We were there for my son's birthday the pool area was fantastic not too many choices for food, we order room service twice and the food was terrible!!
Beautiful, with all the lights and Christmas trees. Close to the mountain for, snowboarding and tubing!
A little pricey, but a great local resort. Indoor pool was one of the best I have been to.
While the Grand Cascades website leaves a lot to desire (i.e. it's funny that such an amazing treasure in New Jersey has a website that is so horribly painful to navigate), the hotel experience is out of this world! The service by the staff was superb and the rooms themselves were stunning and amazingly comfortable. We ordered room service and the food was great (albeit a little expensive). I definitely recommend the indoor pool during the winter. And if you're brave...swim out to the outdoor hottub and relax with the cold air on your head. The only problem I would share is that our water temperature in the room was not very hot. It was more lukewarm, which made showering not the most fun. But for that to be the ONLY complaint for the entire weekend, that's fine by me. I would definitely go back.
This place was great for a quick getaway from NYC. I think the staff is very nice and doing their best but could benefit from additional training. Another weird thing: Every single table in the restaurants is GINORMOUS. They could easily accomodate twice as many people if they had normal sized tables.
The location was beautiful, the rooms were spectacular, the spa was stunning and services perfect. The only drawback to this property was the room service. Due to a health problem we couldn't partake of some of the restaurants so we ordered room service three times. ALL times the orders were wrong. On top of that when we told the order taker that an entree was missing, we were charged an additional $5.00 + $4.00 room service fee for them to redeliver the missing entree when we got hungry 3 hours later. I guess we could have fought it, but we just weren't in the mood to. The Bistro restaurant has great food and service however, it is set up in the middle of the lobby. Not private at all. They should set up some sort of privacy screens so that everyone walking through the lobby doesn't watch you eat. Overall, the experience was great, just stay away from room service. Great for golfers and families.
