You get what you pay for. The hotel is in need of major updating. When I phoned the desk about our first room smelling like vomit I was told they would send housekeeping up to "spray something to mask the smell" and was hung up on when I said this was not acceptable. When I called back the next person was happy to move us to another room. The second room smelled ok but had bugs. Also I chose this hotel because it had a pool and hot tub. The pool was warm, hot tub was cold. Pool was cloudy we did not get in. After complaining about the cold water in the hot tub-the water temperature got fixed but then the jets didn't work. There were never enough towels at pool area. You had to get them in the morning to use in the evening or they were all gone, and there was never but one or two people at pool area if any so I think they were just not stocking the towels. After asking about the popcorn machine never being used they said they only make popcorn on Fri/Sat evening but would make some for me before that if I really wanted some. Staff was fair but not too friendly. Breakfast was decent.

Upon arrival we was checked into a smoking room, a mistake on my part. The staff found us a different room with no problems.the pool and got tub was great, the kids loved it.

Nice hotel. Is a little old and show its age, but very comfortable and reasonable price.

I had problems with the air unit in our room. We were moved another room. After a medical emergency our two day visit turned into a week. They were kind and accommodating. Great breakfast.

No smoking in rooms so folks drag up a smoke can from the corner a stand out side all day and night smoking. The smoke was drawn into my room by the ac/heat unit. People next door had a puppy in the room and as soon as they left for the day it started whining, usually 6:30 am.

We were traveling with 2 cats and this is the only place that we stayed at in this area that was truly cat friendly. Every other place charges a ridiculous amount each night per cat. The Econolodge charges a $27.50 flat fee per pet up to a week..not nightly! (The Super 8 charges $20 per pet per night). Stephanie at the front desk was a pleasure to deal with. In fact everyone that we dealt with are all super friendly. The room we stayed in for 3 nights was very clean and we had no problems at all! We had heard a few negative things but trust me...I have worked for several hotels and condos over the years and this one I WOULD highly recommend to my family and friends! The breakfast is pretty awesome too!!!!!!

Our room was great. We didn't have any issues until we wandered to other parts of the property. The pool water was so opposite of clear that you couldn't see the bottom or anything below the surface. The breakfast was all gone when we arrived 1.5 hours before it was supposed to end. When I asked an employee if they would bring any more out, she told me no. What little breakfast was there was old, stale, and the oj was soured. Counters were extremely dirty and no one was trying to keep it clean. Trash cans all around the property were overflowing during the entire visit and were never emptied. Public restroom beside the office was absolutely disgusting and extremely dirty, also overflowing trash and the door knob was about to fall off.

I really liked the location. Room was very clean and staff was very helpful!

Pros:The hotel was located in a great spot for both shopping and local attractions. The room was very clean upon our return each day. Not a bad value. Cons: The room needed a few repairs the cover for the heating/cooling unit was not attached, the toilet paper holder was dislodged, and the toilet had very low water pressure. The biggest CON was upon arrival. When I entered the hotel lobby, the lady behind the counter never acknowledge I was there! I arrived around 2:30 and saw a sign written boldy stating no check-in before 4:00pm. After about a minute or two of awkward silence, I asked excuse me I see the sign, but could you tell me what room I'll be in once I check in? She replied blankly, we don't know until all the rooms have been serviced and quickly resumed her duties as if I was not standing there. It seemed strange to me since I booked the room a month before that the location of my room would not be known an 1 and half before official check in. I'm not a big complainer and can understand complications will arise. My biggest suggestion would be to hotel management that a smile and great attitude go a long way in those situations. Had that happened upon entering the hotel I never would've mentioned any cons..

Our stay was great, the people were very kind not because they had to be but because they were just kind people. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family. I would definitely love to come back this summer and many more summer vacations. I give it an overall 10 and a thumbs up.

We chose this hotel because it was a short drive to the beach and I'm pretty happy we picked this one. The room was nice, looked like it had been recently remodeled. The light in the bathroom had issues and was pretty dark in there, but that is the only thing I found wrong with the room. Oh yeah, also there was this high-pitched whistling noise that we kept hearing all night the first night we were there, which we never could figure out what it was to make it stop. The second night, a lady in the room above us somehow got locked in her room so at 1:00 am there were people using a drill, hammer, etc and beating on her door. I understand her dilemma, but we had to be on the road 4 hours later for a 15 hour drive so the fact that we were kept awake was annoying. I called the front desk and was just told it would be about 15 minutes longer (after this had been going on for 2 hours already). A discount or something would have been nice since we were there to sleep and couldn't. Pool and hot tub were great, breakfast was standard.

everything was great, great location, swimming pool very clean, rooms clean, breakfast was great every morning, services was excellent, no problems, I will stay there again

An excellent 4-night experience overall! Right on main thoroughfare, across street from Tanger Outlet Mall (exceptional!!), and, while convenient to the beaches, far enough away to allow escape from "Beach Madness." Staff uniformly professional, friendly, and eager-to-please. Good hot breakfast options, nice outdoor pool and lounging area. Parking area *very* well-lighted. Restaurants galore nearby, some within walking distance. Only minor glitch: Their single elevator was inoperative for about 24 hours, but was fixed about as fast as humanly possible. With only 3 floors (we were on 3), this was only a temporary annoyance, since it was working when we checked out.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Econo Lodge. The service was great. The rooms were clean and the price was fair. I plan to stay there again. The rooms were totally redone.

Selected based on pets welcome and location. Accommodations for pets were adequate. The location is awesome! The hotel staff had mostly flat personalities and the hotel rooms and furnishings seem old / outdated / drab.

Price was great and location too. Absolutely not one complaint about the room. Lobby very homey, and very good continental breakfast...eggs, biscuit/gravey, bagel, cereal, sausage, waffle batter, juices...super!

I usually stay in higher rated hotels but I was traveling last minute for an interview and was trying to save some money. I was not disappointed with this place. They allowed me to check in a few hours early (I had to take a really early flight to get there) which was very appreciated. They have free wi fi which has the fastest download speeds of any hotel I've stayed at (8 Mbps compared to usually 300 kilobytes/second at most others I've been at). This made it much easier to FaceTime with my family. The rooms were satisfactory. There was nothing special but the beds were comfortable and I slept great. I would have liked a few more conveniently located outlets to plug in my various electronics but that wasn't a big deal. The pool was pleasant and I loved the hot tub. Unfortunately a storm came through so I only got to enjoy it for a few minutes before the lighting got close. The free breakfast was nice. It was slightly limited but on par with the price. They had several cereals, make your own pancakes, juices, and fruit. I can't remember if there was anything else that was hot. If you are with your family this seems great. It is about 20 minutes from the beach straight down 59.

Had a nice stay at this hotel. Room was clean and that's really all that matters to me .However, I would have liked a better breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay at Foley, the breakfast was fantastic, the room was nice and we liked being close to the beaches.

Needed a place to stay while going to the annual HANGOUT Music Festival and the Econo Lodge Inn was absolutely perfect including the great price, a really sweet swimming pool that is hidden away for privacy and is relatively close proximity to the beaches and music festival. At the last minute, I needed some new comfy sandals to wear on the beach and directly across the street is the outlet mall with a particular store with great outdoor and sports wear. And next door is a 24hr WaffleHouse for a late night waffle at 3am.
