The staff (Trainee) on duty was friendly and willing to help. I asked for more pillows and chair and he was happy to sort this out for me while I went out. The premise is limited with parking (ie. if you not want to park on the road), upon my return all the car parks were full and this was not ideal as I had to carry my toddler with a stuff shoulder. This place is bit run down but was clean and good decetn bed in comparision to some other places I have been to. Overall, a good place to stay with a budget

This place is a disaster. I think a backpackers would be a better option. We booked just to sleep (luckily we weren’t there for any longer). It was what I’d imagine a jail cell bed to feel like. The entire place is rundown and looks as though it hasn’t been touched since the 80s. I would not recommend anyone staying here - it’s cheap, but not THAT kind of cheap. For over $100 per night for a week night I’d expect a lot better. Very noisy, could hear people upstairs, next door, outside. No black out curtains. Just a bad experience all around - I wouldn’t normally be this negative but there was nothing nice to say.

The room needs to be updated, the bath room needs a complete rebuld, spa bath was very difficult to get in and out of and dangerous a big showner area would have been great. We didn't use the pool as it was winter.

It was a nice studio room, the amenities were more than I expected. Microwave, small fridge, cook top, jug & toaster etc, I was surprised at how many options there were for making food. The bathroom was huge, it had a shower over a bath. The bath was big and spacious. Really enjoyed our stay here, it was only for one night, but very pleasant and the price point for the room was cheap. Would definitely stay there again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. My room was nice and tidy, well maintained, comfortable bed, easy access to the motel and lots of parking spaces. The Managers and Staff are also very polite, friendly, approachable and helpful. The best thing about my room was the big spa bath, it was so relaxing and with the jets going made it that much better, I'm about 6'2 and could comfortably lay in there. I will definitely be staying here again as I travel to Hamilton roughly every 12 days to see my two young daughters who also loved the place. If you're looking for an affordable place, tidy facilities, easy parking, comfortable rooms and friendly approachable staff then I'd highly recommend The Alcamo. Thank you for having my Daughters and I Patrick.

It will take a feet of acrobatics to get into the shower/tub. In its hayday, this was probably the place to stay but the rooms have seen better days. I cringe at the black carpets and drapes - god only know what secrets they hold. It just felt sleezy. The beds were comfortable. I would not stay again.

This property is a bit dated but had everyrhing we needed for an overnight stay incl microwave tea and coffee making facilities and bedding was comfy. Only critic would be the pillows (thankfully we bought our own based on other reviews to do so), and only 1 warm blanket so I got cold in the bed near the windows.

Whilst the bed was very comfortable, the room was barely basic. No additional pillows or blankets. The shower was over a very large and high spa bath, difficult to get into and out of. The shower head was low and water sprayed in all directions except where it was needed. No bedside lights. A plug-in heater was supplied in the room and this was very efficient. Overall felt old and very dated.
