We lived on the twelfth floor of the hotel and has a very big room. There were two beds, a big bathroom, a desk, a couch, and a coffee table. There is an amazing breakfast that has some American foods like sausage and some Chinese food like Noodles. Its located in the center of the city, very close to West Lake and Yun River.
World class hotel ... truly amazing ... excellent service by the hotel staff ... beautiful decor... amazing breakfast ... nice lobby ... hotel is right besties the big mall... excellent location ..very economical too... keep it up guys...
We stayed for 3 nights. The lobby of the hotel is pretty classy. Good location and facilities. Nice big room with a lounge chair, coffee table, desk, etc. Bed is above average size. The big downside for me was the airconditioning is inadequate. It was difficult to get the room cool enough to sleep comfortably. Other than that, no complaints about the hotel.
I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights on a business trip to Hangzhou. The hotel is at the heart of the business district and also not too far (20 minutes walk) to the famous West Lake. It was an old hotel, opened in 1999, but recently renovated. Hence, you can see a very nicely french themed lobby, but slightly dated rooms. The hotel is linked to a newly opened shopping mall, and also some other major malls in Hangzhou. As Hangzhou is a very walkable and pleasant city, the location of hotel is superb, allows you to explore Hangzhou by foot with ease. The breakfast, especially the chinese porridge at the hotel is among the best I've tasted so far. This hotel is suitable for business travellers, or travellers who would like to stay near the business district but yet within walking distance to West Lake.
A really nice hotel We booked with Ctrip for deluxe king bed . We got an upgrade to the 23rd floor which was nice suite room with small kitchen and lounge which was a nice surprise. Excellent location for taxi and also buses. From the hotel is you go to the outside from the car porch to the left are a lot of local restaurants with reasonably priced food. Excellent chicken pot with vegetables was in a restaurant at Wulinmen on bus 28 . Line 2 on the Metro. 48 Yuan for two to share 68 Yuan for 3 pax. Just a few shops up from the bakery at the corner of the junction. Forgot the name. Public buses from the side of the mall beside the hotel on Ya nan road go straight down a main street to big shopping areas and the lake is on any right side road from this main road . Carrefour is on this road as well. Note the bus timings on the boards especially last bus. Bus Y8 goes straight down and up this road but be careful not to take bus 8 but only a bus with Chinese Character and then no 8 . Pay 2 Yuan into a plastic container near driver for most trips - the distance does not matter. Bus 28 goes to Westlake takes and the Westlake Impression show. Get off when the bus announcement in English after chinese says terminus . Take bus opp side of hotel . Landison hotel had a good breakfast and good bed and facilities . We had a basket of fruits each day and even a Chinese hand decorated ladies fan on the bed most nights Bus no 7 goes to the Chinese Silk Museum and is worth seeing and it is free. Bus 7 also transfers to Bus 4 which goes to the temple which is by the lake. Best time to go is just before sunset and see the day and night scene. Trips on the Lake to an Island in the middle of the lake where you can stroll and take pictures cost around Yuan 55 and worth a 3 hour trip but last boats around late evening so go by 3pm to enjoy 2 hours on the island.
I enjoyed this hotel very much. The service was excellent. The rooms were well furnished and very clean. Each day we would receive a basket of fresh fruits or veggies. The dinner buffet on a Friday night was the best I have every experienced! It was amazing with so many choices. Loved the prime rib and crab. They had every dessert you could want. Do not miss their buffet! The breakfast was equally as good. This was an overall nice stay. I would stay here again. Loved it!
Landison is situated at a good location. Bed was abit hard and air on was abit cranky and would emit warm air even if we lowered the temperature to the lowest (it was winter when we went, so I didn't know if the temperature was controlled centrally). Service staff are friendly and nice. Breakfast costs 150 RMB per person as an add on. So please book a room with breakfast. See below for morning eating places near the hotel. When you exit from the main entrance, turn left and there are rows of shops selling food and a convenience store further down. The stall selling dumplings are quite good one specialise in dumplings while the other one also sells "zha jiang main". Not fantastic but for 6 - 8 yuan a bowl of filling dumplings, it is very affordable. Shopping generally is not cheap so it's strategic location near "银泰“ mall and some other malls is not worth mentioning. The “银泰” mall has a food court which sells decent food. Do also check the 贡茶 stall out if you have cravings for bubble tea. In all, it is a good hotel.
I still wish Trip Advisor allowed half stars, because this one deserves a 4.5. Qualifier, I rate all hotels on a global scale, not within category. So 4.5 for this ones means it's one of the best stays I've had in numerous trips around the world. I will note though that I got upgraded to a business suite upon arrival, so that skew my perception a little as it was a really nice room Lobby is very nicely done, marble (or looked like marble) columns. Not extra ordinarily large like a 5 star would have, but quite above average. Checking was friendly and efficient. Room, while an upgrade, was very nice. 2 balconies, kitchen area, living room area with both couch and work table, king bed, and large bathroom with two showers. Even for a suite this was better than the average on in my experience. Bed was comfortable, semi firm, proved very good sleep. Daily paper was delivered inside your room, not outside on the door, a nice touch. The breakfast buffet was quite varied and everything I tried was very good and tasty. We also had dinner one night and it was likewise good. The desserts by the way are quite varied and goood. We also went one night to the on site upscale Chinese Resturant. It was very classy, Chinese style. Wait staff was a little less English based, but we had no problem at all, a very cool experience. Location wise the hotel is near the high end shops and only about 15-20 minutes to West Lake. Overall a very good location, would stay here again without a second thought
The landison was a lovely hotel and excellent value for the money. Its rooms were huge and even contained enough space for a writing desk. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom facilities were excellent. The swimming pool was large and empty although a couple of warnings not he pool, you will have to bring to a swimming cap if you wish to swim, although these can be purchased at the hotel for 50yuan. My partner also mentioned If you choose to use the male changing room watch out as there in poorly place mirror that allows people outside to see straight in to the whole changing area when the door is opened. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
There's nothing to complain. Staff was friendly, room was good, pool was nice and we liked the breakfast buffet too, but there could have been little more choices I guess. Everything tasted fresh. The hotel is next door of Wulin Square and it's easy to go out in the evening and watch dancing fountain. The area and it's shopping facilities are quite expensive, but there are also few inexpensive choises nearby. The Christine bakery is near making great sandwiches.
