The Wildlife Refuge provides four miles of pristine beach with hiking trails among the dunes and along the lagoon. The short drive along West Beach Boulevard west from the “T” at the terminus of Highway 59 to the end of the road takes you from the excitement at The Hangout to a calm setting in the dunes surrounded by palm trees.



The house is just steps from a beach that is uncrowded and stretches for miles in front of the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, so it is easy to find a private spot to enjoy. Sunset View has the advantage of being located in the exclusive West Beach neighborhood of Laguna Key. Laguna Key features a shared pool and tennis court with a basketball goal, as well as a private walkway to the beach and two piers on Little Lagoon with easy access for a kayak or canoe. From the main living area looking south at the white sand beaches and the crystal blue waters of the gulf, you'll see the palm trees swaying in the wind. You'll enjoy unobstructed views of sand dunes and sunsets. The patio offers a south facing sectional to watch the water shimmer in the sun and a west facing dining table with chairs to enjoy a gorgeous sunset and a glass of wine.The kitchen has new appliances and the oven is a double oven which a great addition for a crowd. The dining area seats six and the kitchen bar seats four. The main level has a beautiful queen bedroom with ensuite bathroom perfect for family that prefer less stairs. This main floor also has a half bath and laundry room. Going upstairs to the two king bedrooms both with ensuite bathrooms you'll find the views. Step onto the upper balcony from either room and watch pelicans dive into the Gulf while seagulls lull you to sleep on the loungers. The larger king room on the south side is considered the master but both rooms provide ample room and beach views from the bed. One more flight up is the loft. This is the perch room with a twin size daybed and views of the little lagoon and the gulf. The little bar has windows facing the gulf to sit and write, read, reflect or just use your imagination. This would be a great area for anyone to get away from the crowd and just enjoy the views or read a good book in private. We haven't even discussed the guest house...yes, it has a guesthouse!! From the kitchen you can walk through the glass enclosed skyway to the guesthouse den which has a queen pullout sofa. It also has a cute galley kitchen with everything you could need,,,Keurig, blenders, crock pot, shrimp boil pot, mini 4 eye stove, and fridge. This den also features its own covered patio facing west with gulf views and 5 large palm trees rustling in the wind. Going upstairs in the guesthouse you'll find another king bedroom with ensuite bath and another west facing view of the gulf and dunes of Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge. And if that is not enough, go from the guesthouse den downstairs to the bottom floor. There you'll find another bedroom with full over full bunks. This room has an exterior door to outside and access to the main house garage. No tv or bathroom in there but occupants can use the guesthouse king ensuite bath or the half bath on main house living room. The garage has space for two cars and has two bicycles for guests to enjoy. There is a screened in area with a little bar and barstools. The little storage area has some beach and pool toys for guests to use but the condition of those changes with each guest as they may break or get left behind. Also some guests will add to the toys once departing to have more car space going home. This house is absolutely perfect for a family or friend getaway. Lots of space to escape from the crowd and find peace but generous space for everyone to be together as well. Your SUNSET VIEW will make you want to book this house year after year!!



The Neighborhood:

Laguna Key is a gated beach front and lagoon front community at the very end of West Beach Boulevard in Gulf Shores. The beach is to the south, the lagoon is to the north, and the Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge is to the west. It is situated in a quiet part of the beach, but is only a quick drive away from all the restaurants, festivals, and activities of Gulf Shores - it is just under 6 miles down the beach from The Hangout. The amenities of Laguna Key make it a perfect destination for family and friend vacations - beach boardwalk with gazebo, pool with bathrooms, tennis courts, pier onto the lagoon with gazebo, and quiet private interior streets behind the gated entrance.



Getting Around:

Laguna Key is the gated community at the end of West Beach Boulevard in Gulf Shores. Approach Gulf Shores on Highway 59. When the road ends at The Hangout, turn right onto West Beach Boulevard. Laguna Key is 6 miles down West Beach Boulevard. Once inside the neighborhood, go straight until you reach the cul-de-sac, 3270 Dolphin Dr will be on the right.
