If you want a place to relax for a week, this is it. i booked the beachfront villa and it was awesome.it is away from the main city and very close to the pier for travelling to the mainland.if you dont like the market hustle and bustle, this is your place. a walk down the beach and there are a few shacks where you can buy coconut water and just relax on the hammocks. i always book 4/5 star hotels because of their service. and that is exactly what this hotel had and didnt. the staff was very kind no doubt. i had booked the room for 2 but a last minute change was made and they accommodated a third person at no extra charge. the food and the breakfast was very good. the spa also. their rooms were very good, for this price i dont think any hotel gives a beach villa although the sacrifice came at a cost.. the water pressure is very low. almost no hot water comes in the showers.. that is the ONLY problem i had. other than that very good indeed.
Stayed in beachfront room with small private pool. Loved the room, the pool, the beach, EVERY SINGLE STAFF PERSON, and the lovely dogs and kittens roaming up and down the beach (that are feed by Temple Monks) . Quiet at night no blasting disco music. Restaurant food was excellent and reasonably priced. Beachfront bar is lovely (wish floodlights were not so bright) and bar tender very eager to modify drink recipe to personal taste. On site rental motor scooters great. On site spa calls local villagers in for messages with 15 minutes notice. Excellent quality massages at attractive prices (disturbed both times by noise from resort manager's baby and child in front of spa though). Jellyfish in water kept me out of ocean, but that is seasonal and island wide.
We loved sea valley resort. It was EXTREMELY quiet so if you want hustle and bustle this is not for you. We wanted privacy and quietness and that was what we got. The staff are fantastic. Our private pool was amazing. My only negative point was that the umbrellas at the pool and the beach are too small. I'm extremely pale and need shade and they did not fully cover the beds. I lay under the tree on the beach for the whole trip instead. But it was still amazing. Breakfast was beautiful.
First and foremost, i should inform you that the location of Sea valley is not good, as it is very far from the central area, and you'd probably need to rent a car if you come with family. However, i still booked this place as i had traveled around 3 other cities before coming here and was near all the main attractions there, so wanted my last stop to be far away from everything and just relax. This is definitely the perfect place for that! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They made our stay very comfortable. The rooms were clean, spacious and impressive. Having a private pool was great but to have the beach just 15-20 steps away from my room made me feel like i was in paradise. The beach has kayaks which can be used by hotel guests free of charge. Both breakfast and room service were great. There is a mini mart just a minute away by car, and a couple of restaurants too (3, 4 minutes by car). Overall, a very peaceful environment filled with comfort, and i hope to come here again soon!
All of our previous Thai holidays have been in other parts of Thailand or on the east of Samui, so we hired a car yesterday to check out locations on the west coast, with a view to a new holiday venue next year. We walked along Lipa Noi and were blown away by the location of this place. It seemed welcoming to people from the beach, as it advertised a BbQ and music event that evening and so we asked if we could order drinks and food. The serving staff were friendly and we ordered coffees and a juice for my son, with a view to ordering lunch shortly. The coffee was pricier than average, but acceptable, and my young son enjoyed his juice. We were mildly surprised to be asked to pay immediately the drinks arrived, but let that go as it was possible the hotel has been stung by non-payers. However, we have visited or stayed at better hotels that do not do this. We were, however, further disinclined to bother staying on to order food given the evident distaste we were greeted with by the person who appeared to be the manageress. She huffed and puffed and flapped around us, did not respond to my polite compliment about the resort and was clearly agitated when discussing where we were sitting with a male (manager?) Not what I would expect from a person in the hospitality industry. We took lunch and drinks elsewhere!
Spent 3 nights and were upgraded to a villa with a private pool for free. Lovely quiet beachfront resort and infinity pool looking onto the beach. The beach also has a hammock and a swing - nice touch. Must have good hiring practices because reception staff, wait staff and kitchen staff were very friendly, service-minded and attentive. Wifi is free and strong signal throughout the entire resort - better than my home internet. Rooms are very tidy and well decorated. There were a few cons. Privacy was an issue as people are constantly walking passed and can see straight into your room and private pool area. Also, despite amazing staff, the food menu and quality needs improvement - the food at nearby restaurants had better menus and were cheaper. Overall, definitely good for a quiet stay but recommend eating food from outside.
We stayed in a villa not far from Sea Valley so visited for dinner a couple of times. The first time was a BBQ on the beach which was delicious. The staff were very attentive & we had a really lovely evening. On our second visit we ate in the restaurant & tried Thai food which we were very impressed with. Lovely family friendly resort with great staff. Thank you.
Had an amazing holiday here at Sea Valley Hotel and Spa. The villas are comfortable and clean with own private pool. The staff were exceptional and couldn't do enough for you, friendly and attentive. The food was good and the cocktails were great! The area is quiet and the beach and pool often felt like your own. Easy to travel to other parts of the island by taxi. My only complaint is the mosquitoes so a decent repellent is needed!
We stayed in the beach front villa and the sunset was out of this world. The room was clean and spacious with everything you would expect from a top class hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating, helping us with our car hire and booking excursions. We had an amazing massage from the comfort of our own sun loungers, while watching and listening to the sea lap the shore at the bottom of our garden. The good was ok, but there are plenty of nice restaurants on there island to choose from. I would highly recommend going to watch Muay Thai while in Koh Samui.
It was really hard to rate this hotel this poor as the views you get from the beach front villa are amazing but that's really all... We booked here for 8 nights of our honeymoon in hope to relax and unwind as much as possible before coming home but we were so disappointed. At check in we were greeted by a man (the owner I believe) check in was fine we got a welcome drink and showed us to our villa, which has everything you will need during your stay. What really is appalling it's the service we got, for 175e a night we expected much more but we didn't even get a tacky happy honeymoon at the check in, the treatment was a complete disappointed compared to the other hotels we stayed in during our time in Thailand. During our stay our phone wouldn't work, we noticed when we went to order room service, when reported to the reception I was kindly told to order at restaurant tonight and they'll fix it the next day. not really what room service it's all about but since I was already out the room I went and ordered at the restaurant. The food at the restaurant it's overpriced for Thailand so be prepared for European prices this didn't really bother us but if you're looking for cheap place then you will have to hire a moped for 250 baht a day or a car for 1500 baht, and you can eat in restaurants nearby for half the price. Our villa wasn't very private and we had people and children walking/running through our garden to get to the beach everyday, bit uncomfortable when you're trying to sunbathe or swim in your pool, perhaps maybe a sign or higher hedge would fix the problem. The breakfast it's fine buffet style so something to suit everyone, the breakfast staff are worth a mention as they are lovely and couldn't do more for you. The nearest 7/11 It's about 10mins from the hotel on a motorbike. Be prepared there isn't much around but that's what we were looking for to be away from all the parties and flashy lights so the location it's very peaceful which was perfect for us. WiFi was fine worked everyday. We were also made to pay for all 8 nights in advance so we couldn't even take our money elsewhere. Very disappointing stay and we wouldn't book in here again.
