This charming terrace-level studio in Haiku-Pauwela offers gorgeous common space with a dedicated queen bed plus a queen-sized sofa bed for additional space and guests, a flatscreen TV, and a spacious sized bathroom containing a “Jack-and-Jill” pair of sinks - one industrial for dishes and the other for ablutions - a stand up showerhead, a deep tub and a complimentary first night supply of locally sourced soaps and shampoos. It’s kitchenette has everything including a toaster oven, microwave, mini-fridge and portable cooking burners, but not its own stove, oven and sink. Your spacious sized bathroom contains a “Jack-and-Jill” pair of sinks - one industrial for dishes and the other for ablutions - a stand up showerhead, a deep tub and a complimentary first night supply of locally sourced soaps and shampoos. Our business and foreign visitors enjoy our strong WIFI signal from networked, overlapping extenders through which you can enjoy a variety of free premium streamers on the unit’s flatscreen set on a swivel wall-mount. Keeping you comfortable the all-important Island rarity an independent AC unit, and two terrace level balconies to unwind in the trade winds. Best of all is the common use 8-person hot tub, covered patio, twin outdoor hammocks and BBQ grill.

This space was very clean & looked just like the photos. Entry & check out were easy. Also for us very conveniently located to visit family. My two cons are,Sound travels very well from one unit to the next. You can hear your neighbors simply chatting. But that’s kind of standard with the open air feel. And second the pull out couch bed is not suitable for sleeping, it’s majorly broke down and you can feel nothing but springs. We didn’t want even our 5yo to sleep on it. We borrowed a floor bed from family close by. That could be an easy fix to upgrade this to a 5 star location for a great price!

Our stay was as expected— which is a great thing! It’s not fancy, but it was an incredible home base in Maui. The air conditioning was definitely a bonus compared to some other places we looked at. One thing to note is that Google maps does tend to take you down one road too soon. We used the bed and the pull out sofa and both were adequate.

Perfect location

We were looking for a place to begin the Road to Hana. This location in Haiku was perfect. We were able to get an early start the next day to beat the crowds. We stayed here again on the way back after our stay in Hana. Very quiet neighborhood. Close to Paia town where there are little shops and great eateries: fish, flatbread, ice cream, shave ice, etc. I got here a couple minutes before check in at 4 but received no communication from the owner on how to check in. Apparently the email doesn’t go out until after 4:00 though the confirmation email said it would go out the morning of your stay. However this was quickly resolved.

Everything was just so efficient. No need stay in line and wait for check in and check out. And the awkward smiling at the hostess Everytime you leave and come back in. Everything we needed was in our suite and the on call assistance is always available.

Comfortable stay in Haiku

The place is spacious, some parts dated and some updated. It is upstairs, so bringing up luggage was a bit challenging by myself, however an upper unit is always nice to have. There is one small window AC unit which is very noisy, so close the west-facing shades in the afternoon. Fortunately I was staying in early March.There was some unexpected noise such as a renovation next door and a very loud TV playing but otherwise it was quiet. The bed was comfortable. I recommend they inform guests to use the neighbor's address for GPS, otheriwise it sends you up the wrong street.
