I have stayed several times in this hotel. Always a good clean room. Ideal for overnight business trips. They can improve the check-in process, it was very slow this time and they gave me a room that was occupied... Yes, guests still in the room when I opened. This was fixed right away and no further problems with the stay. Location is excellent across the shopping mall and many restaurants close by.
There was one person in front of me when I checked in and it was ten minutes later before someone else came and checked me in. My actual check-in was fairly quick once the second clerk showed up. The room was nice and clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The shower had very low pressure and the water did not get very hot. I did like the soap and shampoo used at this hotel.
Hotel was clean and modern, breakfast was good. Has a workout room and conference room. Most of the staff spoke English as well as Spanish. Beds were hard. Convenient location to shopping and restaurants.
Very good, the only problem my second name is not Chavez, thats my assitant last name, please make correction on my next visit. Is a good hotel for business matter, with famliy is too small, but is nice. Thanks
This City Express is a good alternative for a quick overnight stay in Irapuato. The staff is well educated, very friendly. As always in these low budget hotels you should not be expecting too much. But what is offered is enough to make your stay worthwhile. I needed a crip (baby) in the middle of the night. En this was armed in no-time. The internet is slow. For regular web pages there is no problem. But when you start looking at pictures or movies it won't be loading. Access to the web is easy, and fortunately after leaving and coming back, the settings are remembered so you don't have to log in again. The room is clean. The beds are hard. But not even that bad. The problem in the rooms is the noice. The walls are very thin. This is ridiculous! The bathroom has all necessary equipment. But the water pressure is bad, the shower therefore is a bit irritating. The tap in the bathroom is annoying as well. The water comes out a bit weird wetting you when opening the tap too much. The breakfast, which is included, is as expected. Not a lot of quality here. But surprisingly there is some variance. This type of breakfast is good enough to have something in the stomach. In the end there is a Starbucks around the corner and a big mall with all kinds of meal options. All in all, if you don't expect too much this is an excellent hotel especially if your stay is short. It is definitely worth the money.
Location is really convenient just in from of the Cibeles Mall, Starbucks, and other restaurants and banks. I would say this is the best value of this hotel. They are in renovations and bathrooms improved. I went there for business purpose because location is the best to my job activities but was booked by my company. Prices are very affordable. I would not choose this hotel for a personal trip or tourism. Is not also a hotel for a family, only to sleep for working trips in which you only use it to sleep at night but consider that walls are really thin, just like paper, so you can hear all details of the conversations of the other rooms, specially in those connected rooms. Wifi works some times, no perfect service but it is free. Breakfast buffet ( continental) very simple, is included in the fee so at least you can take something before leaving to work. There are no other services.
I stayed only one night in this hotel, but enough to decide not to repeat the experience.. The location is very good, in the middle of the heart of Irapuato restaurants and shopping centers. The problem started with checking in, they did not have my reservation on their system, after a while finally they decided to go ahead and give me a room. The room was not what I reserved, but considering this was very late, I just decided to go to sleep. The condition of the room in general was decent but you can tell maintenance is required.
We stayed in Hotel City Express 2 nights in February. Our room was quite big, comfortable and clean. Bathroom was also clean and big enough. Breakfast was abundant, with a wide variety of foods (fruits, pancake, bread, sauseges etc). The staff was really nice and helpful, the only problem was that some of them could not really speak English and communication was a little bit difficult. They offer a very could service: take the guests to the bus station what was a big help for us.
This is a nice, convenient hotel if you are in Irapuato, Guanajuato. Irapuato is a more modern city than Guanajuato and it's very close to a fine Argentine Steakhouse and not too far from the entertainment strip. The hotel was clean and had wi-fi. The staff was very courteous and responsive. Buffet style breakfast is included with the room. Offerings are coffee, juice, pancakes/waffles, breakfast cereal and I think scrambled eggs. I would definitely recommend it and I will stay there the next time I'm in Irapuato. It also has its own parking lot. Note: the city is Irapuato and the state is Guanajuato. Trip Advisor must update that.
Although it has a great location, few restaurants outside, Starbucks, and a shopping mall (which were the main reasons I stayed there) there are a few cons about the hotel, first the wifi is really bad, second there is no room service, you have to go out or order to your room form a nearby restaurant which is kind of tedious when you are tired and want to eat ASAP, also the breakfast is continental (too little breakfast for my taste). After all the rooms are nice, I stayed in a suite and had a microwave, minibar, etc. BUT the window in my room didn't close entirely so i could hear noises a night.
