The hotel offers the most stunning sunset views imaginable. The infinity pool and open blacony of our room were absolutely breathtaking. That said, if you don't like walking or are not good with steep hills, this isn't the place for you. Food and service were average, but the views and beach could make up for any lack of amenities a hundered times over.
This a five star resort which is beautifully maintained. Villas are beautiful with wonderful views, private pools etc are spread over a very wide area necessitating the use of golf carts to visit restaurants, the beach etc. There are a huge fleet of these carts which can be booked at short notice. There's still a lot of stairs and the resort would not be suitable for anyone in a wheel chair. Management were easy to deal with and responsive to requests. Great restaurants. Highly recommended.
I stayed at the Conrad Koh Samui to attend a wedding. What an incredible place. I was in a room in the 100s (which I think is one of the lesser rooms) but what a room. Every room has its own infinity pool and floor to ceiling rooms. The rooms are huge. Great beds, comfortable couch and an incredible bath. You travel everywhere in the hotel complex in golf buggies. I'd hired a car, but there's no walking to this place from anywhere. You must travel up a very steep road to get to reception. The pool is wonderful and they've got some fun stuff on the beaches like hammocks and pontoons. The breakfast views are sensational. You are at an extremity of Koh Samui and I was grateful for my car to go exploring. Wedding was also unforgettable. Most expensive hotel I've stayed in, but it delivered.
My fiancé and I stayed for four nights in September. On one hand, we had a great time spending time together at an absolutely stunning property. The villas and views are beautiful! On the other hand, the service was so bad that it would make me re-think ever staying at a Conrad again, much less recommending this resort to anyone. Overall, the staff is just extremely inattentive. We had a slow and confusing check-in process, were largely unable to get buggies anywhere on the property, and simply could not get any help when we asked. For example, we had frogs in our villa when we arrived, and despite calling the front desk over the course of a few hours to ask for help, no one ever came. We ended up having to move all the furniture around and trap the frogs ourselves. It was also impossible to get a towel at the main pool - the stand was always out and the staff never brought new towels, even when asked. After being unable to get a buggy to come and pick us up, we opted to walk to the front desk ourselves (it is a lot of steep hills to climb in the heat), and tons of staff members drove by us in buggies, but never once offered us a lift - even when we tried to waive them down. Overall, no one is rude, just inattentive. The above complaints sound like a spoiled traveler, I am just surprised that at this price point, the staff is not more helpful. We went to a much less "fancy" hotel in Cambodia after staying at the Conrad, and it was honestly a relief to get some human interaction and helpfulness! On a last note, the beach was also largely unusable because there was broken glass everywhere and unsafe to walk on.
Very nice room with signiture infinity pool. The view from the room for sunrise and sunset is very stunning. Staff are always smile and very helpful for any kinds of questions and inquiries. Overall is an excellent stay!
Thank you to the wonderful staff at Samui Conrad; we had the most wonderful and relaxing stay and we hope to return again for another beautiful holiday. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone who needed a good relax. The spa is to die for!!!!
My husband and I enjoyed 5 wonderful nights here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Very relaxing and tucked away from life’s stresses. Staff and food are amazing. Loved that our villa had its own pool. We will return!!
We had a 7 night Luxury Escapes package in a Oceanview Pool Villa which included daily breakfast, dinner, manages, cocktails etc. This property is built on a very steep hillside which gives every room stunning views out to several small islands with the mainland in the distance. The views really are stunning &, with their elevation, the rooms are both open & private at the same time. Our room was perfect with a nice size pool & outdoor area where we spent most of our time during the day. We were lucky that it was on the same level as the main restaurant so only a very short flat walk. For rooms on other levels buggy rides were readily available so not really a problem. The food was generally very good although we found there was a bit of confusion around which menu was applicable to Luxury Escapes guests but quickly sorted. Our dinner at Jahn (Thai restaurant) was beautiful. It should be said that this resort is a long way from anywhere being at the opposite end of the island to Chaweng, Bophut & the airport. There is absolutely nothing else to do in the surrounding area so be prepared for luxurious isolation. We tried a boat trip to a local beach which was a huge disappointment. We were actually surprised that a property of this standard would offer such a pathetic activity. Don't bother - just stay at the resort. Overall highly recommended for just indulging & relaxing which worked well for us. Don't miss Happy Hour.
The hotel was very good and very clean, the stuff very helpfull. The food was excellent and they have several restaurant.I would for sure recommend it.The weather was nice no rain at all.We stayed one week in the resort and it pass so quickly.
We wanted to have a sunset cocktail and early dinner so we decided to drive like 30 mins across the island to be here. We even made a reservation in advance but when we arrived they did not accept outside guests so they said fully booked in every lounge and restaurants. To be honest, as a Conrad standard, your staff is quite rude to us, I didn’t want to say unfriendly. I marked Conrad as my list for the next trip but to be honest, it won’t happen and I will tell all my friends about this. I am very disappointed!
