This hotel lobby and rooms are very classy. Staff is very helpful and goes above and beyond to ensure guests have a memorabe experience. Various options to dine on premesses including Italian and local cuisine. My room was great with a bedroom and living room area and they had a basket of fruits they would replenish every day!
Ritz-Carlton is not the newest and most fashion luxury one in this area. To be honest, I stayed in 3 luxury hotels in this area this time. Ritz-Carlton is the most comfortable one both in physical and mental. Like the amenities in the bath room is just right at your fingertips, for tight schedule business woman, it save my time in the bathroom, really happy. The shower pressure and temperature were also just right to me. (I had bad shower experience in another luxury one) And the bed linen impressed me, very close to the skin with elegant printing. When you open the duvet, just “Wow, so nice” in my heart, isn’t that wonderful when you travelling? Rebecca and Nic in Front Desk were so sweet for my checked in & out, cared my feeling and impressed by their kind and lovely smile, just like my younger sister welcome me home. And everybody in the lobby is greeting and helping, even it might not be their duty, they still very would love to help! That’s so sweet and warm! (In one luxury, I asked the concierge to help me to connect with sales, he pushed me to the front desk agent, who was just next to him) I understand the other luxury hotels in this area is new design, fashion and modern. But compared with details, Ritz-Carlton still win. I do not know how Ritz-Carlton people work out, but they just know their clients from heart! Really appreciate everyone’s hard working in the hotel, to keep this 10 year hotel comfortable and rememberable!
Not my first time at this Hotel. No complaints ever except this time the manager charged me to check in early. I landed 5am as Always and arrived at the hotel at 6:30am. They never charged me before and I was upset. So far everything is perfect as always.
Stayed at Ritz Carlton for a mix of business and tourism. The rooms are beautiful and so is the large and decadent lobby area. The gym facilities are great, even with a Pilates exercise room. The pool is big enough for swimming laps and they even put lane ropes out for this. The buff breakfast is excellent, with a great range of both western and eastern foods, allowing you to try something unusual if you so desire. The are always many staff around to help you and are all very attentive. All staff in lobby area and restaurant speak fluent English so can easily help travellers. The location is great next to the large park areas (great for a morning run) and the museum. Up the road is winter plaza which has luxury shopping brands but also on lower ground floor has a big supermarket / grocery store for all of your needs, including alcohol at a reasonable price. We had a function room booked for day workshops and everything was run excellent with very attentive event staff looking after us. This hotel does have an executive lounge, but I didn't get that room level for this trip, but know a lot of people look for this when travelling. Based on the rest of the hotel I imagine it would be very lovely. There is nothing I can fault on this hotel. A very relaxing time for tourism, and great facilities and service for business.
Ritz Carlton obviously is a brand know for luxury, which is also the case at the Guangzhou location. It's my first time at an Asian Ritz Carlton, must say that the personalized service and the high attention to guests needs is excellent at this location. I really felt at home and many staff members know me by name (this is amazing actually). The hotel is very comfortable, although I guess in 1 or 2 years they could do with some reworks to get the hotel up-to-date with current needs and levels of technology available. Location is about 20 minutes by car from the Canton Fair, which is very good. Great restaurants in the hotel, and all other facilities are also very good. All in all, will be back next time around in Guangzhou
I was here 3 days on business. I booked a club room - I thought. They offered the upgrade for only 800cny/night and moved me to a suite on the top floor. With meals and drinks I feel I came out ahead. I never did buy a meal while in town. Breakfast was great, very good selections. Dinner was equally great with excellent selections, good quality and different every day. Service was Ritz class at all time. Staff was very friendly and English was good. Better than what I have to listen to in the US at times. Room had plenty of space, comfortable desk and a good view. Bed was equally comfortable without any sink holes. I enjoy the coffee pods and tea was also available in the room. Wood floor was squeaky, but it had a home feel to me. Very reasonable rate for what you get and free shuttle to the Canton Fair.
The hotel renovated in Ritz style but modern, didn't feel old. Located in very center of Guangzhou with nice restaurants around the area. Front desk service is very efficience and nice, very helpful. Thanks. Room is clean and with good view, breakfast is great, many options, I couldn't tried them all even stay for few days. Definitely come back again soon.
Stayed two nights in September at an executive room. Everything is so good - food is delicious, services are top-notch, the view outside is a million bucks with the Canton Tower and Pearl River almost touchable. The staff remembers your room settings and styles and tries to set it up every night to your liking. Everyone is so well-trained and professional. The only downside is the hotel lobby is a lot smaller than other Ritz Carlton Hotels around the world. But it doesn't affect my top rating to this fantastic hotel in Guangzhou.
the hotel is well located near some interesting architecture. if not for my view of the Hadid opera house i would have hated the place. very over the top Ritz C design. the bar was loaded with cigar and cig smoke which can't be help by the hotel but bothersome none the less. the food at the bar was mediocre. the pool was lacking in amenities and service as was the men's locker area. the steam room was a fiberglass insert. breakfast was not included and the buffet was the worst i had experienced in China.
The hotel is beautiful and the service is impecable, the breakfast buffet has something for everyone, very close to important business towers. People are amazingly accommodating and almost all speak English, please note that in this hotel it is important to leave a tip, being high end and used to tourists
