• Guestrooms are ridiculously tiny, feel like you’re stuck in a camper van. We got a family room, seemingly suitable for four, but couldn’t imagine staying there for several nights on holidays without being depressed. • No soundproofed walls, you can hear everything happening in the neighbouring rooms. • Gardens and landscaping areas are pretty well-maintained. • The food selection at the breakfast buffet in the main restaurant was below standard, limited choice and average quality of food. The tables in the restaurant during breakfast are not set at all, left empty, you just get everything you need yourself from the buffet (incl. cutlery, plates, etc…). Feels like taking a meal at the staff canteen. • The entertainment program and leisure activities seem to be organised regularly for tourists not looking for top-notch activities.
We stayed there just one night to be close to the airport and was surprised by how nice it was for what I paid. I would stay there again. There was a nice beach and entertainment out by the bar. Seemed to be full of retired people.
Club Viva Marina was a late substitute for another hotel in Porticcio and came as a less than pleasant surprise. The accommodation is in 4 storey blocks around a central restaurant reception bar entertainment area, with rather bleak approaches. We were first offered a room on the top floor, no lift. The replacement was on the ground floor approached across an unattractive courtyard, and quite dark, though quiet and not affected by the nightly music which went on till very late (5am on one occasion). The room was basic and not clean enough. 2 ants nests, shabby blankets, a decaying banana hanging on the balcony wall and an empty spirit bottle wedged behind the A/C unit. Toiletries and towels were not replaced when needed. and Reception seemed very casual about any problems. No chairs on the balcony. Breakfast and dinner served in a large buffet restaurant; noisy but efficiently staffed and the meals were acceptable, perhaps even above standard for this type of large buffet operation. The gardens were fairly unkept; we did not use the pool but it appeared adequate and popular.
We stayed at the apartment for two nights at the beginning of May. It was very basic. The sofa was full of stains, on the refrigerator is rust. There was a smell of moisture all the time. It was very cold at the apartment at night and not enough blankets. The complex was already full of people, so there was pretty loud. The pool looks nice, but we couldn't use it, because it was raining all the time. The receptor said that the water is heated to 19 degrees. Location is good, nearby is long beach ( no natural shade ), many shops, restaurants and one supermarket. Ajaccio is also not far away. In my opinion there are many better places to stay in Corsica for the same price, so I don't recommend this one.
This is a large well managed complex some distance from Ajaccio. Direct access to the beach, and good facilities in the grounds, e.g. swimming pool, table tennis,etc.. Many self catering apartments set in garden ground, mainly on the other side of a busy road.Large self service restaurant provides good and varied food. Entertainment in the evening. Recommended for a beach holiday, with a range of daily expeditions available.. Ample parking, although not , I think, at the actual apartments, so a fair amount of walking required.
In the bay of Ajaccio, in the resort town of Porticcio. The hotel is on the beach and has several blocks of accommodation joined by pathways through the grounds and wooden walkways. Rooms are up to 3 floors high( no lift) ..some of the higher rooms have sea views. The hotel also has chalets accommodation on the opposite side of the road to the hotel and they sell these as hotel rooms ...the chalets are spread amongst nice gardens and pathways and good standard but do need to cross road to main hotel for the restaurant. Food is good buffet style with a good selection and a different theme each night. Rooms are modern, fresh and good standard ..the pool area is good.
A very nice sea resort with lots of trees and green areas. The sea is close - not so many people at it, very clean water and sandy beach. The limited number of sunbeds - free of charge. Rooms very small and simple, a lack of place where to put off your clothes, no chairs (only 2 plastic chairs on the balcony), no fridge. Too little space. Food: we were very satisfied, it was rich and varied with fantasy. Sometimes too many guests waiting for placing at rush hours. Animations: very good especially for children, a little bit worse for adults or older people. The resort is situated near the capital (Ajaccio) - there are lots of shopping possibilities and historical places of interest The sea and the beach - very nice, but not suitable for very small children - the water is quite deep very close to the entrance to the sea. Some room suffered from huge noise coming from the city disco (till 5-6 in the morning every day). The hotel knows about it, but they will not tell you about it - of course :-) Insist on a room where you will not be disturbed during the night.
It's a good hotel in Corsica you have the possibility to choose a room or an apartment. We've chosen the room. It was very space fully and clean, the room is cleaned every day, for the apartment I don't know how it's going. There are a lot of parking places so you don't have to Witt if you come with a car. At the reception everybody is nice and willing to help. The location of the hotel is pretty perfect you are not far from the most beautiful beaches of Corsica, last year we've chosen a hotel near Ajaccio and I admet that this year the location was even better. You have a lot of restaurants, bars and souvenirs shops a few minutes from the hotel so you don't need to take the car at night to go out and eat that was a very good point.
The hotel was situated on a lovely beach (in Porticcio) and not to far from Ajaccio. Nice pool and restaurant. Unfortunately, we do not speak or understand french well so could not make use of many of the activities. Example, the children's club, the nightly shows etc. The staff mostly made attempts to make us feel welcomed especially reception, the restaurant manager and hostesses, and Julien from the animation team.
If you have kids, that's your place, from 08:00 to midnight. If not, run away!!! Rooms very basic, no frigo-bar, small beds, little space. Place and environment superb. Restauration is excellent and rich. Beware, all inclusive includes wine but not mineral water at the table... Many other exclusions. Personnel is friendly but insufficient on rush hours. Potentailly could be a great place, but needs better management.
