we loved our stay in the Game Room. Tina and Mark are wonderful hosts and the history of this fine old estate brings one back to the time when craftsmanship was meaningful. Dexter is a great location to tour the entire state of Maine.

Spent a night in the Truman room. Bed and pillow were so comfortable. Hosts were very friendly and gracious. I loved the historic decor and delicious breakfast of baked frenchtoast, fruit salad, boiled eggs, coffee, tea and juice. Would stay here again.

We had last minute flight changes that brought us to Portland Maine instead of Presque Isle. That meant we had an unexpected 8 hour road trip ahead of us after a overnight red eye. Two hours into our drive north we realized we were exhausted and couldn't find any hotels available. My sister went on line and found The Brewster Inn who had 2 rooms miraculously still available. She contacted Mark and asked for a bottle of wine to be waiting to calm our nerves, Mark Met us at the door at 8pm with a smile and True Maine Hospitality. The Inn was PERFECT...Elegant and Inviting,,,with comfy beds!! The next morning Mark and Tina served an amazing breakfast and saw us on our way. our only problem? We were sad to leave!!Wish we could have spent another night or two!!

This was my first time staying at a B&B and I am happy I stayed here. Mark and Tina were friendly, accommodating, and great to our kids (which is most important to us!) Our room was clean, comfortable, and we enjoyed the options of games and books in our room. Breakfast was delicious, and it was one of my favorite parts because of the view of the garden while we ate. My 2 young children were thrilled at every bird that flew by and my partner ended up outside walking the grounds before breakfast was over. Mark helped us figure out what things we wanted to do while staying, which made our day super easy. We honestly had a great first time in Maine, thanks to the Brewster Inn! We'll definitely return again!

If you are in this area, the Brewster Inn is a lovely place to stop. The “Hosts” are warm and friendly and most accommodating. It is a charming old home with a lot of Maine history. The garden out back is peaceful and colorful and provides a lovely place for your morning coffee or tea. The breakfast following was delicious. Carolyn and Al Land

Not necessarily first choice place for a construction worker to stay while out of town, especially when working on a dirty site. However that speaks nothing ill of the establishment and its hosts. The place is a beautiful space and the room I was in was a very relaxing place to spend my overnight hours, and Mark and Tina made me feel welcomed and right at home. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling through the area and looking for a bit of antique Bed and breakfast.

This Inn and it's marvelous keepers is a gem nestled in a quiet inviting part of Maine. After our third stay this summer, this place has begun to feel like a second home. My mother and I look forward to coffee in the lovely garden... a warm welcome from Mark and Tina... and relaxing among the tall trees of Maine. Somehow they have managed to make each room in this large house, feel like a cozy retreat. The pillows and sheets are clean and comfy... and the decor will keep you snooping around for hours. Our favorite rooms are the honeymoon suite and the game room... but most importantly, all rooms lead to breakfast! If you are lucky, you will stay when Tina makes strawberry bread, or the incredible sausage breakfast bake. Be sure to ask Mark about any detail... he is an encyclopedia of information. My only regret anytime I stay at the Brewster, is that my stay isn't longer. ENJOY!

We came to Dexter on the way to the north woods. It is a sleepy and quiet town but the Brewster Inn is a gem. With a beautiful and large historic house the property is well kept and it is worth a stay. The owner is very knowledgeable about beer and we enjoyed a good discussion about some he had found and enjoyed. The rest of the place is decently appointed with some exhibits on history in the sitting room. There is a nice playground nearby at the neighborhood school.

This is a wonderful hotel in Dexter providing very comfortable and clean accommodation. Mark and Tina are first class inn keepers offering an excellent personal service. The breakfast in the morning is also very good. Highly recommended.

We went to Northern Maine to pick up a Goldendoodle puppy. After viewing the available motel options in the are, we ran across The Brewster Inn. It is located in Dexter, a small Maine town that has seen better days. The inn is located just outside of town on a hill. It is a recently restored mansion of a former US Senator. The inn keepers met us, explained the inn and led us to our room - which they had already cooled anticipation our arrival on an extremely hot day. We had a small suite with lots of room. The hot and cold breakfast the next day was delicious and prepared us for the day. We wholeheartedly recommend this inn should you find yourself nearby.
