Quite remote location on Manhanock Pond, in Parkman Maine. Our Main house and Bunk house share the same 18 acres and 1/4 mile of waterfront. Manhanock and Harlow Ponds are managed as one body of water. Fish pass freely under a bridge on the causeway that separates the ponds. The ponds provide a popular fishery for white perch for boat anglers and for shore anglers from the causeway. Pickerel and the two basses provide summer-long fishing. The ponds are open to ice fishing. The town of Parkman is in the center of Maine, with 843 residents. We have one local store, but don’t worry the surrounding towns have plenty to offer
Parkman is small town with great scenery. You can travel roads both paved and dirt in most any vehicle.

Traveling with Older Adults
My husband and I absolutely loved this location. The view is spectacular and the property is immaculate. I would caution anyone traveling with older adults or very young children, there are a lot
of stairs—in the house and down to the water. My father in-law claimed climbing up from the lake to the house was equivalent to climbing the Eiffel Tower. (It’s not, but you get his point.)
We would stay again in a heartbeat!

Great place for a get away!!
I went to snap dragon with a large group of young adults. Everyone had a great time. We had a fire on the patio and took out the kayaks and canoe. We made a huge pasta dinner for everyone in the large kitchen. People played bocci and I went for a nice long run around the adjacent area. It was beautiful with the leaves turning, A great place to go to spend time with loved ones.
