Stayed here for a night. Check in was easy. The person that checked me in was very attentive. I ran into her in the hall, and she addressed me very politely using my name, and asked how my room and stay was going. It’s important in this business to make people feel comfortable. My room was on the first floor. The room was clean, tv was good. There was a fridge, microwave, coffee maker in the room. You could hear some traffic noise, but those things don’t bother me. I suggest you request a higher floor to minimize traffic noise. I didn’t use the pool or workout room, but they look satisfactory. It seems like a good place to take a young family. Lots of things for the kids to do at the hotel. I didn’t go outside, but I think there are restaurants with in walking distance. There is a bar/ restaurant on site. I did not eat there, so I can’t comment on the quality of food of service. I would stay here again.
first , the team are great. doing what ever they can in this avg. hotel facility. in general I'm quite disappointed from this and most of North America hotels. Canada, US hotel owner: take your time and visit Asia Pacific hotels. most of them are new, great service and In the 201x years. the America and Canada hotels are most from last century . also this hotel. the room decoration , facility and design is an old fashion. guys it's time to wake up. your team is great but all the rest need close look. bottom line AVG.
Stayed for a basketball tournament. The kids got to burn off some energy in the atrium, pool and games. The best is that it was an early bed time and there were no kids running the halls. After one game we came back and Mike the bartender gave our boys a magic show. Put a smile on the kids face. Great service Mike! Rooms were nice, check in fast and parking close. Would definitely stay again.
I recently spent a week at the Holiday Inn, My stay was good. The biggest pros were: -friendliest staff in the restaurant during every meal -rooms were clean and well kept -I like how for the 5th and 6th floors you have to have a pass to get on those floors -room service was quick and easy -good location: near a small mall & right off the highway Major dislikes: -the gym isnt private; there is no back wall? Therefore anyone walking through can see you, OR what happened to me, there was an event thing in the atrium and there was a group of creepy guys staring so I left. -no free weights? -as I was there for business I had to be up at 0530. For some reason the staff put a group of kids in multiple rooms around me and all night they were running up and down the hall and kept the latch lock in the door so it wouldn’t close and the doors kept slamming all night -I was charged on my card more than what my final bill said Overall, except for the night the kids showed up, my stay was good. It is a nice hotel with great food and staff, but trying to unwind in the gym is hard when people are eye balling you and making you feel uncomfortable. If you’re looking for a good workout after a long day - this is not the hotel.
I travel a lot for my job and found this hotel to have most attentive staff of them all. The rooms are clean and well taken care of. I would highly recommend the the Alloro restaurant, the food is wonderful and well priced. Christine behind the bar has been wonderful even remembering my drink after being gone for a week, she will treat you like family which is always nice when your away from home. Definitely try the crispy goat cheese it’s my favorite.
We stayed for one night on December 22nd. The room was clean, bed and pillows comfortable, good shower and towels. It was quiet. The breakfast was much better in variety than most hotels of this status....lots of choice. Service was friendly at front desk and in dining area. We felt this was an excellent experience for the cost.
To start , when we arrived the front desk clerk was rude. There was a sign posted there for breakfast to open at 6:30 A.M., which would have been perfect for us as we were travelling early on the 24th. We went downstairs and entered the restaurant at 6:45 and was met by a very rude employee that said they don't open until 7 am and coffee won't be ready for 15 mins. I explained to her that the sign on the front desk said they opened at 6:30. She said she didn't care what it said. Well that gave us enough time to gather our luggage and leave the Hotel. As we were leaving after 7 she was putting out the coffee etc. Our breakfast was suppose to be included. I will never stay at another Holiday Inn again
We booked a room for one night. We were meeting friends for dinner and had not expected the horrendous traffic in the vicinity of our hotel. Our room was very nice and sparkling clean. The two double beds were exceptionally comfortable. The only thing that spoiled our total enjoyment of the room was the fairly strong odour of chlorine emanating from the indoor pool. As it was late and we were only staying one night we decided to live with it. We had an enjoyable breakfast next morning at Alloro in the hotel before we headed home.
We arrived at 6pm, after driving 2 hours to find out they gave our room to someone else. The room was reserved on our credit card and they allowed someone else with the same last name to sign for it. Luckily there was still a room available. The restaurant on the main floor was okay for dinner. Breakfast buffet was a disaster. We waited to be seated and when we were finally seated many of the tables were dirty. There were only 5 different parties in the restaurant at the time. There were no clean glasses at the buffet for juice, Only coffee mugs on the tables. No coffee being served or set up in the restaurant. Broken plate on the floor, nobody cleaned up. We at breakfast quickly (it wasn’t good) When we went to pay for the meal the girl at the counter asked if the waitress gave us a receipt, we told her we didn’t see a waitress only the hostess that seated us. She apologized and told us she was really busy. Horrible service messy restaurant all around. While we were eating our breakfast we watched people walk in and have no place to sit and walk out. We watched a lady come in with her kids one being a baby under 1 year, she asked for a high chair and the waitress pointed to the corner and told her they were “over there”. How is a lady suppose to carry a baby and a high chair back to her table. Very disappointing. We did find the coffee in the lobby on our way out. I have never had such a horrible experience.
I have to give a huge shout out to Christina !!! I travel extensively and this was my very first time at this location she definitely went above and beyond in ensuring my stay was great.. Hotels need more personable people like her I will definitely return and it’s because of the warm friendly atmosphere Christina created Thank you
