We have stayed at The Beach Club for many years. Avalon has traditionally been the tower with the most updated rooms; however, we found this unit subpar. Good: The kitchen and bathrooms were clean. Basics available in the kitchen. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Not so good/preference:If you need anything specific to cook with, I would bring it to be safe. (Only basics there.)No pantry in the unit. Sheets were polyester blend and hot as blue blazes at night. The extra blankets were old and very worn out.Not ok: The master bathroom toilet made horrific sounds every time it was flushed for a few minutes. (The managing co said it was an HOA thing that they could not fix.)The bunkbed top bunk was missing two rails and one was barely hanging on. Beyond that, it was metal and had sharp edges that could have injured someone. (The managing co came and fixed it by taking off the last bar, but that left the top bunk with no bars to keep someone from rolling off.)Coffee pot did not fit coffee maker which we thankfully realized the night before as we were setting it up for auto brew. It would have been a mess the next morning because it was too short for the coffee maker. (The coffee pot was replaced the next day by managing co.)The walls had multiple marks, missing pictures, etc., so some rooms looked unfinished and like they need new paint.
