My wife and I stayed here as we were going to an Alice Cooper concert in the very nearby Hydro and decided to make a night of it. And very glad we did too. Not only was the hotel exceptionally welcoming and very comfortable, had we not arranged to stay somewhere we would have missed our last train home as Alice didn't leave the stage till after eleven. Our room was ideal with a comfortable king sized bed and the breakfast was tasty and plentiful. When I mentioned that the evening was part of my sixtieth birthday celebrations the receptionist arranged for a bottle of wine to be delivered to our room. A very nice touch. We would definitely stay here again.

I chose this hotel because it offers a covered walkway connection to the congress center (SEC), a small gym and indoor pool that opens at 06:30, proximity to the airport (20 minutes), free WIFI, comfortable work space with plenty of electrical plugs, decent 24-hr room service, in-room coffee/tea service and ample fresh breakfast. As a frequent business traveler, these are the essentials. The hotel itself is in need of a facelift (worn/lumpy duvet, grey/used towels, carpeting and drapes showing wear and tear) but overall, clean and functional.

We were only here for one night but can highly recommend. The view from the room was amazing, straight down the Clyde and over to the BBC. Easy access to the centre of town via Exhibition station. Arranged a late check out when we arrived which was absolutely no problem. Will definitely use for our next gig at the Hydro.

Stayed at the Crowne Plaza for an event at the SECC and we had an excellent stay. It really is very hard to find fault with the hotel. The price was very reasonable, the food is excellent, the room was large and spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.

Stayed for one night very near to concert venue, reasonable walk from Exhibition Station so accessible from Glasgow stations. Room very spacious great views of the Clyde especially enjoyed food in the bar great value especially with 20% members discount. We will definitely use this hotel again when in Glasgow

Location is undoubtedly perfect for a concert we attended at the Hydro. However, a few little things brought into question value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful. Reception, bar and restaurant areas lovely. Breakfast good. However, room felt a little cramped. The surface of the bath and the bottom of toilet were stained and in need of an upgrade. Linen immaculately clean but let down by several holes in duvet cover. In a hotel of this standard, for the price we paid, this was not something I ever expected to find. Would stay again due to proximity to entertainment venues but only if we secured a better deal.

Stayed over again after exhibiting at the Wedding Show in the SEC. As always a most enjoyable stay from start to finish. Enjoyed our Bar meal and champagne cocktails on Saturday night before retiring ha ha exhausted after a hard day!!! Breakfast on both mornings set us up for the day with plenty of choices. Special mention as always to Gary, the other staff in the bar and girls on reception. Also visited for lunch recently after attending the Good Food Show....again thoroughly enjoyed and glad to say we will be returning again very soon. Very highly recommended hotel.

Judging solely on room as did not use the spa or gym facilities. Adequately spaced room with hanging space and drawers. Comfortable bed and addition of herbal sleep aids a nice touch. Feel ensuite could do with a bit of an update-unsightly stains in toilet. Room also did not appear to have been made up fully after previous guest-no still water in fridge and only 1 bathrobe. Struggle to see how the room justifies the price though undoubtedly a more than convenient location for events.

I stayed three nights at the hotel in Early October while attending an event at the exhibition centre. It didn’t disappoint. The rooms are really well appointed, the staff are super friendly and the restaurant serves very well prepeared and tasty food. The location, on the banks of the Clyde, is very, very nice indeed and the city centre is an easy half hour walk. I used the gym facilities which are better then those usually found in a hotel of this standard and I wasn’t unhappy with what was on offer. I’d say that the Crowne Plaza is a really good place to stay for a few nights in Glasgow.

This was our first stay at the Crowne Plaza and we were very pleased. We stayed over after Metallica at the Hydro and I'm glad we did. The hotel is clean and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. The prices in the restaurant and bar were the most reasonable I think I've ever come across in the UK and the breakfast was awesome. We enjoyed it so much I've just booked for our next gig in December, I feel this may become a regular thing! We had a room on the top floor and the view was amazing.
