A surprise for the better! I did not expect too much, but when we arrived at the hotel we found an inviting and pleasant place, nice and comfortable rooms, tasty and varied food and above all the level of service of the hotel people who do not see even more expensive places which considered prestigious. highly recommend

There are 2 separate properties at this address. One is the Leonardo Hotel proper which we were not booked into. The other is an adjacent building that uses the Leonardo's address and good ratings to hide their slum like apartments. We were told the apartments are individually owned and rented out. Checking in was a nightmare as there is no front desk and the confirmation I received had no instructions. When I called to get instructions they hung up on me twice. We persisted and finally got into the apartment only to find a hovel. There was mold and bugs in the bathroom, there wasn't even a blanket on the bed, the counters were filthy, and every drain was clogged. The highlight of my trip was standing in water up to my ankles in the shower. There are no supermarkets near by so if you don't have a car you are screwed. The location is beautiful but everything else was deplorable.

the hotel is near the Mediterranean see. All rooms are comfortable. you should decided room to stay by see wiev . elevator is different. if you want to go lobby you should press to button which is front of the elevator door. than direction tell you which elevator you should get in l. there are 4 elevator .

I spent more than a month annually in hotels all over the world. This was by far the most expensive hotel so far, but having to be in Haifa nearby I decided to give it a chance. And yes, pretty disappointing. The room was totally run down incl a totally useless safe (see pix). I wont go into too many details as I have no reason to shame the hotel however this wont be by choice next time in Haifa..... Breakfast was good however I would love to teach the staff how to do their job in a more professional style......

We spent the weekend in the Royal Suite with three kids. We had two comfortable rooms and a living room, 3 TVs, a dining table and a nice sofa. The breakfast and dinner buffet were wonderful, tasty and diversed. The hotel is placed near the sea and Haifa's beautiful Boardwalk, a great opportunity to enjoy October's cool evenings. We also met Miri Capon, the hotel's Guest Relation Manager, who was always there for us, even during Friday and Saturday. Thank you for a wonderful and surprising vacation!

Stayed a night there but love the hotel . Room cozy , Clean and very spacious . Big balcony . Could see beautiful sunrise . Met Miri the guest relations manager . Very warm , friendly and helpful lady . Ensure that our luggages got into our coach . Stood at coach bay to send us off .. great place to stay

The buffet breakfast is superb! We stayed in a charming, clean suit with view to the beach. One can hear the sound of waves while staying in bed...The bathroom is modern and fully equipped with amenities.

The location is perfect. Right off the beach in Haifa with several beach front restaurants right out back. But that’s where the good stops. The rooms are disgusting. Stained furniture, stained rugs, filthy widows on the inside that were not cleaned my entire stay. The place needs a major investment and upgrade.

We stayed at Leonardo plaza for 5 days and it’s dirty. We’ve been itching at bad. The room isn’t clean. The food at breakfast isn’t fresh and not Hygienic. At dinner terrible. Barely 3 stars hotel, more likely a hostel. We won’t come back!

Pros and cons below but first: - positioning this hotel as a 4.5 stars is a LIE!!!!!!! I have been to many 4-5 stars hotels around the world and in Israel, this one is definitely not one of them! - a respectable 4.5 stars hotel puts some effort in it's soap and shampoo - it smelled terrible!!!!!!!! I had to go and buy something outside the hotel. - this was a large family vacation during the jewish holiday season. We were 6 couples and 4 children so my review will sum our whole experience Cons: * maintenance: Horrible!!!!!! One of the families had ants in the room, the staff sprayed the room twice but it didn't help (they moved them to another room); one of the families' air conditioner broke down (during israeli summer) - they were also moved to another room. There is mold behind the doors and it seems like no one does a basic maintenance to this hotel. We also found bugs in our room but it was a night before we left so we didn't had the nerves to deal with them. * elevators - there are almost 20 floors and only 4 elevators (3 normal on Saturday, since 1 stops on each floor). We had to wait 15 minutes or walk down the stairs! * synagogue - for the ladies - no air-conditioner. It is in a basement and the ladies aide has no air conditioner. Impossible! * service - when we came with my pregnant family member about the ants issue - the staff didn't seem to be surprised nor tried to be helpful! I had to ask the guy to look for another room for them since it is dangerous for a pregnant woman to stay in a sprayed room. * pool area and amenities - pool area amenities very poor and old - chairs and beach beds falling apart, towels - looks from the 90s', smells bad and are not meant to use in a pool. * room - our room constantly smelled of mold, no matter how much we tried to open a window. * we found a bag in the closet that wasn't ours... cleaning staff?! Good thing we found it on our last day. Pros: * food - the food was good, great variety, breakfast was better than dinner. Much better! Lots of different choices. * cleaning staff - the rooms are clean (sheets, towels, bathroom..) and the cleaning staff are very kind, polite and attentive. They were really trying to help with the ants issue. * beach - great location for all the beach fans, 3 minutes across the street. * view - the view from the top floors is terrific! There are a lot of great hotels in the area. Don't go to this one!
