I would of gave this hotel 5 stars but the room really let it down.... The recipition area was lovely, first impressions count and the recipition did just that..it was lovely, very clean and looked great! Staff was on help and they did just that...BUT we told that our non-smoking room was not ready (I don't know he reason why not), but I was told that smoking rooms were ready it we wants them...we were in the country for business and didn't have much time tomwait about so I told them the smoking rooms would be fine. I got the key card and ran up to my room to thrown down my suitcase quickly before leaving to attend my business meeting as time was limited. I didn't have a propper look in my while, I just lictually threw down my suitcase and left. As I returned that evening I entered the room and went to turn on the light, noticing that there wasn't even a light switch to turn on!!! My bedroom did not have a light on the selling!!!! Instead there was 3 lamps in my room, when turned on full they were very dim!!! I collected the lamps together and placed them together to at least have one part of the room light up, but as the lamps were so dim it didn't really happen 😐. So I had to deal with it....I had to have my main curtains and net curtains pulled all the way open to let light from the opposite buildings come into my room. Once dealing with the light issue I then went into the bathroom to have shower. I was in shock with the condition of the shower area. The shower was extremely dated, the shower dead could not move or be adjusted, but fine I had to deal with it... Then I noticed the shower curtain, I actually could not believe the contidion of it! I was very VERY dirty, it had old orange stains all over it which I could it believe was urin and stains from not being cleaned properly or regularly. It was obviously a very cheap shower curtain so I told understand why the hotel doesn't replace them.....anyway I had to shower so I did. The next morning I went down for breakfast, and the breakfast was lovely and they had a 'western' area and it was great, I was very VERY happy with breakfast. Later that evening back in my room I notice it did not have a iron in it, and I was unable to get one.... But the hotel was nice but my room was one star. I have no idea if this was because it was a smoking room or not but the room was a major let down.

This is a relatively old property at the heart the city. The property is well maintained and close to a subway station. Commuting to various parts of the city is very convenient by subway. Close to various attractions of the city. Plenty of decent restaurants are nearby this property. Spacious rooms, decent amenities and internet. Breakfast was little below par but no complaints. Staff is well trained and courteous. Didn't had any problem in communicating. Offline version of google translate and subway map guide comes handy. Better download it before coming to china because google you tube Facebook viber and whatsapp all are banned here. Even v chat can't be activated easily even if you buy a local sim.

around the hotel. many bus, texi and MTR near the street. the hotel very clear, bright and good service. it 's quiet and comfort.if next, i till choose the hotel.in the hotel my boyfriend give me a surprise .frist he kiss me then he ask me that i should marry him.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights for attending the Canton Fair exhibitions, the hotel provide shuttle bus service to the venue which is out of my expectation, the location is excellent which MTR and plenty of restaurants and convenient stores surround, the down side is really the internet speed and the showering part is not functioned well, not good maintenance..

The Rosedale Hotel and Suites in Guangzhou conveniently located in Guangzhou and just a 15 minute taxi ride from Guangzhou East train station and a 45 minute taxi ride from the International airport. At the time of posting this it costs ¥35 for the taxi to and from the train station and ¥130 for the taxi to or from the airport. Do not use Taxi touts at either the train station or airport as you will pay significantly higher charges and could even be dangerous for you to do so e.g. Uninsured etc, The hotel itself is supposed to be a four star international rating. In my opinion it fails to reach this standard. However, breakfast was not that interesting and although there was a good selection of foods, the quality and service was lacking. Our room was on a none smoking floor yet we could immediately smell the stale stench of tobacco. The carpets throughout are in need of a good clean. They are badly worn and stained throughout the hotel. There is also that smell about the hotel corridors that lets your nose know the carpets need sanitizing. Our room was well equipped but alas no bottle opener. The mini bar is not stocked but you can order it to be stocked if you wish. Two bottles of drinking water are provided each day free of charge as are two sachets of instant coffee mix and two tea bags. The TV has a good selection of tv channels. The bathrooms were quite nice but only one toilet roll supplied. There was no shampoo of body wash gel or bath foam supplied at all. The lighting in the room was sub standard. Although plenty of lights, the bulbs are very low wattage and the room too gloomy and difficult to do any business work on the computer. Although we could get a wifi signal free of charge, it is not high speed as advertised and also more often than not you cannot upload or download anything anyway. This in my opinion is the number one failure in the hotel e.g. Extremely poor wifi provision. Although I would book a room again if I got an exceptional rate, I believe I would choose a different hotel on my next visit to Guangzhou.

Room was smoky which is due to along past of smoking being allowed in rooms. The room & facilities need to be upgraded. For Western customers you must have more than just Chinese tea available in the rooms, esp coffee. Room service was okay.. Better meal than the Resturant but also expensive. Everything is getting old. If you want return customers you need to start doing this asap. Reception staff need to practice more English as they only understood basic English & found it difficult to speak & in fact they need to becareful not to cause offence to customers by speaking Chinese as some of "us" understand alot but not confident to speak... but "Surprisingly" it was the older staff that spoke & understood more English. Resturant staff need to be more attentive... Since I was travelling & eating alone, the reception asked if I was sure I wanted the buffet & told the price.... I was then shown to a separate area & effectively dined alone. Also staff did not approach me at all, even though they knew my ability to understand chinese was very limited. The price was also very expensive, considering I could of when to Resturant's close by & eat better quality meal for half the price with better get service. The only really good point was the manager at the concierge... He was brilliant & his English was very.. Always explained everything well.

This is the first impression when you arrive at the Hotel.Smell like a new Hotel. It is difficult to find it in the beginning, because it is all new, so that the taxi drivers are poorly prepared. But with Chinese young enthusiasm, it's all going to be good. The reception staff are very friendly, although reception is very small for that amount of people. All the services I've been looking for me have made. They sent the package by a fast mail. I got the package, too. I left the suitcase for a few days.I will be back soon.

The hotel was located next to the Changgang station (exit C2) and I guess that is the only good point that I can talk about the hotel. The buffet breakfast was ok with little change in variety from day to day. The hotel definitely needed some reno. The room was a bit dim and the bath tub was leaky. I would suggest that they do away with the bath tub and convert it to a shower cubicle. But what really peeved me off were i) the hotel's wifi was not working (and yet the staff still had the cheek to blame my phone for the failure) and ii) for some unknown reason, they locked the fridge (which had only two bottles of evian mineral water) and i had to call the reception twice before they sent someone to unlock it.

I went to China this summer and visited few cities. The best among others is this hotel. Spacious room, clean, delicious and complete breakfast. Location wise also very near with wallmart. You can shop till you drop. But too bad the lighting in the room is very poor.

This hotels best days are way behind it. There were cockroaches in my room. The whole place smells of smoke. The gym is in a maze and opening hours are short. The lift waiting time in the morning can be anything up to 20 minutes so get a low floor room if you have any appointments you need to keep. Didn't have breakfast though can't imagine it would be worth waking up for. Only saving g grace is it is next to a subways station and there are Starbucks and other fast food downstairs. Avoid if possible.
