"Good clean rooms on the stamp of premier inn/travelodge. Rooms in a building next to the pub. The pub itself was very nice inside. Next to a main road so some road noise. Breakfast was average."

"Lovely weekend in Whitby at the Royal Hotel. Excellent location overlooking the sea front and we had upgraded our room which offered the most amazing sea views and had recently been refurbished. "Looked after extremely well. Not certain about the lack of amenities in the double room for disabled people. Nowhere to hang bathroom robes or wash bags and for a non-disabled person the wash basin was extremely low, small and difficult as an older person to use."

"Lovely accomodations in pub with handy location. Room nice size, clean and friendly staff. It is above a pub so might need ear plugs if want total quiet. Also no one on site overnight and separate back door entrance after hours, which is now by an outdoor bar for summer."
