The location and stunning views from Dan Panorama is excellent. But it is always the staff that make a stay. They were simply excellent from Reception, Dining room, Laundry and Housekeeping. Nothing was too much trouble and when needed was done quickly and efficiently.
Nice, clean and well-located hotel in the heart of Haifa. Pretty good rooms, tasty food, but, most of all - excellent service. Thank a lot for the stuff leaders: Alberto, Dany, Albert and the others. I really liked the view.
My husband and 16 friends spent 28 nights at the Dan Panorama in Haifa. We were part of the Boston-Haifa Exchange helping school children with their conversational English. All of the hotel staff went out of their way to make our experience comfortable and special. The breakfasts were delicious, with lots of variety. The Executive Lounge was a great place to unwind and catch up with other members of our group. I highly recommend this hotel if you visit Haifa!
What a lovely experience. There is a generosity at this hotel that makes one feel very welcome. Little touches like the plate of fruit and little box of chocolates that were waiting for us in our room, the generously replenished soap/shampoo/lotions, the complimentary coffee and tea in the rooms, and the juices and water available in the lobby, the DEELICIOUS little sesame cookies available in the lobby at all times....these things make this hotel stand out. The view is exceptional, the rooms are comfortable, the staff and service were just great. The breakfast is superb. The decor may be a teeny bit dated, but who cares. I'll take gracious hospitality over cool any day. Can't say enough good things about this place.
It's been quite a while since I stayed in this hotel in Haifa and I must say, I was very pleasantly surprised: perfect location, clean and comfortable room (small but sufficient), gorgeous view and the most helpful and pleasant staff I have come across in years... I would like to commend, especially, the people at the reception desk and the concierge - Amir, Yarden, and most of all TAL OZALBO who goes an extra mile for the guests! not self evident these days... Chapeau!
The room was nice, located at the 14th floor. I had a very nice view of the surroundings and a portion of Haifa Bay. The location of the hotel is in Carmel Center, with many shops near by. I recommend this hotel!
Lets start with the good things: dated can also be seen as old fashioned charm and that it has plenty. The view is hard to surpass and the staff at the reception desk are very polite and helpful. The location is great too. So what is wrong? The price is too high for what it is and of a "special deal" I saw very little in reality. I won't bore you with details but there are better hotels at better prices.. The main problem as far as I was concerned was the restaurant. And, have I said it already? Overpriced for what it is.
Stayed for 3 months here & was happy for most of the time, so can't be too bad! Comfortable rooms, most with great views of either the harbour, the city or the park, however a few rooms do have a very restricted view, mainly of the residential tower block next door. Business lounge on the top floor is a great place to unwind after work. Ate in most nights for convenience & were rarely disappointed by the food, always a very good choice of hot meals & a fabulous salad bar. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Be warned this hotel is very popular for Shabbat & descends into total chaos of Friday evenings, 20-30 minute queues for the lifts were not unusual, nor were sleepless Friday nights, due to noisy neighbours - staff seem to struggle to cope too. Pool is a very pleasant place to relax on days off, so long as you avoid Saturdays.
great views overlooking the harbor - on a clear day you can see the ancient city of Acco. Fabulous Israeli breakfast - you'll only need a quick bite to hold you over until dinner. location is 10 minutes to a bevy of restaurants, bars and little shops. room was in great shape - my kids loved the tv built into the bathroom mirrors. Friendly staff.
This hotel is in serious need of a renovation. The furniture looks like it is from the 60s and still had a built in console. There are no outlets in the bathroom and the blow dryer is bolted down in a desk drawer. The breakfast was mediocre at best, it is highway robbery for a shabby run down hotel to charge over 250 a night. I expected better from Dan hotels.
