I was very happy with the hotel. Views were amazing. Staff was friendly. The hotel bar was nice if you want to stay in. The only downfall was the food. Israel being a vegan/vegetarian friendly country, I had high hopes for all areas I visited food wise. Out of all the areas I visited this hotel had by far the worst food.
2nd time here excellent service excellent food every thing is clean and inviting This hotel is my favorite hotel in the Haifa area We absolutely will return here Very recommend ... מלון מאוד נעים וידידותי לצליאקים מומלץ
I really liked it , surprise view and service Defenetly recommended , with walk around the Carmel close to the cafe and restaurants Great location Great for business and pleasure . With spetecular views of the city .
Not only is this a terrific hotel in every way, I had incredible service there. I had mis-counted my pills that I took on a trip, and had none for my visit to Vienna. It was New Year's Day, and I asked the front desk to contact the doctor so that he/she could write prescription refills. They couldn't reach the doctor that day, so asked me to wait in the lobby and they would try to find a solution to my problem. Then the Manager of Security appeared and I told him my problem. He made a call to a pharmacy. I told him that a pharmacy could not dispense drugs without a doctor's prescription. He told me to come with him. He then drove me in his car to a pharmacy, where he knew the pharmacist who gave me the drugs that I vitally needed. When I asked how she could do this, she said "We are good people. We find solutions to problems. Do a good deed for somebody else." How can you top that?
The Dan Carmel is a modern, extremely well-located hotel that offers sweeping, panoramic views of the Haifa harbor. Airy, light-filled rooms are well appointed & bathrooms are spacious, with separate tubs & showers. Service is lovely & the breakfast buffet is ample & delicious. The Dan Carmel is the newest & nicest of the three Dan hotels we stayed in during a recent, week-long exploration of Israel, surpassing even the King David in Jerusalem in terms of luxury & comfort.
room spacious, view perfect from roomy balcony, lobby warm and inviting. Walk to every significant part of the top of the Carmel. Short cab to cable car down to the beach. the staff couldn't to enough to please and the beautiful breakfast include featured made to order eggs pancakes and more.
The bathroom was huge. It was actually several small rooms. Keeping functions separate is great. Too bad that I was traveling solo. This place had, by far, the best accommodations, even though the others were excellent as well.
So, if you are prepared to huff and puff from the Baha’i Temple at the bottom of the road (and forgo the bus and taxis) and want a nice swim, then this place is for you I stayed here for three nights over the Shabbes and found the service here better than their much vaunted King David Hotel in Jerusalem I guess it’s personal preference - the service and food here was better and nicer Well done and thanks
Last week i spent three days at a conference at the Dan Carmel Hotel abd it was absolutely fabulous. The hotel is in some ways a lttle old fashioned but the room was spacious , beautifully maintained and the bed was extremely comfortable. The view from the hotel is picture perfect - you look down on the Haifa Bay and you are right by the Louis promenade which overlooks the Bahai Gardens. \ The conference was wonderful, though not organized by the hotel. The facilities were great. One eveing we celebrated in the Rondo (i cant remember the name) restuarant at the hotel, overlooking the bay and the view was absolutely magnificent - very romantic. I would imagine it as an excellent choice for a small wedding venue However - the food was just completely over the top. The choice at each and every meal ( and the snacks between meals) weas amazing. Simply the food was great. As to the staff - they were all helpful. The dining room staff were all very attentive and all seemed genuine in their task of keeping the diners happy. One waiter , Ahjmed noticed that i didnt have a teaspoon and unobtrusively placed one on my saucer . I think that attention to detail, to give the hotel visitor
Very good experience with this hotel on a recent business trip Pros: - very accommodating staff. They parked my car for me when I arrived @ 1am - Beautiful location with the Bahai gardens right behind the hotel - Nicely remodeled hotel rooms and bathrooms - Great firm mattress - Good selection at breakfast Cons - Limited parking under the hotel and I had to ask them to open the exit gate for me each morning
