We stayed at the Marina Palace late September, it certainly is a very nice hotel, the staff were polite and helpful and went out of their way to satisfy your needs. The hotel and grounds outside were very clean. The outdoor pool was clean but to cold to swim in, with plenty of sun loungers. The bar was very clean and comfortable, with armchairs to relax in also the bar staff were fantastic. The rooms were very comfortable and very clean, with blackout curtains there were only two days our room were not cleaned, and we put it down to the coming of the low season. We only found a couple of down sides to this hotel, we went there on half board basis, which was not a good idea as the food was not very good, the food was cold and under cooked. The indoor pool was not heated, it was to cold to swim in it. The biggest problem we found was that you were not allowed to buy bottled water from outside, it had to be bought from the bar which is worked out to be more expensive. We will certainly return back to the Marina Palace Hotel, as apart from the down sides we really enjoyed our holiday there. I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff there, and hopefully see you in the New Year.
Went there for 2 night, staff were not friendly neither professional. Food is horrible, the hotel is not clean but very nice location though. I told the receptionist that the room is not clean, she didn't bother sending someone or even apologising. She only said ok!
Welcome to the Gem of Gems. A first rate third second class room. Where you will be welcomed by a not-functioning flush in toilette. Still not impressed? Than try bath-tub- you will be glad to get it choked in 2 minutes - to offer you swimming pool right in your room, may be. When one seriously have a low season, what bars them from offering best possible room in the given means and price? No Seriously - which reception does not know that which room does no have issues in their hotel? They must know that guest will ask to change the room without any second thought. Even if best - everything else does no more remains worth commenting!
We visited in April 2015, and opted for Half-Board. The rooms were very clean and spacious, and had a spacious balcony with loungers overlooking the pool. The food was varied and had something to satisfy every taste. There was also a Omelette bar in the morning and a Pizza Bar for dinner. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The Pool area is clean and plenty of had sun loungers to relax in. Will visit again.
I visited this hotel in 2012 and I would like to spend some more days there this summer as I still have nice memories from my first stay there.the hotel location is perfect, hotel very quite and comfy.staff are helpful.food is very good.generally I like this hotel
Hotel is not bad. Rooms are quiet and clean so is the bathroom. The location is not far from port and walking area. But in winter time Yasmine Hammamet is empty so most of restaurants and discos are closed in evenings. I was there with my boyfriend so we didn't need anybody, but if you come to this hotel for fun then you will not find animation this time of a year. And food in restaurant was not different and not so good so we often had to eat outside. I hope in summer situation in hotel Marina Palace will be better.
The place's location is absolutely convenient as it is near all the shops, the beaches and the restaurants. Very calm area where you can feel peace and relaxation! Inside hotel, staff were friendly and always ready for your service. The room I had was huge! I liked it, very relaxing, neat and has a view to the beautiful "hawaii" swimming pool. Even smaller rooms were pretty romantic snd cosy! As for the food it was yum yum! A good variety, very health, no fat and desserts were delicious! Overall I had a great stay and enjoyed the Marina Palace Hotel. I recommend it to you! Keep up the good work!
This hotel is definitely the worst I visited over the last few years. Booked a suite and got a quadruple room with not even a desk and a chair. Staff too rude especially the front desk. Bad service. Food below average some lunch items were served at dinner and then next morning for the breakfast. Seems hotel was never maintained since it was built. Stains on carpets, dirty mattresses and pillows. We regularly visit hotels on all continents. This was a horrible experience. Might be rated as a 4stars but it is just a creepy 3 stars. Ruined our family time ! Avoid being disappointed !
After a disastrous start to our holiday, we were transferred to Marina Palace, what a difference. The staff were exceptional, especially Sabri (barman) and Hedi the pool boy, am only not mentioning the others as dont know there names. We were treated very well, we were only english there, but made friends with Polish, Spanish and a group of fun loving Russian girls. The food was fantastic, the rooms were spotless. The reception staff were very helpfull. Only one complaint, the fact it was Ramadan so only couple nights entertainment, also the whole area of Hammamet was very quiet, but in some ways that was a plus. The staff deserve a very hard pat on the back for the way they have to put up with very rude guests. All in all I give this hotel 10/10.
It is claimed to be a four star lodging but three would already be a heavy overstatement. Some of the reception staff was rather crude and only spoke Arabic, French and some words in Italian - luckily we managed. Having said this the lady at the reception desk, as well as most staff at the bar were very nice, friendly and helpful. Rooms are in dire need to renovate; carpets are filthy, bathroom floor gummed with stale urine around the toilet bowl, paintwork on ceiling falling off, faucets in bathroom broken, towels and bed linen stained and worn, furniture dated, empty mini-bar, old television CRT set with very few international channels and a/c non functional (blows out warm air only). Due to the latter I had to sleep with open windows only to end up attacked by mosquitoes (unless they weren't bed bugs!!). Breakfast was awful, with a limited choice of unidentified soggy propositions, leftovers from previous dinner, bread rolls cheese and meats and powdered drinks. Dinner was slightly better, albeit always the same but still light years behind of the decent basics one would expect from a 4 star hotel. Drinks are expensive compared to what you generally pay in Tunisia, and the hotel won’t let you introduce anything bought from outside the hotel. Service at the restaurant is rough and not particularly friendly. The lobby bar and outdoor pool seem to be the only factors that pass the test here, with the latter having actually a beautiful setting. Tunisia needs to work very hard for it to maintain a steady inflow of western tourists coming, which makes up a big chunk of their economy. Infrastructural maintenance and the progressive upkeep of hospitality structures need serious consideration. I have recently stayed in other hotels in Tunisia, which were new and perfectly fine. Perhaps this is what the Marina Palace was some 15-20 years ago – but today is almost in shambles.
