glass freezer with fruit ice lollies and mini milk type ice lollies that you can help yourself for free at anytime, also there is a bowl of apples to help yourself to as well, our daughter had a few ice lollies and loved them, (nice touch 3). A lady staff member took a shine to one of my daughters poor attempt at German but was rewarded with a small bar of chocolate from the hotel for her efforts (nice touch 4). Both meals we had in the restaurant were cooked to perfection and were very tasty, I can honestly say the children's meal for our youngest daughter was of a good size and excellent quality and was great value for money, (nice touch 5). The hotel has a small, warm shallow swimming pool which we loved to use. Sadly it was being repaired on our return journey and was closed. The only other little gripe was the sauna is only put on between certain hours and it was not on when we used the pool, but I suppose in today's green society it would be a waste to have it on all the time and should only be put on when it is most likely to be used. All the staff were impeccable and I mean everyone including the chambermaids, reception, waiters, cooks, I could not fault them in anyway they are a credit to the Hotel and I would give them all 10/10. Breakfast was a treat on both days, most of it was buffet style but the most beautiful omelettes cooked on demand at the counter. This is not the cheapest hotel to stay, and sure it is not the most expensive but I can say without any hesitation this hotel is worth it and if I ever return to Hannover I would book to stay here again.
We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of August when day time temperatures were in the mid 30's and night time mid 20's. The main down side was the bed room air conditioning, which was provided by a independent single unit in the room. When ever I turned the cooling fan up the air conditioning unit went off. At the lower fan speed the unit continued to work, but had little beneficial effect in cooling the room, so very uncomfortable to sleep. On our last night there was an electrical fire in the hotel which meant some off the electricity in the hotel was turned off, which meant we had no air conditioning at all! Rooms are clean and tidy and staff were friendly and helpful.
We stayed here on a one night stop-over on our way going by car from Italy to Scandinavia. Considering the price we did not consider this a particular good offer, but could not find anything else on short notice. Also the staff was not very helpful when we checked in. When near Hannover again, we will find alternative accomodation on future occations.
What a nice surprise! I booked because of the price was lower than the Maritim, although slightly further from the terminal. This was more than compensated by the wide, well - equipped, and tranquil room. And on top of that - the room had a tiny balcony!
The hotel is very convenient, 4 minutes from the airport, the staff are very friendly and helpful and if your there on business i would highly recommend it. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the Hannover Messe which is acceptable and close to the main plaza. The downside is that the restaurant closes during the night, no room service, and the buffet is ok but again i liked the place.
I have stayed at both the Maritim and now the Leonardo, whilst slightly further from the terminal - still walking distance, I actually prefer the Leonardo, its modern, rooms are excellent, comfortable beds and good pillows. Breakfast was excellent also. Highly recommend if you need a Hannover airport hotel.
I spent one night in this nice hotel recently. It was a wonderful stay! wide rooms, very well equipped in modern style, good breakfast (they cook your omelette in front of you) and kid service. There is a shuttle service and you will get airport terminal in 3/4 minutes (if you want you can go even walking)
Wow, What a location. It is located hardly few meters away from airport and if luggage can be managed, it is very easy to walk down to /from airport. Have not used amenities at hotel as I had stayed here for a night. They do have shuttle service to airport but that needs to be booked in advance. Rooms are good and comfortable. Overall a good hotel.
Stayed here many years ago when it was a Holiday Inn franchise and also soon after the move to Leonardo. Left again with a very polished airport hotel under Leonardo's stewardship. Good facilities and service all round. Rooms are large. Only room negatives for me, were that the baseline rooms have no fridge. Also there does not seem to be AC. Room was hot though the radiators. Quickest way to cool was to open the windows - however this obviously led to disruptive door slamming from adjacent neighbors and above floors. Food is good although expensive for dinner. Breakfast is excellent....possibly one of the best in any airport or chain hotel of this standard I've experienced. Would not hesitate to stay again.
Second week I’m coming here Service level is not consistent Last week I could get dinner till 11pm This week it changed to 10 pm, and even impossible to get something simple. 10 minutest after a table of 5 persons is served with full plate of Burgers Not really a nice experience after driving 5 hrs to reach the hotel
