It’s my eighth time here and they never disappoint Food is excellent. Racael is amazing in the dining room, need to give her a raise, and Max as always is very entertaining and friendly along with the rest of the staff.

Review of RIU Palace Costa Rica ⭐⭐☆☆☆ I stayed at the RIU Palace Costa Rica and honestly left disappointed. A few things really need to be called out: • Food & Water Issues: I got sick during my stay, which I believe was from the food and/or water. Definitely not what you want to deal with while on vacation. • False Advertising: The resort promoted a 24/7 sports bar/club and a casino, but both were under construction with no alternative nightlife or entertainment offered in exchange. This felt misleading since these amenities were a big reason I booked. • Condition of the Resort: The back area by the pool was in rough shape—sections looked like rubble, giving parts of the property an unfinished and neglected feel. • Positive Note: The one highlight was the staff. They were genuinely friendly, welcoming, and did their best despite the shortcomings of the resort itself. Overall, while the people were great, the experience didn’t match what was advertised. Between getting sick, amenities being unavailable, and parts of the resort looking rundown, I can’t recommend this property in its current state.

At first I was skeptical because you always hear mixed reviews about a RIU hotel, but turns out this hotel was great. Wonderful staff especially a big shout out to Denzel who was truly an amazing bartender, we went to him every night for our drinks when at the shows, he was very attentive & knew our order every time. Also had a favorite bartender by the pool Nathan who was great. The water park was a plus such a great time. I would definitely want to return when the sister hotel is back open as I heard there is even more to do when both are available.

this is a beautiful property and country to visit. The road to the hotel could be better. It’s fixing a lot of pot holes for 20 minutes to the hotel

It’s an ok Hotel, the room service and restaurants need a lot of work. They said no reservations but every night every restaurant was reserved early if you didn’t arrive by a certain time, so if you had excursions that would basically exclude you out of eating anywhere but the Buffet. The food needs a lot of work and the restaurant situation as well, overall it’s an alright resort for the price, RIU being such a big name can definetky do better.

Overall this is a great hotel. The restaurants are not as hard to get into as i was expecting but you do have to get in line early-depending on your taste the food options may not be for you at the restaurants. I loved the staff-one of the days the music by the pool was not kid friendly. but overall a great place

It was a great hotel for me and my family. We had a really good time and there was a lot of things to do. The pools were nice and the restaurants were great. I love that we were really close to the adventure park, and it was a short ride to Coco Beach (another popular spot). The service was great too!

We were deceived w the resort credits, really looking forward to a couples massage only to find out it was only a small amount put toward certain amenities. Our room had a musty moldy feel and smell to it and both my wife and i got sick from it during our 7 night stay. Overall a great experience though.

Wonderful food and staff was amazing. Always happy and eager to help. Made accommodations for food as well. Always cleaned the rooms early in the morning and had fun activities to do every day.

My room was dirty. There was hair in the shower, there was mildew all over the shower and sink and edge. You could also see the mold growing on the walls. It looks like it was painted over but you can see it bleeding through the white paint. The food in the buffet was Luke warm, never hot. Rice was dry. The food at the alacart restaurants wasn’t that good either. I would not go back to this hotel or any other riu in the future. The staff was nice and the pool area was good as well, that was the only good thing.

The hotel was good, but our key card was deactivated every time we went out of the room . Very annoying to have to keep getting it activated and it wasn’t because of electronic devices. The entertainment could have been more exciting.
