House needs major reno. Needs thorough updating and deep cleaning. This little cottage has great potential, but in its current state would not recommend or rent again. Broken clothes dryer was never repaired during our stay. Also construction next door involving heavy equipment was not very relaxing. We left a day early! The only nice thing was location to beach and view.

Beautiful Beach Setting

The setting is beautiful. The beach is soft white sand, and much of the time we were the only ones on the beach. The house was clean and the bed slept well. Only 3 stars because we have stayed in other rentals that are very much an upgrade. We loved the location of this house, but it could use a facelift - new paint, repair cupboards, etc. A table for eating out on the deck would also be a plus. That being said, the price also reflected this. This was the first place we stayed that did not supply any salt, pepper, oil, or coffee filters. We also bought beach chairs for the week we spent there. It was cheaper than renting them for the week. Sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee in the morning was delightful. Hearing the surf upon waking in the morning was also wonderful. Overall, this house served our needs for a very relaxing week.

This house was not well maintained at all. We could tell that it had been thoroughly cleaned, but were not impressed at all with the overall state of the house. There were cracks in the ceiling, soft spots in the floor, torn curtains, scratches and bite marks from animals on the blinds and trim, missing trim pieces, peeling paint, moldy sprayer at the kitchen sink, missing weather stripping at the front door, rotting deck boards by the outdoor shower, nails & screws sticking out of the deck, sticky slider door, and even a bedroom door that hardly closed.The only good things about this place were the cold AC, hot water and the private beach. This whole house needed major fixes and we were not impressed, especially given the price point.
There was a small hole in the sink next to the drain hole. The spout for filtered water at the end of the sink was not even hooked up.
There was wadded up paper towel between the cupboard and the ceiling in the kitchen.
The kitchen cupboards had peeling on every door.
Missing trim along the closet. This closet hardly shut and was filled with random stuff - a vacuum, a broken broom and other miscellaneous items that should not have been there.

Lovely area and beach. The house left A LOT to be desired. Had a huge roach in the kitchen one night. Not surprising since there were open holes under the sinks and a 2" gap below the front door. The deck had rodent feces around the edges and a LOT of screws up out of the wood all over the deck. Some up a couple of inches. Very dangerous. We've stayed at a lot of VRBO properties, this is by far the worst. A disappointment. Would definitely stay in the area again but not on this property.

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying at this charming cottage. It is practically right on the beach with nothing between us and the ocean besides sand and a convenient walkway at the foot of our driveway.The kitchen was well-appointed. We found nothing lacking. The deck was delightful at all times of the day with a breathtaking view of the ocean. Both the living room and the spacious master bedroom had sliding glass doors opening onto the deck.The bed was very comfortable, providing a wonderful night's sleep every night with the sound of the ocean outside. The extra bedroom was an added plus.The washer and dryer downstairs were in excellent condition. It was very convenient to have them available. It was a surprise to find the router downstairs in the laundry room, but that's where it is if you need to find it Best of all, the staff at Beachball Properties were VERY responsive. When we couldn't find the router, someone was out right away to help us.We absolutely loved our vacation at this lovely cottage on the beach. It was perfect for the two of us and we would definitely like to vacation there again! We'd love to stay longer next time
