Family Spring Break

This was our first trip to Gulf Shores and we lucked out with booking this property. The short walk to the beach made it super convenient, the fenced in yard for our dogs was such a bonus, and the pool, while super chilly, was perfect for the kids. We would highly recommend this property and this beach to our friends

Excellent Choice!

Very cute beach house great location 5 min walk to beach with private pool. Was nice, clean, comfortable beds, photos as advertised with the yard and pool enjoyed by all including pets! The rental company responded to all my questions prior and during stay immediately. Great experience!

New year get away

House was in a great location in a nice quiet neighborhood . It is walkable to the beach or just a short car ride. Great fenced in backyard and nice poolHouse was perfect for our family for a week of sun, beach, and relaxation. Would definitely recommend this property.

Excellent stay at Eagles Nest

Eagles Nest was perfect for us. More space than we needed for just the long weekend. It was clean and as depicted in the listing. Well lit bathroom with a Jacuzzi bathtub and large master suite. The beds were comfortable and the TVs had Direct TV. We enjoyed the private pool. We will choose to stay here again when visiting the Gulf Shores area.

Stay at Eagles Nest

Should've paid attention to other reviews. Location is great, but the house is run-down. Appliances are old (washer/dryer) or in need of repair (fridge) Floors & carpets needed cleaning. Stuff scattered around the yard & under house. Yard (dog poop) needs cleaned up.

Great place for family minor imperfections.

We had a great time with family . Pool was a plus . Short walk to beach access . Only dislike was MOLD in living room and master bedroom , pretty bad . Other dislike was , you would expect at $340 a night , better than the cheapest 1ply toilet tissue money can buy , bring your own , that was unbelievable. No handrail at entrance upper doorway for handicapped .

Loved our stay

The checkin process was perfect. We have no complaints. Love the location. Home was super clean. Pool was a great bonus. We used it everyday. The beach was clean, short distance from home, and the water was perfect. Definitely would recommend.

Misleading

The pictures of the house must be extremely dated. When we arrived the carpet, yes carpet at a beach house, was disgusting. It was stained throughout the house. The property manger did not response to concerns about there being two poisonous snakes found alive on the patio and in the outdoor shower area. Luckily we discovered instead of my puppy or child. We also had an ant infestation and frog infestation with the small lap pool having upwards of 20-30 frogs at night which is probably contributing to the snakes. There was significant water damage and need for painting throughout the property. The guest room also only had a full size bed vs queen as described in the booking. I have always been confident in my bookings but this was truly a disappointment.

The house had soft spots all through it. The eagles nest was not secure and had soft spots someone is going to get hurt. Pool was dirty doors were messed up would not stay on track they even came off

Family Vacation

Amazing Experience

My family had an amazing experience at the Eagle’s Nest. There is a short walk to the beach or you can drive around the corner to park your car. It is so close to everything you need but very quiet at night. The house was spacious enough for 3 generations of the family to have their own space. We loved the open floor plan. Furniture was comfy, great for an afternoon nap as well as the lounge chairs by the pool & on the back deck. (I enjoyed a few naps during my stay). I would nightly recommend this property to friend’s & family. We would definitely stay again.

Excellent location and good place to walk your dog

Housekeeping was good however house needs work paint, carpets need to be replaced had bad stains, kitchen floor was weak in places pillows on king bed needs replaced, grill was unkept a lot of ashes that wasn't dumped after multiple uses, pool loungers need to be replaced. On the good side Pool was clean and maintained . Excellent location and loved the fenced in backyard for dogs. The master bedroom/ bathroom were nice and big. Overall we had a great experience

Home away from home!

This property met all of our needs for my husband, two sons and our dog, Piper. The backyard is completely fenced in and we spent lots of time in the private pool, shaded by palm trees. The inside was beautiful, comfortable and we kept saying “we’d love to live here”! Close to the beach and great restaurants. We can’t wait to book again soon!

Family Summer getaway

House was bigger than we expected! Nice area. Close to the beach. About 5-6 minute walk from beach access. Upstairs bed and queen bed very comfortable. The twin & bunk beds were not comfortable but fine for kids. High pitched whistle sound any time the downstairs shower was on. Also the spigot in the downstairs bathtub easily came off while water running and would spray out of tub. Pool was a nice bonus but HIGHLY chlorinated. My 4 year old daughter ended up with a bad, painful rash from the chlorine. 2 of the 5 adults had a chlorine rash as well. We didn’t get in the pool much after Day 1. Kitchen had very minimal storage options for leftover food we cooked. Not a big deal but keep that in mind when visiting. Weak spots in the flooring of kitchen/ main living space. The palm trees in the backyard were pretty but would suggest some grooming. Obstructed views tremendously while sitting on the back porch. Supplied high chair and pack ‘n play was nice! Overall, nice property. Would suggest some minor improvements to downstairs bathroom tub/shower, groom palm trees and possibly adding less chlorine to pool.

Unexpected and uninvited guest -STRESSFUL

The property was nice, clean and great layout of space. We had a couple of issues while there. The first was a severe ant problem on the back deck/stairs. 1- There were THOUSANDS of ants on the stairs and railing leading to the pool. My children both got several bites as well as myself. I called the management company and they were very responsive and sent someone fairly quickly and resolved the issue. 2- There was/still is at least 1 or 2 VENOMOUS snakes living under the deck by the outdoor shower. I took several pictures of the snakes and I called the management company and they sent someone out. The gentleman who came was very nice, however was unable to remove the snake(s). He is not a snake handler and he also stated he wasn’t allowed to move it. He stated he would try and contact a reptile rescue group and return to lift the decking and remove the snakes. They did not return while we were still renting the property, so sadly my children were terrified to go outside and enjoy the pool for the last 3-4 days of our trip. I was also hesitant to let the dog out in the yard unsupervised. It just became difficult to relax knowing the snakes were present. 3-Just some suggestions, not complaints. - The house has MANY light switches throughout. It would be nice if they were labeled. Also, directions for the televisions and multiple associated remote controls. -LOTS of closet space which was great, however no hangers were available. We really enjoyed the property with the exception of the snake issue….that really caused a lot of stress for us.

Family oriented

We stayed here with two little ones. The property had everything we needed. High chair, pack and play, stroller, beach wagon, umbrella and chairs, pool toys. The downfalls were the downstairs queen mattress had a huge sunken area in it and the shower made a high pitched whistling sound when using.
