This is a typical residence inn. It is well maintained and clean. The staff is great, very accommodating. The evening mix is quite nice as is the lady who hosts it. The hotel is located near a lot of restaurants and shops. Very convenient to the airport.
Young woman at reception was very polite and helpful. Rooms were clean and Comfortable. Beds were great. Breakfast was typical, eggs were dry. The only real problem was the internet. I had a corporate meeting to present to and could not do business. I tried to connect and the login screen hung for 5-10 minutes. I tried the premium internet and was unable to sustain a connection. We tried connecting in different points of the hotel. Occasionally we would get a connection but then would get dropped. I tried the support 877 number, and they tried to manually connect me but they were unable to resolve the issue. To Management, the problem is in your router / network setup and the 877 support number told me they would call me back and never did. The funny thing was I could get high speed up, but horrible connection down. If you want to hang out and watch TV the hotel is fine. Do not expect to be able to conduct business here until this is resolved.
We had a meeting there in the morning and stayed overnight. The people at the hotel were incredible. Carol at the front desk has a great personality and a very welcoming way about her. She went out of her way to make sure everything was set up and really took great care of us. So much about the experience is the people who work at a hotel and I have to say that everyone we came in contact with was phenomenal. I would recommend this hotel for the people alone.
Stayed here before my son's visit of Furman. It was completely full, so my son had to sleep on the pullout couch. It looked (and he said it was) very uncomfortable. During check-in, someone's kid was laying across the desk the entire time, even though no one else was checking in or around. Room was clean. Pillows needed to be replaced.
We had to go to Greenville for a wedding and stayed at this hotel. Front desk was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and enjoyable..good space. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit as well, very cool! Overall no complaints, had a great stay.
This hotel offers super clean, spacious, pet-friendly rooms that are similar to an apartment vs. a hotel room. The staff here are fantastic and very accommodating. Quorie and Jubril that work at the front desk are awesome as well as Maurice the housekeeper. This place is definitely worth the price!
I used to love Marriot's Residence Inns because the ones in Florida seem to be a step above the ones you find in South Carolina and Georgia. I have stayed six different ones in those two states alone and this one is in the same mold. The walls are thin so you can hear your neighbor talking in normal tones, though, I guess that can be fun at times. Your neighbors above you, you can hear every step they make unless you have the television up high enough to drown out the sound. I had a problem with the television in my room being garbled not showing a clear pic or sound and called to have it fixed. They came pretty quick right as I was heading out the door. I came back later that day and it still had the same problem. No one called to check if it was fixed and I figure I shouldn't have to keep calling them about the same problem, so customer service is a bit lean at this location. The bed was probably the worst bed I have had since I started going to hotels when I was younger. It seemed like a foam bed and it was very thin, so thin that the fitted sheet kept coming off the head of the bed every time you sat down or laid down on it which was very annoying having to fix it roughly ten times a day if not more. The breakfast buffet is the same as you get at most places. Nothing special...scrambled eggs and some kind of meat. They did not have apples at any day and bananas were there for the first two days of my stay but not for the rest. Coffee was out on 3 out of the 5 days I went down for breakfast. It is kind of sad of the lack of care for these breakfast buffets. It would be nice to have a change up on the breakfast menu like try biscuit and gravy or even a breakfast wrap but no, it is scrambled eggs and something. So, I guess the bottom line, make sure you like scrambled eggs. The staff was polite, what you would expect from a hotel. No one stood out, so I cannot throw a shout out for someone going above and beyond their normal duties. Bottom line, if you need a room with two bedrooms, there is little choice out there in hotels. If you just need a regular room, I would suggest you go elsewhere.
The facility was clean and the staff was very friendly. Was here on business and did not get to sample the managers reception, but breakfast was good, it had options for the big eaters and the yogurt and fruit folks. Pool looked clean, but I didn't swim.
We had a water line break in our home and had to find a place to relocate during renovation; however, we have two dogs. Where are pets allowed to stay?? After much research, we found the most wonderful "home away from home" for us. The Residence Inn in Greenville, SC was the answer. First of all, it is a very friendly quiet place to stay off the I-85 corridor settled back off the road with trees and lots of grass. Secondly, the people and staff went out of their way to make a guest feel at home. In addition, the bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was just enough to satisfy our needs and help us prepare some easy meals. Last of all, we looked forward to the complimentary breakfast each morning. Thank you to Ted, Carol and staff at The Residence Inn for making our stay the best that it could be. We appreciate having the opportunity to bring our dogs with us during our temporary relocation.
Stayed here for a night. It's ok. It does have a kitchen which is nice. The staff is friendly. It is not very far from the confluence of expressways. It does need some updating. And when the AC unit comes on it sounds like a jet engine. The breakfast area where the food is positioned seems like it was retrofitted in there. Very cramped and hard to get by people to get the food. Compared to La Quinta which is cheaper, I would definitely stay at LaQuinta.
